Unfortunately the core burning overflow is only for campaign, its not gonna be on survival or pvp so at least this is more useful on the campaign so that you don't worry about organizing there.
@@SCHEMATIC still not much where i can use it but sure will if i can.but maybe phase conveyor is better since it doesnt have much animation amd dont take much space.also i didnt tried it but maybe you can like make 3 input and 3 output in phase conveyor?
these are just the kind of tutorials i needed for mindustry! easy to understand, very straigtfoward and explains everything a little, also you put the shematic(s) on the desc, thank you a lot dude!
its really not worth it tbh its better to just use bridge weaving or plast belts. highways are just normal titanium belt inputs to core but somehow they made it worse
oml this is so great! I'm very new to mindustry (just got it yesterday) and was wondering how to make a nice and big input for my core, this is just perfect!
I like this idea. Not just for the core itself, but also as an easy way to shove a bunch of belts into several launch pads by splitting the lanes at the end, each into their own launch pad.
the idea is cool until you get access launch pads, so you want to shoot the excess elsewhere , imade a vault that stop sending resource to core when it is full and let the excess fillpad behind it, allowing me to keep a surplus and excess goes where it is needed .
@@SCHEMATIC just stretch out the phase conveyor to its limit, then stack together until it is essentially a line. Copy it, then join it with the first half of the copied schematic. Ex. QWERTYUIOPASQWERTYUIOPAS.....
So this just allows you to slap all your outputs (to core) into the highway without worrying about it? I normally have a line of just copper and so forth heading to the core. This isn't any faster just need to think about it less?
i never understood the use of highways if you could just put every ressources into one conveyor belt and link it to the core directly it doesn't separate them but its less messy since one specific material goes into one lane
Use Containers (early game) or Vaults (late game) to make your core bigger. You build them touching the core and the capacity will go up. Then you can save it as a schematic and you can even launch with the containers attached for huge launch capacity.
This is very bad if you need to take resources from the highway along the way. I think it is better to transport resources separately or use plastanium conveyor.
Yeah that's a good point I wouldn't advise to make something this big anyway, maybe just a 4 lane. It's a good example how we can do something though. The more we know :)
@@omniscientcammaleon9477 From one lane. Not every efficient. You could also plug an unloader into the other end of the core and get the one resource you want.
this is more just a theory of something you can do, we all play different. I personally use it as when I expand everything going to core becomes spagetti, this is just a simple way to future spagetti and just lay down an input :)
@@SCHEMATIC all good. Iv been playing on mobile for a year and never even contemplated doing things more effectively till I saw one of your videos. Come to find out this game seems massively popular.
In the future when you expand you sometimes try and balance all the lines and it becomes crazy, this is just a lazy way to make sure you have like 5 lanes balanced or whatever
I will not use it because it takes more space than 4 lines of plastanium conveyors. At least you dont use router/conveyor combination because it will slow down the speed of the items.

like this so more people can see, I should of explained that!
@@SCHEMATIC pin the comment then
you can turn on or off the burning overflow now
even in survival
There is a setting in the customize rules to turn Overflow incernation on.
Every time you mix resources on a conveyor you trade in a piece of your soul.
Lol it is true
Which is why I use bridge belts.
4.5X more effective with a quarter of space used.
You trade in two pieces when you gatekeep a video game. Good lord.
@@fattytan1377but they mix
Wait til he discovers plastanium conveyors.
the problem is that often there is no space for such constructions.*sigh*
Yeah I know annoying but you could make 4 lane highways. Then you could make a couple of these heading in different directions

If you know what you're doing you can make this work.
Just make your conveyors look like a chaos

Aw thanks, this is the sort of encouragement I need to keep making more! Thank you too!
Ok so this is actually useful, never thought of that, thanks
Happy to help
My v5 eyes are currently bleeding but it looks so efficient at the same time i really dont know what to think of this. Thanks!
its really not worth it tbh its better to just use bridge weaving or plast belts. highways are just normal titanium belt inputs to core but somehow they made it worse
I've been using this highways on my campaign, really useful. No more spaghetti conveyers
Yeah if you want to play slower and have everything nice and neat it's a fun way to do it!
oml this is so great!
I'm very new to mindustry (just got it yesterday) and was wondering how to make a nice and big input for my core, this is just perfect!
Pro: looks really cool and clean
Con: not easy to make Factories with recourses within the Highway
It's good for an export hub. Load everything in from one side, and set unloaders on the other side to go to launch pads.
I like this idea. Not just for the core itself, but also as an easy way to shove a bunch of belts into several launch pads by splitting the lanes at the end, each into their own launch pad.
This only works when you are playing on campaign
on multiplayer servers, this will block resource line

noice
Even tho i sometimes mix 2inputs if both of them can't take 100%of the line..seeing that many resources in 1 belt gives me emotional damage
Such a useful tutorial! I'm eager to try it on my next sector =) Thanks!
After a long time trying this out! It’s best to use this with like a 4 lane system. Then you can make like 2 or 3 highways in different directions!
I did this technique too early in v.5
And now I'm returning back to it lol
Nothing beats the hyperstacked phase conveyors (at least 250 item/sec if done right)
Yooo whaaat! Where can I find out about this?

Glad it helped!
My ocd strikes after painfully watching different kinds of material in each conveyor
Ha yeah same. It’s nice it doesn’t get blocked up now because of V6
Yes, kinda smort actually
yeah in factorio they say main bus
but in factorio we say highway cause we mixed it

Yea exactly
If you need to think about it less then it's faster. Unless you don't value your brain.
@@B3Band I was just asking about if it transfered things faster. I value simplicity and this was very convenient while I still played Mindustry

It is only good for like first 4 maps of campaign. Everywhere else - you freaking bridges or catapults: faster and cleaner.
Overflow autoburn is just an option. And even in campaign it being turned on is actually bad.
can't we just put a series of overflow gates across the highway?
Plastanium conveyor is must easier if you have access to it.
The cores do block up, but not on campaign
Can i use reversed ordenators or routers to make the core bigger?
Use Containers (early game) or Vaults (late game) to make your core bigger. You build them touching the core and the capacity will go up. Then you can save it as a schematic and you can even launch with the containers attached for huge launch capacity.
1 problem with this decide is if u ful with some material such as copper, than the hole machine will stop.
You can't fill the core in campaign, you can keep sending resources in
@@SCHEMATIC that's true! Nvm
