Hi Brad. Good evening. Besides Damascus, Al Halab shawarma is also excellent. I've enjoyed it several times through Grab services, and it still warm when I had it.
Ya man that would be awesome! Always down to collab! It's fun meeting other UA-camrs who know about what we do! LMK if you're headed there, or any country! I'm all over Asia lately, and will likely continue focusing on Asian countries mostly this year.
FYI, That huge McDonald's is the 1st McDonald's restaurant ever in Malaysia.. You pass by the historic place.. If you walk after the Halab, you can found the local traditional food.. That restaurant serving local cuisine for Malay weeding ceremony.. You can walk to the shop while waiting your Shawarma.. The restaurant named is Nasi Kahwin Hari-hari.. Great video, man! I really enjoy watching your videos because you produce excellent content. However, it seems that all the Western UA-camrs tend to visit the same places, such as Wanjo Nasi Lemak, Petaling Street, KLCC, etc. There are tons of videos online from those same locations. Perhaps you could go there and do a review of that location. Paranormal videos are great too, plenty of paranormal places in Malaysia

Hi Brad. I love your videos from all over. I just have a question. Why do you always tell people you are from America instead of the United States. I live in Canada and we are part of America as well (North America) as is Mexico.
I’ve never been asked this before! Okay so I just did some self analysis, and this is going to be a long answer. I’ll get back to you in several hours when I have time to give a full explanation!! Super happy you asked me this thanks!!🙏
Okay so first of all, for some reason (and I don't know why) I've thought of America as a shorter way of saying "United States of America" since it's in the country name. For this, I think I should instead say "USA" to be shorter, but accurate. Secondly, this is extremely ignorant and incorrect of me, but I never actually made the connection that Canada and Mexico are still within "America". Further, even all South American countries would apply here. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I guess I just never thought through it. One weak counter argument I can make here is that it helps to keep my location more generalized. When I originally started traveling and talking about my origins I never knew if I should say I'm from the USA, California, Los Angeles, Orange County, Irvine, etc. So I've made a habit of trying to guess which is appropriate depending on to whom I'm speaking. I've been places where people haven't heard of LA, Los Angeles, and even California. So I could argue that everyone knows America, and is still technically true. However, that's not what I mean to communicate. So from now on I think I'll say USA instead of America. Thanks for pointing this out, and sending me down this deep thought journey!

Haha ya he charged me correctly! I was focused on the conversation and was kinda careless. Glad he was an honest guy!
The shawarma was 14 Ringgit not 40 Ringgit ... which is only around USD2.90
Good thing the guy was honest and gave me the right change!
Dear Brad Try to adjust the lens to make the video appear clearer
Ya… this time I actually brought out my GoPro instead of my good camera. Sony ZV-E1. GoPro really struggles in low light
The shawarma cost 14 ringgit about 3 USD
Haha ya glad I wasn’t charged 40
I love shawarma! It'd better not be 40 Ringgit for that shawarma.🤨
Haha it was 14, I just heard wrong. Super delicious
Take the MRT, and check out the other areas of K. L.
Ya I plan to for sure. There’s so much to see in KL it’s been hard to leave, but I need to do a proper tour around all of Malaysia!
@@WhereisBrad Thank you bro.
I was just wondering. Are u only going to stay in KL or are u going to explore other parts of Malaysia too? 😁. Because Malaysia is so much more than just KL.
Yep!! For now I only had time for KL, but I know I need to come back to see everything! There’s so much I’ve heard about so I plan to come back very soon and do a full proper tour
@@WhereisBrad 😔😔. Its ok but cant wait to see u again 😁
@secrets.295 thanks for the support!!
Brad cream inside is usually garlic sauce
Ah that’s why I love it so much!!
YOU SHOULD TRY RAMLY BURGER IN KUALA LUMPUR BRAD
Many have suggested it! And I still haven’t tried. I’ll make sure to make a video when I do for sure!!
bukit bintang mean in english is starhill you also can call there starhill. i miss mardi gras at new orleans bro
Oh cool okay. First time I heard that one. Haha I haven’t been to New Orleans yet but plan to go!
@@WhereisBrad please try ramly burger . US origin but malaysian taste

Haha I get that a lot. But in US people think I might be Mexican. I’m actually half Filipino
@@WhereisBrad ic..good to know
@@WhereisBradFilipino blood no wonder you are so friendly. And now your kids will have a mixture of Filipino and Thai. Explosive friendly combinations😊
Hehe yep! Prob going to very small too haha
not 14 Rupiah. it is 14 Ringgit @ (RM14). (RM is Ringgit Malaysia)
That’s another one I kept mixing up in this video. So dumb. As I jump around countries I’ve been mixing up some things. I’ll get it right !!
The Shwarma was just Rm14. Check your change, dude. By the way, looks like both your buddies abandoned you for Thailand! Lol😂
He did give me change, good thing he was an honest dude! Haha miss those guys
Lol thats funny :D, Solo and Chris have left the chat :D:D lol
lolol
The sauce is toum.
Toum? Okay cool well I love it! Thanks!
Let’s meet up in kl Malaysia
I’m thinking of going this week
Did you make it home safe after your extended trip?
@@WhereisBrad i had a great trip thanks to your wonderful videos
Super glad I was able to make a difference for you!!
And that you had a great trip!!
Considering Malaysia average income that is a cheap shawarma
Do you know what the average income is for like....maybe a restaurant worker? Or a nurse? I'm curious.
Brad, the Shawarma ..cost you 14.00ringgit not 40.00..is about 3usd...not bad eihhh ...malaysian currency is Ringgit not Rupiah ..😊
Syrian not Serbian..you said it wrong....gosh ...you kept saying Serbian
Ugh I realized that while editing! So dumb thank you!
You should try tandoori chai in india
Ooh okay! I will!
I think it’s RM14. Cos I saw the balance he returns to you.
lol ya you’re right. Good thing he has an honest guy and gave the right change
😃💯✌️
🙏🥰🙏🥰
👍
🙏🥰🇲🇾
5:19 dang Brad… no wonder you were speechless 😮
RM40 for a piece of shawarma is extortion! I think it was ‘tourist tax’. Unbelievable… RM14 should be the acceptable price.
In my area, famous with Middle Eastern people as well (many of them living here) shawarma with fries only costs RM22. The sauce is standard issued. Yours was just a shawarma…
Haha ya i believe I got change for it being 14 RM so I think I just misheard. Thank you!
If I work in the shawarma shop, I will eat free everyday lol
Ya??? That’s a hookup for sure!! So much protein!
Very expensive Shawarma!!.....I can find Shawarma under RM20 in Bukit Bintang.....
Haha I heard wrong! It was 14RM
Naahhhh @@WhereisBrad
lol nah?? Check out the change they gave me
I’m pretty sure
❤❤ that forearms 😅
Haha tyty!!
Fourty and fourteen really confused. Should ask one four or four zero.
8 dollars shawarma seems like the price at Aussie or US.
lol it was 14.
My God its RM Ringgit Malaysia not Rupiah 🫣🫣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and its rm14 not rm40 equal to about 3 dollars 🤭🤣🤣🤣
Haha I know 😅 I can’t believe I messed that up AGAIN! It’s hard when I jump around countries, but I’ll get it right
Shawarma regular 14ringgit . It's not 40ringgit brother. If it's 40ringgit it is so expensive. Ringgit btw. Hehehe. I love u brother.
Thank you! Good thing he gave me the correct change, I totally heard that wrong! Lol ya I mixed up rupiah with ringgit multiple times now. So many things.
Rm 14 not rm 40 us $ 3
Ahhh ya I mixed those up. Thank you!
Bro.. he said 'fourteen'.. not 'forty' 😅
lol thank you! Good think he was honest and gave the right change
14 or 40 Ringgit for that Shawarma br
lol 14. I heard wrong
One days you should take your wife on a honeymoon in Kuala Lumpur
Trust me…. I’m already trying to figure out when!!! I know she’ll love it!!
Aight it's the second time u said Rupiah now. It's Ringgit Malaysia! "40 Rupiah" is .012 Ringgit. Please don't hurt yr Malaysian viewers anymore 🙄😂
I know!!! I’m so sorry! I was watching while editing and so annoyed with myself! I actually made a bunch of dumb mistakes in this one.
WE Always gona support yo just bé Always humble dont bé liké that chris when hé started hé was humble but now je got lot of flowores hé become arrogant and su baad man
I will always stay humble. I don’t know how to promise that other than through proof over time, but I will make sure to always stay my true self. I appreciate the continued support!
@@WhereisBradYou see Brad. Do you realise lots of viewers are telling you that you are humble. Some people get big headed when they have lots of viewers and hope you don't. Honestly I won't bother following someone if there's no response. I'm sure lots others won't too. But I understand it's not easy to reply to every viewers when you have tonnes of viewers😂 Haha easier if you have a partner to help you😅
Ya, I can't imagine getting help with responding to comments. My wife spends a lot of time responding to stuff, so sometimes we sit together and have responding sessions lol. So that helps. It's fun to share the really funny, positive, and even the really negative ones. I sometimes help her deal with the negative stuff. My best advice for her is "kill them with kindness"! Haha some people say mean stuff, and she'll just praise them for taking time to comment and give tons of thanks haha
@WhereisBrad Haha the world would be a boring place if everybody is the same right😂 For me it's a blessing in disguise. It teaches me to be a nice person because I'll be bo different from them if I was rude.
You are really nice that's why I wanna share with you some Asian cultures tips to make your travel in South East Asia more comfortable.
I watched your Thaipusam video yesterday and I could sense the tension between some nationalities. It can be quite toxic that's why sometimes I stay away from the media.
Do you know you are the only vlogger who make me read every single comments from your viewers as it's educational and I learn more about their countries and cultures. Thanks to you☺️
I know what you mean!
Haha ya there’s so many awesome people in here giving amazing tips and helpful info! I feel like I’ve learned so much from just that and can plan way better because of it!!
Syrian.....not Serbian
I know! I was kicking myself for saying that while editing!
You can meet a better girl here😅
lol. I’ve met many amazing people, but I love my wife 🥰🙏
Where’s your wife, Brad?
Haha she couldn’t join me for this trip. I hope to bring her with me when I come next time!! I know she’ll love Malaysia as much as me!
Not sure if you know but she’s got a UA-cam and a big Facebook page, “Kris A Chiang Rai Girl”.
14 ringgit
Haha yep, 🙏 thank you! Glad he gave the correct change
Did he really say Serbian? 🤣
lol I did and I don’t know why!!! I’m sorry
I always passed by these places wanting to try them but instead followed the hype and line at Damascus across the street… super overrated don’t go there 👎
I did go to Damascus too. I felt like the quality was similar, but short lines and good prices here
@@WhereisBrad Gotcha, seeing the sandwiches in your video and people eating them just outside the place, it looked bigger than Damascus' and somewhere maybe the locals go instead.
Hope you are enjoying KL! Just left a day ago for Penang and here for few days before returning. Another IG/YT worthy place might be TG's Bistro (Indian) in Bukit Bintang, they serve Dosa's that are like 3-4 ft long!
3-4 feet! Dayum! Sounds awesome thanks for the tip!!!
Syrian not serbian lmao😅
lol I know right!! I was cringing while editing so much!
Brad..with all these food u ate lately, have u checked ur body weight yet..?😅 … for sure u gain few kilos, ay..? 😂
anyway, eat well n safely…🫶🏻🫡
Hahaha ya… I gained over 2 kilos when I first got to Malaysia, but I’ve managed to get in the gym and get back down
@@WhereisBradno way.. Just keep that "treasure" you found in Malaysia inside your tummy.. 😂
