I used a team of Eagle, Haohmaru, and Sakura to the point of memorizing their endings. Tried mixing in others when I could, but those three were my main squad.

I always used Ken, Yuri, and Haomaru but never memorized their endings, Haomaru was a beast in this game

Shin Akuma's ending ironically fits what happened with Ultimate Rugal. It says that Shin Akuma is a "martial arts god" who disappears into the fire but will eventually return. However in Ultimate Rugal's ending, Ultimate Rugal disappeared into the fire after the Sataui No Hado rejected him.
