It's about 85 yrs. ago we've been at war with France and now a german singer appears on
stage in Paris without a microphone and the audience sings along their song - french people
using a different language is something NEVER ever happens ! - even if they may don't know
what the lyrics are all about . . .

Just to update you on the legal stuff, all investigations into Till Lindemann have been dropped due to lack of evidence. Allegations were made but couldn't be/weren't backed up with evidence from the complainants. Led to a difficult time and significant professional consequences for both Till and Rammstein though.

Yea and i think its also important to mention that all of the accusers _refused_ to talk to the police. Its not like there just wasnt any evidence, the women who claimed those things didnt want to claim the same things under oath but they loved talking to the media. Thats more than suspicious if you ask me

Don't understimate Rammstein - they're concerts are massiv. They not only sell out Madison Square Garden - they do it in under 30 minutes.

yes, this song was released a couple of years ago.... 1997. video is from 2012. i saw them twice in the US. Atlanta and Boston. amazing how many fans here in the US can sing along to every song.

„Hasst“ means hate and „hast“ means have.
You need the context of the whole sentence only then it makes sense.
First he sings Du has(s)t
It means you hate.
Than you hate me.
Than you have ask me.
Du has(s)t always means You hate
Du has(s)t mich always means you hate me
And then he sings
Du hast mich gefragt
This means you have ask me a question
Like "through" and "threw". Completely different meanings but pronounced the same.

The lead singer Till Lindemann was a professional swimmer in his youth and was almost drafted into the East German olympics swim team. It still shows in his physique of a by now 60+ years old man.
The German language has many homophones, ie identical sounding words which become clear only in context.
The verb "to have" , "haben" has several declinations. Du hast equals you have. However the homophone "du hasst" equals "you hate". Only in the context of "du hast mich gefragt" = "you have asked me" is it clear that it doesn't mean "hate" but "have". Until then it could have been
"you"
"You have" or "you hate"
"You have me" or "you hate me"
In German you may add the final verb at the end of the sentence, in contrast to English where it has to be before the object of the sentence.

There is actually rarely moshing at Rammstein concerts cause there is so much going on, on the stageyou do not do not want to miss anything. Further, the area closest to the stage is fenced of from the rest. It is calle "Feuerzone" (fire zone and for good reasons), it costs extra and you interact a lot with the band, especially Paul that goofball, Till and Flake. If you look at "Feuer Frei" from Russia there is a Russian moshpit going on.
Ramstein is also the largest air force base in the USA. There was a serious accident at an air show in the eighties. Hence the name...

If you cant stand the heat stay out of the „Moshing Pit“.........
Those pyros are tame compared to feuer frei. You'll understand why they need the fire retardant jell once you'll see that one. Mosh pits aren't a thing with them but the likes of Slipknot??? Those are some really heavy mosh pits.
Ok, as a Metal-er I feel obligated to point out the following:
1st - there's NO such thing as a 'posh pit';
2nd - there's NO such thing as 'hard-core (porn DOESN'T count when it comes to music)/grindcore;
3rd - THOUSANDS of Parisian People chanting/singing in German while in Paris, a PERFECT example of how Heavy Metal is UNIVERSAL, regardless of the ORIGINAL language.
