I wanna thank you personally… I’m a guy that really didn’t know a lot about scooters when it came to maintenance and my bike didn’t start for a while. Like a month I tried everything. I couldn’t take it to a mechanic because I didn’t know anyone in my area. I had to manual take the bike apart and learn it and actually analyze what I was lookin at. I changed the spark plug which didn’t help at all and I was just about to sell it cuz at that point I didn’t know what else to do UNTIL I came across this video and how easy you made installing a carburetor looked. I installed my carburetor and it turned right on and when I tell you how relieved I was.. I usually never comment on videos but this video saved my bike and I thank you for sharing this video to the world and making me a happy man. Have a great day sir
That's why I do it 😉
LMAO! Looking for scooter repair videos (looking to get old 50cc scooter to learn how to both repair as well as ride a scooter) and I saw the I fix shet and thought I'd stay. Thank you very much for both sharing your knowledge and sense of humor
I'm glad the video helped you man
My scooter is ah lanco cabo 50. Won't go more then 15 mph. I just out b12 chemtool in it still won't go passed 15mph. Can u messages me
That's because it's time to clean the car or replace it. Chinese corporators do not last very long
I clean the carb tho
@@uhuru81lamarr Then it's time to replace the carb. Chinese carburetors don't last long if you're not using ethanol free fuel it eats up all the rubbers inside and creates ethanol damage and then the carb stops working really quickly. They're just cheap little carburetors that's why they're 15 to $20 on eBay
Bro my scooter does the same thing it goes to like 15 20 kmh and it yust dropes gas or compresion
Hey I have a 50cc gator 50SRT I want to put a 150cc carb to make it faster can you help me
Putting a bigger carburetor on it doesn't make it go faster. Speed is gained through CVT tuning. Throwing more fuel at the engine only gives you a faster take off it doesn't give you a higher top end. You put a bigger carburetor on it then you have a lot of tuning ahead of you that needs to be done for proper air flow And fuel mixture.
Hey man my moped is a wildfire 150cc it will start up after a bit then run for a while riding it then randomly die what could this be
Most likely a failing CDI Or overheating voltage regulator
Hi there so I have the same scooter wolfrx50 and not too long ago my scooter started bogging so when I hit the throttle full it bogs and won’t accelerate the scooter starts up fine and sounds fine just when I hit the throttle it does what I explained right now I’m trying to figure out what’s wrong with her so I don’t know if it could be a carb problem or something else she’s only a year old and only did 5000 miles on her im desperate to get her back on the road what do you think the problem could be ??
100% carburetor. Replace your carburetor you can order them on eBay or amazon look up GY6 50CC carburetor they're about $20. Chinese carburetors do not last very long you get about 3,000 to 5,000 miles out of them and then they are toast. The reason why is they are not designed for the ethanol content that we have in American gas, they are Chinese carburetors they do not use ethanol fuel in China so the rubber gaskets are not designed for ethanol. This is why you only get about a year out of a carburetor and most times they fail even before that it's good to have a couple of them on your shelf. Also it's time for you to get your valves adjusted you should have done it at 2000 milesYou're probably 3000 miles over your need for valve adjustments this will also cause bogging because the valves get very tight.
@@IFixShet mmm got it yeah and once I did 2000 miles I took it to the shop and they did the adjustments to the valve but it probably also needs to be worked on as well anyway but thank you for your response back I really appreciate it so much 🙏
would bad carburetor cause my speedometer to stop working: jus subscribed by the way
Nooo, That would be a speed sensor located at the front wheel
I have a major problem with my scooter I have an extreme XG 575
Can you emphasize on this problem a little bit more?
I have a Wolf 150 and the last 6 months, it will stall out on every stop light for the first 15 minutes of the trip. Every time I let go of the throttle it wants to stall until it gets warmed up. I adjusted the idle and it still does it. So I'm figuring it's the carburetor. I was gonna take it apart and clean it, but for under $40, you're saying I can replace it with a brand new one? Seems way to easy!! That might be my route. Thanks.
Yes
My SYM carburetor scooter over half year that engine does not working in Taiwan! After I push scooter start motor switch and then I got some situations as below: (1) engine cylinder pressure is 126psi (2) spark plug has flash (3) fuel tank does not working to push gasoline via fuel filter out? Do you have some idea to help to fix my breakdown SYM scooter here, thanks!
I have a 49cc scooter I'm working on. I have bought two carbs for it to change it and neither one works. Put old carb in it will start. Do i need to adjust the new carbs some how?
Question..what would cause my moped to start and idle but as soon as I go to accelerate it dies? Is it the carb? Thanks 😊
Carb needs to be cleaned or replaced. Trying turning your idle up first though
I'm thinking about getting this exact model Scooter. Is it something you'd recommend? How is your experience with it? Thanks!
I mean it's a Chinese scooter they normally last 8 to 10,000 miles and then the engine needs a rebuild
Thanks for the video man. I love that your videos are just really basic and do the point.
Always! Don't forget man if you haven't subscribed show a little support it helps me grow and helps my content be seen by more people cheers glad I could help
Where does the hose attached to plastic to tha manifold go to

Hi!!! I just found you! I have a 2022 rough house… which leaned over too much when I was towing… gas came out… the. Bottom… the next day.. my scooter just turns over but won’t start… any advice.. ( I’m learning the engine..)I’m a girl learning… hahah love your channel
Do you get your parts from Amazon?
@@KennethAdkins-u7n yes or Ebay doesn't matter
I have just got a BRAND NEW NINJA 50cc 4T scooter from Direct bikes supplier UK. the scooter is very slow on take off so have change the rollers and put 3/ 8oz roller in the Variator and slightly turned up idle. I would like some info regarding the exhaust on my scooter it has what maybe a electric censor connected to it .I would like to eventually upgrade the exhaust in the future . but these do not have a censor connected to them like the stock one on my scooter so how do get around this /ALSO my carb has a air pipe running from the airbox to the carb and I have a sports air filter I would like to use instead of the scooter air box / when I take off the scooter air box what should be done to the air pipe that is connected the the air filter box
After replacing my 50cc carb and then started it didn't go past 20kmh can someone help?
I need to change my carburetor tray. If I remove the carburetor, not moving the adjustment screws will it throw the carburetor out of control.Thks for your video 😊
this video is realy good. thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I have an adly rt50 2016 50cc motorcycle and it starts only sometimes and smells like gas
So there is a short hose on the carb diaphragm do it needs to be connected to vacuum? Or just the 90° elbow stays not connected
Can u help me wit my scooter plz

Great vid , dude. Very well done, thanx.
Great a 5 minute repair turned out 11 min great video
So nothing bad will happen if I replace a stock 50cc carb with a 150cc one?
That's not quite accurate you might run to Rich you might run to lean running rich is acceptable you will foul spark plugs but not great for your machine running lean you will burn your cylinder up and fry your engine you need to tune it properly with proper jetting and airflow this is most likely going to be better done at a shop
where can i order parts online?
Ebay, Amazon
How about the tube connection at the side of the intake manifold, wher should to connect it
De obicei carburatoarele noi sunt deja reglate. Eu il reglez dupa 6 minute de functionare (RO).
Hii..man I need help please
OK how would you like me to help?
Brother I need help with my rx50!!
Ok, what's up?
I’m reviving my rx50 after after it was stolen and hotwired and sitting for like 2 or 3 years .
CURRENT QUESTION, How do I clean the carb , or should I just upgrade it because I was planning on adding a bbk 70cc cylinder ? 0:03
I'm trying to replace a crank in my scooter this is the third one this week
Normally when you have crank shaft failure outside of the bearings or the rod is not even causing it to put too much strain on the crank shaft And out of whack rod or piston Can prematurely wear out crank shafts quickly
Ok I watched today. I liked . I subscribed. Sorry to need your help so soon . I just installed my carburetor and as I was “ trying to attach “ the trotted cable the carburetor throttle doesn’t turn. The shaft with the spring? Any ideas of what I didn’t do

I was wondering if you can tell me how to take off the headlight cover off a 2022 vittaci spark 150 cc.I took off all the screws but i dont want to break it .Are there slots you have to slide up or down ?Someone told me the cdi box is there cuz i looked everywhere and its a clusterfuck to follow the coil wires.help!!ty
I have a 2020 Chinese 49 cc scooter Well it started with me having to jump the scooter because starting the scooter killed the battery because it wouldn't start then Everytime I hooked the cables up it will start not was like that for about 4 or 5 days now it won't start at all now what would you think
I need more information is the battery dead does it not turn over at all is it turning over but not starting?
Thanks for the help I have a lot of questions
I hope after watching this you don't have a lot of questions
I have a taotao 50 cc scooter. It won't stay running. I've checked the valves, it gets spark but no gas is going to the spark plug. How do I fix that?
2:52
Replace your petcock and make sure the vacuum drive connected to the petcock does not have a leak.
My carb is kinda on the side of the scooter
I was thinking of putting a 100cc carb in a 50cc engine would I have to take off my air box to run it I also have a filter to connect to carb
There's a lot involved with giving your engine more fuel you have to do proper carb tuning it's not as easy as just putting on the carburetor and slapping a larger air filter on it and hoping for the best. You will potentially be running rich or lean condition each one of these will have its own effect on the machine if you're going to do this and you don't know what you're doing I suggest bring it to a shop to do carb tuning so you don't burn out your engine.
Okay so question can I replace it for a 150cc carb from a 49cc carb to a 150cc carb
@@Juan_Gbriel98 what size engine do you have
Thank you and God bless.
Great video
Thanks
Where did you get the carburetor from mine's has been sitting in the garage for 7 years I know I have to exchange it where do I get the parts let me know okay
eBay carbs are about $20
Thank you bro! Really helps me to replace a new carb to my 50cc
I have the same scooter and bought a new carburetor just like that but the electric choke wires are reversed in the plug. It’s a one way plug but the yellow and green wires will be reversed when I plug it in what should I do? Is it important that the yellow goes to yellow and the green goes to green?
Try it see if it runs like it is and if it doesn't reverse the wires
Thank you for showing me how to do this. I got a Lance PCH 50 recently and, after a bit of trial and error figuring out how to ride her (which involved laying her down a couple times, to my shame), I ran into the problem of fuel leaking into the air filter. I was told that it was a carburator problem by some friends and I've been totally afraid to mess with it to clean it or adjust the float. I've read and watched things that showed me the different components, but nothing that showed me how to take it out - which is the part that scared me a little bit until you showed me how easy it was.
If it turns out not to be a carb issue, where would I look next?
Valve lash 😉
Hey man just wanted to know if a new carb needs to be tuned once installed? I’ve read different things regarding that. Thanks
It really depends on whether it works good with your machine or not if you're noticing it's not running good then you have to adjust the jet size. You Don't want a scooter that's running lean or running too rich
cool replacement and great video
Easy peasy lemon squeezy
Are these the same motors on the song fang 50 cc because I want to big bore mine out
Yes
Solid video. Than you.
It would require a exhaust modification eventually I guess with the increased fuel burning ??
Not always
You dropped line/tube down in through the bottom to the side of the carb and didn't attach it. I have that issue and have no idea where to put that one. I also have a small L-shape tube that has fallen off and I can't figure that one out either. Can you give me some guidance?
The line that goes to the bottom is a runoff in case the float Bowl sticks. It doesn't go anywhere but pointed down at the ground because if the float sticks fuel has to have somewhere to go and you don't want it pouring out all over your engine for chance of Catching Fire. It is exactly where it is supposed to be
An L-shaped splitter is vacuum line connection points
Is that a vacuum line close to the enricher? When I start my scooter fuel comes out of that. Or maybe an overflow line.
If it's next to the enricher then it's the overflow and that's normally caused by a sticking float
My kymko keeps bogging out and back fires and turns of
That sounds like a timing problem to me or a carburetor gas air mixture issue
thanks bro u helped sm. i couldn’t find it anywhere. i thought the one that i bought was wrong. didn’t know u could just take the old bucket off and use the one the carb came with. thanks again
That's what my Channel's here for the way you can help me is just drop a subscription turn on the notification Bell I make all sorts of scooter content all the time
I have an older Tao Tao - it’s the VIP, the manual says cy-50a. I bought a replacement carburetor off Amazon but I don’t think it’s the right one. Any advice on how to track down the right one? I think it’s a 2011 or 2012 model year, whenever I search that on google, it just brings up Amazon and the same carburetor I bought
Thanks man learning so much from ya vid saving me alot of money on labour thanks again
That's what this whole channel is about
Engine # is on the left as you look from behind? I found the TAG that says " motor ", and assume the number showing ( yn50qt-8 ) is the correct number. If this is true, then you are wrong... My number was on the right side, as you look from the rear towards the front.. I spent a few minutes looking on the left. I have a bintelli spark, and want a new carb.. Thank you for getting me started in the right direction.. Clutch 1st...
Do I just subscribed I haven't even watched it yet but you seem to be pretty confident definitely going to be checking out all of your content I'm working on my 150 right now so I have a little cruiser when a visitor comes so when I'm riding my ninja they can have some fun.... Yes I know I can't go over 65 but I like the twisty turns more than anything on my motorcycle and the scooters are great way to get good videos because it's so quiet and easy to ride
So a 150 CC carburetor will have a couple vacuum lines coming off of it that are slightly different than the 50 CC but just take a picture before you get started so that you know where they go. Other than that it's pretty much the same installation
@@IFixShetso it's easy peasy to install a 150cc carburetor on a 50cc ?
@PrestonMiddle I don't know why you would want to, but sure.... Most likely it will be getting too much fuel And have a hard time staying running unless you put a big bore kit on it.
Flush Out the Gas Tank when installing a new carb. Thas why im here. New carb got clogged from Gas Tank Debreee.
I need some help figuring out why my scooter blazed Wolf will not start, and if it does, turn it idols and then shuts off. It worked and never gave me problems till one night a couple of months back. It just stopped working all the lights went off In the middle of the street, I pushed it back home luckily.I thought it was the battery. I bought a new battery. It still don't wanna come on. My air filter hose that's on my carburetor has a little crack in the seal. Will that keep it from starting and staying on?
Have you come across a fuel injection one yet all new ones come home in the UK with it I want to do a 50 mm big bore A9 cam the full monty I want to use the 150cc carb if I take off the fuel injection as it got the usual cdi box in it that is what I'M trying to find out before I buy one thanks for any help. Jeff
I'm sure there are fuel injection systems out here for these GY6 engines but it would just be too much of a pain in the ass to install when you can just buy a new carburetor anytime it has a problem for $20
Icebear has a fuel injected 300cc trike, I forget the name.
I would not purchase a Chinese driven fuel injection bike They will fail in a very short span of time leaving you stranded
Hello.
I have a wangye eivissa 2 125cc scooter year of manufacture 2022.
I notice you have an air drian filter. I have one on my scooter and its a YT80 WD air drain filter. I have 2 pipe being feed to the bottom of the air filter and one pipe missing.
Would you happen to know where the missing pipe goes to as i dont have a service manual for the scooter.
Cheers
I'm going to be honest I've never even heard of that type of scooter before
@@IFixShet its Chinese rubbish and it done 2015 miles and its smokes a bit. Its a 4 stroke iron horse and shouldn't be smoking with 2015 miles on the clock.
I'm trying to eliminate as much as possible before it has the valve seals replaced.

@alllivesmatter5750 yes smoking is definitely valve seat problems. My suggestion is to actually set them slightly loose rather than right on the money with the valve lash.
@@IFixShet I was hoping to avoid cracking the head open.

Great video, nice and clean. Now an issue I'm having that I could use some help with if possible. I just had to replace my carb on a GY6 50 cc QMB139. Got it in well enough; adjusted the fuel/air mixture for idle etc. However, no matter what I do it will not start unless I start it by having the throttle slightly twisted when I push the starter button.
Additionally I have to hold on to the slightly open throttle for about a minute and then the idle starts to increase on it's own. I release the throttle and it seems to settle in at about 2000-2200 rpm and stays there. It is almst as if the enricher is operating in reverse??
Another thing, if I shut it off it will start fine with one quick press of the button if I do so within 5-10 minutes. After that it'll only start if I twist the throttle...please advise.
Yeah this is signs of The wrong jets. You're not getting enough air or enough fuel on start up
Great video btw and thanks for the reply. Is it typical for a new carb from Amazon to come with wrong sized jets?
@@jgscole A 100%. You have to understand you're supposed to take the jets out of your OEM carburetor that came on it and then reinstall them in your after market carb. They are just putting basic general jet sizes in the ones that they sell on Amazon in eBay they're not designed for every scooter which is why the jets are changeable. I'm just going to get lucky you buy one install it and all your problems are solved and other times you buy 1 as the wrong jet sizes and then you have to tune your carburetor just like you're having to do now
@@IFixShetthank you. Hopefully you’ll make a video about this and more informations about the jet. 😊
