  • I love hand made socks. I love how warm they are on cold floors. Crocheted in a worsted weight yarn, these socks are so cozy! They are crocheted in the knit stitch giving them a great knit look. Adjust the length of the cuff to suit your personal taste.

    I followed this video mostly, but since i was crocheting the large size i had to improvise and guess at how many stitches i needed to go. It would be nice if the directions were a little more complete. Overall satisfied with the first sock. I used yarn that i didn't know what to do with, so next time if will be a little easier, and I'll keep track if how many stitches i need in between markers. I wish i could have seen the stitches you were working into a little better. Thank you.

    I love this video. It was beautifully put together & the pattern is wonderful for me as a crocheter. I do very little knitting as it takes longer to knit socks than crochet. Thank you for this video!

    Don't forget that you can try these on as you go. This way you can gauge your size... then you can start the decreasing about 1.5 to 2 inches before the end of the sock.

    Love this design. I've been looking for slippers made with front post back post double crochet, and this looks pretty close. Can't wait to try it out. btw, love the way you describe the stitch as "relaxed". haha

    Thank you for this pattern and tutorial! I love these socks. I've made knit socks and love them, but I'm not a great knitter. I was wondering if this pattern can be adapted to a sock weight yarn? These are GREAT slipper socks but not really an everyday sock.

      I’m glad you like them! I’m sure they would be adaptable, I just wouldn’t have the time to figure out the new stitch counts for you at this time :)

      google womens sizes vs men's sizes and go from there. Visit the pattern she provides in the description then interpret the pattern from there.

    I am impressed by the tutor’s creation from knit to crochet stitches. However for someone not so naive in crocheting this instruction albeit great for the intermediate is not so s helpful for someone like me , the knot stitches gets lost at turnaround rows as a result I missed if not stick the wrong one . I tried and tired I even got close to doing the toes but I did not like the irregularity outcomes and the lack of esthetics in my project so ended up redoing at least trice and spent wee hours trying to amend my mistakes but to no avail..

    What make of hook are you using

    • @RichTexturesCrochet
      @RichTexturesCrochet  6 років тому

      It is a hand carved hook that I picked up from a local maker at a fibre festival. It’s made with rosewood.

    why don't u just knit them.. would make it easier... the double knitted socks in the round..

    • @RichTexturesCrochet
      @RichTexturesCrochet  6 років тому +9

      Why knit when you can crochet ;) to be honest i never really enjoyed knitting as much as crochet. I have knit a few pairs of socks on four needles (from baby to adult) but found, for me, crochet to be much faster (these socks can be done in a few hours), and easier. I do love knot socks though, and appreciate those for who the talent comes naturally!

      Some of us prefer crochet to kniting
