This is so satisfying to do, and to watch. I've been to this location many times but this is the first visit in 2023 and it really needed some attention. The big rain and wind storms we've had this spring blew a lot of debris into this pond and it clogged up the drain pretty good.
It was great to throw on the waders and get back to nature. I really love it! I hope you enjoy it as well. Your Thumb's Up and Subscribe means a lot!

I could not do that. I know its an irrational fear, but id be afraid of being sucked into that drain. I know its secure with the, bars amd all but.....shutters...
It really isn't fast moving. I don't feel the pull from the water at all when I'm in there. Now if the lake was 3 ft. higher and THEN you unclogged it, that would be a little more tricky, but this is easy-peazy!
What is up with the piece of galvanized sheet metal stuffed in the middle of the drain?
Yeah not sure what that's about.
If you have limbs float to the drain, they can’t clog up the drain by reaching both sides and piling up debris. The theory as I was told, limb hits metal and eventually drops down from the force of water. Don’t know if it’s true, but it sounded logical when explained and demonstrated to me.
