Poor Connor. He seems like a genuinely good person. Whether he comes back to racing or not, at least he’s still with us and will be relatively okay. I’m so glad he’s into moto and we get to have him on janky shows like Pulp
@@Neopaintballofficial I think it’s more of the fact that there’s some jokes thrown in about a serious situation that he was in that didn’t come across very funny.
@@markchavesjr555 so its ok when conner crashes out other riders ? Do you race or ride bmx ? Conner is a dirty racer and got what his time gave him . Karma is a bitch .
Glad to see Connor talking and smiling with you guys. Always love how level headed he can be even about something that personally impacts him so much. Thanks for sharing the episode!
Thanks for coming on connor. We were all wondering how things were going. Hello from Brisbane Australia. My 10 y old has a signed jersey of yours and cherishes it
Such a pro at everything, Connor! Hope to see you come back at life better than ever. I hope it includes racing, but life is always more important. You already are able to convey ideas and feelings brilliantly. Already ahead of most.
Conner being behind was obligated to yeid to the person in front. Him over shooting the manual is what crashed him . Its unfortunate but not uncommon. He got lucky if anything

Did not include about danger an severity provided by clip pedals. The whole body pivoted around the bottom bracket, at sudden deacceleration, becomes as hammer with the head on the top. The track is not from mud, but asphalt. This was potentially lethal and allot of crashes are made much worse because the legs still attached to the bike while crashing.
as a former bmx racer id just like to say that the control over the bike is greatly improved with clips and tracks are always paved in atleast the berms so these are just normal racing conditions that are apart of sport
Absolutely normal and safe to use clips as I have. He was sustaining those injuries regardless

@@Dillonpickle I would not even come up with this concern if I would not study body mechanics and hundreds of videos/photos of BMX racers falling. Very often, most of the falling, the rider is still attached with one or both legs to the additional structure which greatly changes trajectory, rotations and momentum of part of the body. @@blakebolton4852 I know. I was racing MX and BMX too, and now I am BMX track/pump track designer. The surface is compared with MX tracks - they have little idea about smashing the head against asphalt while one is still attached to the deaccelerated bike. Please read again what is my concern... in a lot of cases, riders fall down, while additional, pulling weight is still attached - that fact makes clips very dangerous. I believe that SW did crash with the bike still attached, Jelle in his accident with a chain over the track... and in hundreds of cases where riders got really severe injuries which would be less possible if the rider is free falling. Remember that mass crash of cruisers in SouthAfrica - there were riders launching off the bikes, and some who made frontflips with bikes still attached - who needs an engineering degree to tell which case is worse? ua-cam.com/video/fS6lVY6fkmg/v-deo.html Clips are really cool until You go down like Conor. Control over the bike? - Work on it!(BMX Freestyler shouts). A logical fallacy is in fact that there's no real competitive benefit from clips if everyone uses them, and mostly for power transfer. Skilled pilots don't need clips for equal competition. What You really add to the sport is more heavy injuries and repelling from the sport. We have a lot of top boys, who crashed in first years of using clips - broke both arms, had a severe concussion with ICU, broke C's with the quadriplegic outcome, repeated collarbone fractures, ribs with lung puncture, tore livers, etc and that become their last ride or race in BMX...others leave with them, by saying "Fck that!" Making this crash about the clear chip on your shoulder against clips while ignoring the actual key aspects of both speed and the dodginess of the final jump on the first straight is just weird af dude and super disrespectful to Connor. Clips did not cause the major impact here. He would've gone over the bars head first the way he did on flats as well after his front wheel was clipped. As Connor said himself in the video, it went with such speed he had no time to brace for impact. Respect the rider and don't make the comment section about how much you hate clips mate.
Conner is a great guy I’m sure but I went to a BMX National and I was like.. really these old guys, riding bmx??. Personally there should be an age limit. Like 20. If you’re older than 20. Get some stones and tide a dirt bike. Get out of your moms house, grow up. These old bmx dudes are pathetic
I should definitely turn down hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to race BMX and instead go ride a dirtbike starting at 20 as an amateur because Utah Desert Rider suggested it on a youtube comment. What do you think Marx?
@@connorfields11 Great to see you doing well!!!! I race 51 over Intermediate quick question, do you think the injury would've been a little less gnarly on a standard BMX track vs a super cross track, and also how do you get on the gate and not think about "will this happen again"??? I know it would make me ride a little timid, also was that the dude with the 2 speed that cut across?

right. just thankful he’s alive honestly, and the fact that he feels mostly good on top of that is a testament to his resilience for sure

its the same helmets in motocross
