for real, the quality of your videos are high, clear voice, easy to understand, and even give out the blueprints after showing how to use them. Definitely earned a sub from me!
A few important things as well: sort inputs, any mixed conveyors should go directly to the core or a vault (and do not for any reason even try to split them. If they're getting jammed, fix the problem by putting less in and taking more out. Do not try to split mixed input plastinium conveyors under any circumstances), unloaders let you extract from plastinium conveyors without splitting them, which makes them great for large factories where you just kind of want to produce absolutely everything.
@@SCHEMATIC Oh some features do really go deep, right? We're all grateful for having someone this dedicated to understanding the game. It sure makes the whole mindustry experience better!
Holy shit, just from reading the item description I thought that these belts were OP, but I never got my head wrapped around how they work. Great video
Also make sure your inputs are the same resource. If a belt cannot fill up to ten it will stop and wait til it can, so if you have some extra titanium from a plast belt or something it will stop working. I like using sorters on any belts which have multiple products.
Hi Schematic, IMO there's one caveat with some of these designs though, is that they mostly works with a single item type plastanium conveyer belt ( I like to call it homogenous ), with plasta belt that deliver items from many different types ( heterogeneous ), these can often fail.
I used to use many mass drivers to move items in plast belts over obstacles but still got low throughput. Now I dont need to. Thanks for enlightening me on how to use plast belt bridges!
The forking technique could also help to put things inside when you make a sharp turn and just go straight to somewhere else(example if u make the plastanium belt to turn right annd straight to fill an alloy smelter, it won't make any connection, however if you just let it go straight(not turning in to the smelter direction), it will registered th esmelter as a dropp-off point
That's actually nice vids you got there, you gained a subscriber ! Now I'd like to see you experiment with logic processors :p They are actually not that difficult to understand (if you have a bit of computer science skills) but they have some particularities to them that are not obvious.
I ran into an issue where the split off didn't work as I expected. A plastanium conveyor loads slow. I guess that's why you needed another belt at the bridge to make it work. So the split off only works when there is full throughput (you need to consume every lane so it doesn't fill up). Else you need to figure a way to feed the plastanium belts from two sides.
To my surprise, this actually has extremely useful tips that I should know but didn't. Screw the really big router, I didn't know I can just dump plastanium packets directly into my core!
When I go on servers I often see people just replacing old titanium conveyors, which go through multiple junctions sorters and all, and not checking if it even flows correctly
I'm new to this game like less than a month and still learning new stuff from the game by just playing but man, this video was like cheating, just unlocked more cells in my brain tree 😀 thanks
This was incredibly helpful, thanks. Buuuuut - putting a fork in a conveyor when it's carrying different items seems to jam frequently. It seems to try to split each packet into half each side, so if the first packet is copper and the second is lead, you get half a packet of copper on each side, the next packet is lead not copper and now it's jammed. Any smart ideas without just feeding the whole thing into a vault and back out again?
Oooh - just accidentally discovered that unloaders can unload from plastanium conveyors just by putting them at the side. No vault needed! They're not very fast though - looks like they unload 3 items at a time so you need 4 unloaders in a row to completely "drain" a single packet of 10.
Are you adding any new content? Could you do a short video on bridge conveyors, which I find very confusing? Of particular interest is what squares a bridge will take input from and what squares it will send output to. Does this change based on whether the bridge is sending, receiving, or disconnected? Can a bridge conveyor ever act as a junction, that is accept inputs from 2 squares and send output to two squares?
@@SCHEMATIC btw can you please tell why people using mining drones?and which one better to use?like if there is 8-10 of them its better then top boosted drill?
using router is not recommended since it will be stuck easily just directly connect them or place sorter also distributer reduces speed. dont place them on plastanium conveyor
Not to say your video is bad, but a lot of this is inaccurate or worse than optimal. You can use a single overflow gate at the start of your plast conveyor to have a full efficiency titanium conveyor feeding onto it. The multi item design can also become jammed in certain circumstances
Thanks for the tips. One problem with the simple fork though, if one branch becomes full and backs up, the other will remain at 50% throughput, backing up the input. Got any solutions for this that don't become a sprawling mess of forks and merges?
Is there a good way to sort items off a combined line? Been playing around with it but it seems like the fork will split the packets so 5 goes each direction which will jam up if you have more than 2 different item types on it.
The routers don't help. The initial output of 11/s only gets split into 5,5s each, and re-added. It's till only 11/40 items throughput. Those tips are kinda garbage
Inverted sorters can also be used as plastanium conveyor junctions
Yep just found this out! good tip! thumbing this up so people can see
Well you don't get 100% throughput...
bad idea. immediately cuts throughput in half. an acceptable plast junction would be 4 bridges crossing over another plast belt
@@beaneater6923 It was most common junction method

"forking the forks" basically making plastanium conveyor fractals

Unloaders allow to make tileable factories with crazy throughput.
Woah, plastanium conveyors are my favourite block in 6.0 and I thought I was using them well, but you made me think otherwise. Great video

Use bridge conveyors for maximum throughput because they can store up to 20 items
