Taotao ATM150-A Evo scooter - replacement of fuel and vacuum lines

  • In this video, I trace the fuel and vacuum lines after they have been upgraded on a Taotao ATM150-A Evo GY6 150cc Chinese scooter. It's a good idea to upgrade these lines because the stock lines are prone to deterioration within a few months, and a leak could leave you stranded. These lines are high quality Helix vacuum line (blue) 3/16" x 3' and Helix fuel line (red) 3/16" x 3'. Of course, you can choose your preferred color and brand for each. The nice thing about these lines is that they're translucent so you can see if you're getting fuel in your vacuum line and make sure that fuel is flowing in the fuel line.

    I have a problem with them. The first one was blocked due to non-using the scooter. It was replaced with a new one. Then, the new one was ok for only 2-3 weeks before it gets blocked again, so the fuel can't go to carb. Idk the issue, since that the fuel is good quality.

    will you please please please make a video showing where every fuel and vac line leads to? this is the only high quality set of videos i have found that has the exact same scooter as me. I need to know where the fuel line out the bgottom of the carb goes, how the lines lead to the "pair" system, and the one from the crank case.... or point me in the right driection for the video. thank you

    • @radconserv68
      @radconserv68 5 років тому

      The fuel line from the very bottom of the carb has a "spring" around it and is just a drain hose for the float bowl. It leads down to the belt housing and has a screw that you can loosen to drain the carb's float bowl. There is a vacuum line that leads from the intake manifold to the "petcock". This signals that the carb needs fuel and opens the diaphragm to allow fuel to flow to the carb. If this is not connected or has a hole in it, the engine will not run. There is another "vacuum" line that runs to the air cleaner housing which doesn't do anything but recycle unburned gas fumes. It is not necessary to run the engine.

    My 49cc moped doesn't seem to have a t shaped tube. Being used for such a long time, It's had work done to remove the emissions system. Is this normal? As of right now I'm trying to fix a "constant cranking but not starting" issue. Is this a vacuum issue?

    I have an Eton beamer it's not getting gas through the fuel lines. new lines,new gas, gas tank cleaned, carb cleaned. I have an electric fuel pump that's attached to my gas tank could that be the issue?

    • @thordadrocks3263
      @thordadrocks3263 3 роки тому

      Never seen an electric fuel pump on the scooters I’ve owned but there’s multiple ways to check if the fuel is getting to the carb. Key on, undo the fuel line before the fuel filter and see if gas pours out, or with electric fuel pumps you can listen 👂 with your ear close to the gas tank for a whirring sound, it’s brief but you’ll know when you hear it

I am looking for Fuel Lines, Vac Line, Filter (Oil/Gear), NGK Plugs, Free Flow Exhaust, Uni Pod Air Filter, Kehin Carb 118 main jet, tires, and valve stems. Where do I get these parts from?

    • @thordadrocks3263
      @thordadrocks3263 3 роки тому

      The top of the head ? The thicker hose ? It is positive crank case ventilation (PCV) and Doesnt really matter as far as the engine running, mine is just hangin out down there when I drive my scooter but you can drill a hole in the air filter and insert the hose in there to recycle the pcv air

    Hi guys! Can you help me? On my scooter I have this vacuum pump for petrol: www.amazon.com/ROP-Shop-LG808656-M138498-M145667/dp/B07319CFKL
    As you can see from the penultimate photo, on one side of the pump, under the word Mikuni, there is a hole. Gasoline comes out of this hole a few times. It's normal? Is it a vent? Or do I have to change the pump?
    Thanks

    I got most parts from scrappydogscooters (dot) com. Fuel and vac line are one and the same. Valve stems and NGK plugs from any auto parts store or scrappydogscooters. Kenda K413 - 130/60R13 tires from amazon (dot) com, select the vendor leatherup (dot) com on amazon. Unsure about exhaust, air filter, carb upgrades--I left these stock.

      you can have more than one filter. they just can't be plugged or too restricted.
