Beware of this SCAM in Yerevan, Armenia 🇦🇲

- In this video, I take a walk through a long tunnel in Yerevan that dates back to Soviet times. On my way to the Genocide Memorial, a friendly taxi driver offered me homemade vodka.
While at the Blue Mosque, I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful person named Lena. And to top it off, I tried some incredibly expensive pomegranate juice!

Price was on the wall, 15:59. It’s clear how much small and big one is.. You weren’t scammed..
yeah, it is real price for pomegranate juce everywhere in Armenia. May that is because only tourists drink it :)
maybe 4000 for a drink is too much, it's literal scam, i can buy one for 400 in a regular store
Bro, this is not a scam; it is expensive juice, Check the menu in in front of that place (seen in the video) small orange juice - 1000 dram, small Pomegranate 4000 dram, big one 5000 drams, it is just expensive juice.
You will never found a taxi driver like him only in Armenia 🤣❤very nice video👍👍
He was amazing 😁👍 Most fun taxi ride in my life!
@@Maartentravels in european countries you can forget about drinking while driving yout licens is gone than HAHA
He shouldn't drink and drive, and I didn't see him doing it either 😁
@@gaming4ever118 Armenia is European country in Europe too just people are different. I have even map of Europe from Belgium schools where it shows Armenia in Europe and other recourses. And i never met such taxi driver who would drink in work, maybe it was his own car out of service picking up people not regular working for a taxi service company and kind of secretly tried to drink
axper du hayes ?

I love the driver 😂❤🇦🇲 mh beautiful Armenia 🇦🇲
He's amazing 😁👍
that supper happy girl over charged, 4000 isnt even charged in 5* hotels.
She was exactly a pickpocket
Sounds expensive. The only way to know is to go check another fresh juice shop. You can still get some 100% pomegranate juice from the supermarket, which cost way below 4000AMD.
Thanks. I think it's really expensive indeed. How do they get customers?
Their other juices didn't look that bad for the price. If you want some good food check out (Tun Lahmajo) ; if you want to have a little drink (Calumet Ethnic Lounge) or since you are from Belgium (Dargett Craft Beer) ; a little coffee or food in a vintage place check out (Mirzoyan Library). Enjoy Armenia, you are the most welcome. @@Maartentravels
@@Maartentravelsi'm sure that usually it's cheaper unfortunately they took advantsge of you 😢. It should be in the range of 1500-2000
Thank you!
@@MaartentravelsIm Armenian local from Yerevan I live in the center and Ive paid 4000 multiple times for Pomegranate juice its really just expensive for this type of juice
I loved that taxi driver 😍🤣❤
А за мусор в переходе надо строго наказывать.
It's very pity to come to Armenia and enter to the only mosque, but not all Beautiful and Lovely Churches and Cathedrals❤☦️⛪💒
Great video.. I love the driver❤
Bravo!
На 15:58 видно на плакате что цена за гранатовый сок 4000 за большой 5000 ...
Bro my son got to store when he was 3 years old for buying chocolate for himself , you are walking in world 7th safest country
What a driver ver good ❤❤
Everything is legal.....there are prices on board - 15:48 min. No one force you to buy and get scammed.
Where exactly the tunnel is, which part of Yerevan?
Missak Manouchian Park
well Armenia visit lot of turist, prices go up and up..
4000 AMD holy moly that's mental
It's crazy, but the price was even written there. I guess it's a tourist trap.
@@Maartentravels Man yeah Americans will throw 20 dollars at them
@@EllisWRnot really, same price for locals too.
@@MomoMomoyan Not saying they lied to him. I'm saying that's expensive
same price for everyone, it's not a scam or trap, just expensive :) because pomegranate is not a cheap fruit, and there're no massive fields of it
btw, that old lady in the mosque, most of her information was wrong.
No scam detected
The elderly lady next to you on the bench was absolutely kissable. If I were you I would come back to Yerevan and kiss her.
7:55 Why "stangly", it is in Turkey now because of the genocide...
I didn't notice any SCAM

Thank you!
Dude she ripped you off bro. 8-10 bucks for juice?! thats more expensive than jambajuice!
😔
Nah, the pomegranate justice specifically is expensive everywhere here.
Tourist trap and scam are quite different things 🤦🏻♀️
You are addressing it as "scam" as if it is so common around Yerevan, while I understand it is clickbait for your video, and it is something outrageous for you which you had encountered, it only leaves a false impression on people who have no idea about the safety or trustworthiness of such a small country. If you said "beware of this scam in Paris, France," nobody would really care about the scam and the reputation of the country. But in Armenia's case, it (the thumbnail) might have played a role, as people might not have even clicked on your video, but memorized something unpleasant... Although, I also noticed you have another video titled as "everyone must visit Yerevan, Armenia." Regardless, it felt like as if nothing else mattered for you in your video, but the "scam." And also an advice from me as an experienced traveler, always check prices before you make a purchase.
You definitely got ripped off on the juice.
I realized there it was expensive but only later how crazy expensive..
It’s expensive everywhere, not just in Armenia.
no he didn't. fresh pomegranate juice is the most expensive juice you can get in yerevan or anywhere. I paid the same.
Good to know
You went across the tunnel and didn't go see the Children's Railway?!

Scamming something you can always find anywhere you go on earth 😂😂😂😂 #universal 🤣
Sadly 😢
bro the tunnel is a wind tunnel you arent supposed to go inside
yes u are supposed to go inside
Another great day in Yerevan. Is $10 for pomegranate juice a tourist trap? 🧃
10$ is too much i think its a scam
They charge the locals the same price, that kind of juices are expensive. In Georgia is about $7.00
in eu supermarket it is 5euro
Whatever you see in so called Armenia are build after they were settled in Irevan khanate, Western Azerbaijan by Russia. All Azerbaijanis were forced to leave and their historical heritages were destroyed and these buildings were build on them. Only Blue Mosque remains and they represent it as a Iranian mosque... The old churches are Albanian heritage and no connection to current Armenia
Ey Azerbaran xuli ti pizdish blyat shto ti tut delayish ,valis atsyuda karoche idi naxuy.
Susceptible tourists
What scam. Are you talking about
👋👋👋🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲
reading comments and seems like everyone forget $20 is for 2 bottles of juice :) I agree $10 is still not cheap, but pomegranate is not orange you know
Mate, you can get pomegranate juice from Yerevan City for, like, 650 dram / $1.67. Like yeah it wouldn't be freshly squeezed, but who would pay ten times the price for that?
the title of this video is kinda unbefitting of this content , you have shown 0 (Beware of this SCAM in Yerevan) , What scam ?...was it included or did you forget to add it ?... or was it the pomegranate juice thingy , if yes ? than my guy you are greatly mistaken , for you have went to by pomegranate which is already an expensive fruit in the small centre of Yerevan (which is the most popular place to visit) and expect it not to be expensive !!!!??? , was it expensive (YES) , was it a fair price (YES) , next time please choose your titles better and don't tarnish my countries with such titles just for the sake of click AKA (click baiting)

I didn't see anyone scamming you, why in the world do you mislead people with your headline? NOT right, if you're trying to get extra views.
What SCAM? Please stop using these words to attract people’s attention to watch your videos. The girl didn’t scam you. She misunderstood you and told you the total price you needed to pay instead of price per each. There was an obvious language barrier. On the other note, I did like your video and would have watched it even if it did not have the word ‘SCAM’ in it. So please stop sending wrong messages in the titles.
Why you say many words on Russian? please don’t do that, thnx is mersi , hi is Barev , or just say hi nor Piriviet ❤Welcome
Merci is French, Armenian is Shnorhagal em.
Don't be so provocative!!! It's kinda infantile approach by you. If you watch your video again, you'll notice the fixed price of pomegranate juice for 4000 drams. There was no scam at all !!!
why are you making an effort and speaking russian?😂 just put effort and speak armenian in armenia
😈SIYAFAESI👿👿💀☠💩
Pls burn all your history books Armenia:)))))Georgia never was part or Iran.old lady made huge mistake when she said Georgia was part of Iran:))))
of course it was part of Persia please go read real history and learn about Persian Empire that how massive empire was it you guys were part of Persia and then part of soviet now you are independent which still not completely the problem that you guys have its because of poor education system that you received during soviet union you didnt learn anything just do some research and see how many countries were part of Persian empire and for your info still in Tajikistan and Afghanistan they speak Persian and there are many Persian words in armenian so just use your little brain before you open your mouth
Это чача а не водка , водка 40% крепость а чача минимум 60%😅
