    I've always thought that the elusive brown note was merely the stuff of legend, until today. You hit it at :50 and I pooped my pants.

    What is the string gauge if you don't mind sharing? Sounds awesome and heavy af. I've put .90 on mine tuned down to D1. It sits well and doesn't flop around but it's very woofy sounding and I wonder if it's just the way I'm dialing it in or if I need a thinner string with less bass frequencies that get in the way.

      Thank you, I had a set of .80 on here but they were far too loose in C so I actually tuned to D and then pitched it down with the Neural transpose function. I know exactly what you mean with the tone getting woofy with thicker strings, that's why lately I've been preferring lighter gauges but pitching it down, that seems to help preserve the aggression in the tone and makes it easier to avoid that excessive low end
