Super-Duper great video. I never knew how the cabbage became sauerkraut......Matter of fact, in my 81 years, I have never had any!! It sounds great.
Love seeing you all work as a team.............Bev in Maine (yes, we have snow on the ground......gonna get 3-5" more starting a little later.)

It never gets old watching your video’s, Andrew. With the farm you never get done! So much to take care of. I wonder how your dad did it before you boys got old enough to help? Anyway, it nice to see what is going on at the farm! Hope you get the deer that is eating your crops! They must be good eating after dining on your corn!😊Happy hunting!😊

Wish you had truckloads and truckloads of sawdust from the trees blown down here in Georgia when Helene came through. I’m sure it probably would not be cost effective, but the bazillion of tons of sawdust or shavings from grinding all the fallen trees is unbelievable!!!

It was so wonderful to see you gave the chickens some of the left overs from the cabbage. Chickens really do good giving when they have greens. When I raised chickens they were free range and enjoyed all the greens they liked and the yolk of the eggs were golden and so yummy.

The baby chickens are so cute. Sauerkraut is delicious. Goes great with pork & chicken. Plus the juice from sauerkraut is very nutritious.

Need to put asphalt profile in your traffic areas, it will never be muddy ever again. it is cheap to do. you won't know yourself having no mud. your machinery will also last longer.

We have a limerick road that was a mess after every rain. The county put down asphalt milling from old roads they tore up. I like it, not as messy, but there's some serious chemicals in that stuff.

It’s better than dirt but doesn’t stay in place as well as asphalt. But might be ok on the flat. We live on a hillside and the road surfaces are pretty fussy.

I have 30 yrs experience laying electrical wire in duct. Always good to seal the duct to keep moisture out even it’s ‘direct bury’ cable. Also a good idea no rocks directly on top of or below if possible. This was a Super video! Always like to see the “every day” goings on. 👍👍👍👍👍

That PVC looked like white PVC used to water lines, lol. PVC conduit is gray. My husband is master electrician with 55 years of experience. I would have forgone the rocks too. Not a good idea at all but it’s their farm and their rules. And I’m sure not their first or last quick fix. Hopefully once the season is over they’ll take care to make the repair much more stable.

I enjoy Sauerkraut but have never made it. My late Mother grew up as a small girl on two adjoining Western PA (Crawford County) farms in the Nineteen-teens and early Nineteen-twenties. Guess her German immigrant American Great Grandfather was a big influence on the family's food choices and that is why I had Sauerkraut sometimes as a girl growing up in Los Angeles.

Nothing better than a kettle of deer vegetable soup made from cooking the bones off. Good luck.
During hunting season Dad carried his shotgun for his 2 rabbits and 2 pheasants per day limit on the back of the mule drawn wagon hand picking corn. He skinned, butchered the game. Mom soaked them in a salt water night bath in the refrigerator. Lunch or supper for the them, brother Dave and me. Occasionally an uncle or family friend from the city would hunt. All from 42 acres in the '40s, we didn't see it as crop damage but a product of the land.

a terrible job on running conduit. First off you need to connect the piling with glue and have a 90* angle at both ends sticking at least 18n inches out of the ground. If you don't do this, the piping will fill with water / rock. etc, then freeze and you are back to before square #1
