    Killing the boat captain was definitely a bad thing. No debate about it. I think its just a somewhat common misconception among some fans that everything he did was bad and he did those bad things for no reason. Thats why you hear things like "if young kratos was here then he woulda did this..." kind of arguments. While some of it is true, other things are not. He had reason for many of the things he did, but he just didn't let anything get in his way. Unfortunately that seems to also mean not saving people he doesn't need to save at the risk of distracting him from his mission. If he doesn't have a reason, which usually means either attacking him or his loved ones or I guess being under some oath, then he isn't likely to do anything. Touching back on some of the things I mentioned in the last part about Kratos being neither good nor evil, and this Valhalla trip being about acceptance and moving on, I think you guys are starting to see a little bit of what I mean towards the end of the video. Kratos always understood what he was and the things that he did. Its just like Thor. He accepted that he was a monster. What he didn't accept though was all the good things he did in his past, and in order to move forward, he has to realize that or else he'll always be stuck in his pain and self hatred.

      Like what was brought up near the end with Kratos selling is soul to Ares and saving Sparta and his people. There were many reasons but as old Kratos looks back he realizes he's blind to his own choices. Claiming he was greedy for power was his only reason instead of pulling up what happened if he didn't.

      Agreed that Kratos is neither saint good nor sinner evil. I hope these guys can understand that. Everyone mistakes Kratos as a 1d character and the Greek God of war games to be "areeeeessss" or "zeeeuuuuuuuuussss" only, like there was a whole lot of things happening and leading to the events in game.
      But I can say 1 thing that the boat captain deserved to die because he was transporting slaves.

      Is it though? He’s depicted in the murals and his temple with the shield and spear. It doesn’t have a Greek symbol on it. It appears to be a rune. And spears aren’t exactly uncommon in this part of the world. While similar to a Greek dory, it’s missing the unique traits like the spearhead. It’s far too different to be of Greek origin.

    To me, it was the actions of the Gods of Olympus (mainly Ares) that turned man evil or against each other. Kratos was a victim (turned Anti-hero) to the plight of the Gods actions.
    And Tasha said the best point that not many of us would think about…. at first! Kratos is a Spartan and THEY were his family, not the Olympians or Grecian, but Spartans! If he HAS protected anybody, it was his brothers at arms….. his army! He even sacrificed his Godly Power in the second game when the statue was controlled to defeat him and his army. At the same time, Zeus coaxed Kratos into using the Blade of Olympus knowing it would slowly sap him of his powers and make him easier to defeat in his fixated trap.
    It’s funny that this trial had to remind him that his actions also gave an equal, yet opposite reaction (the same with Pandora’s Box). He killed all of Greece, but saved the world from the tyranny of Olympus. As the old Utilitarian saying goes, “Sacrifice the few for the need of the many.” He only needed that to understand that there was a bigger picture in play than what he originally believed.

    1:30 Mimir: I'm truly not sure if we've gone too far, or if we've come too far to stop.
    Me: It's a little bit of both mimir.
    What Kratos said at 5:05 was so funny but I would say it too Helios: Hello, me again. Me: Shut up and only say what you see in battle. Got it?!
    You want to know something funny when I saw first saw old enemies from the older God of War games I instinctively just to using the Blades for no reason "Screw the Axe and Spear, use only the Blades of Chaos" at 7:24 I'm glad they showed how "Older" Kratos would deal with a Cyclops in comparison to "Younger" Kratos would especially with the Finishers.
    10:20 Kratos vs actual Týr Round 1
    First off, I was not expecting to actually fight Týr but I've always been curious on how strong Týr was, and I found out real quick and almost lost to him because I was trying to figure out on how he moves. Helios is really trying to piss Kratos off.
    When Helios said that at 16:57 I was like "You think you're funny helios because you're not." I literally had PTSD when I heard a Siren singing because they were so hard to find you could their voices but you find them.
    It's fun to run the gauntlet of enemies because it allows me to try new stuff that I never tried before some people don't like it but I like it.
    23:54 Kratos vs Týr Round 2
    Týr really did kept things interesting with different weapons. The first weapon was a Spartan Shield and Spear, and now this looks like an Aztec or Mayan weapon and with the healing thing it was very interesting. Týr made be a retired God of War but he still got it. And you know I truly like that Týr wasn't just looking at the negatives of what happened after Kratos made his pledge to Ares but also looking at the positives and Mimir had the question and Kratos had the answer to it at 25:48.
    What I think about all of this: THIS IS THERAPY!

    Tyr and Thor are among the gods that have the same physical strength as the strongest beings in Greece, Thor more so than Tyr. In Kratos journal he admits that Tyr is one of the most formidable opponents he’s ever faced, Thor is stronger but Tyr is the more skilled fighter.
    Also there is dialogue about how Tyr is allowed into Valhalla. Don’t know if the videos you are watching will show it but it’s a technicality, he lost his arm to the wolf Garm. But he regrew the arm Valhalla counts it as death, so yeah technicality.

    i knew it, helios said exactly what the guides and beings taught me in what i knew as the spiritual realm, the truth of concepts like love and courage and strength and sacrifice, i understood sacrifice the same way, the world see everything wrong, real sacrifice is real sacrifice, it means you lose, it means you dont gain anything for it, finally they put this concept in a video game for ignorant people to understand what i have known since i was 2 years old. psychiatrists call it schizophrenia, but im amazed at how blind and ignorant and inexperienced psychiatrists actually are. they really dont understand anything. id really love it if they did. i wouldnt have to suffer so much if they were right or accurate about any of their judgement

    honestly as a good man, a man who has more love than anyone else, i know with absolute certainty because i have done it already in the past for all of you and none of you would ever even realize it, but i would have sacrificed my self, for everyone. because i have. in my real life journey. i would put my self in the cage and i know that for certain, ive already sacrificed my both my physical body and my afterlife for all of you, because i became sick with delusion and hallucination as a schizophrenic. ive faced realities no one here possibly could. i havent seen this episode yet im writing this at 6:42 . right now, my instincts are telling me kratos will sacrifice him self, because these video game experiences you all watch, has been my reality my whole life. none of you could possibly comprehend this.

  • @zachariahreddragon9202
    @zachariahreddragon9202 7 місяців тому

    yeah actually its the opposite, the trials are about him facing his evil and darkness, not his light, look, the simple facts are, if a bloodthirsty psychotic maniac came into your city, and started shooting everyone, ends everyone you love and care about in front of you, do i need to say more to help you understand? the psycho shooter is in fact kratos, ok? tell all the innocent children women and loving good hearted peaceful men that kratos slaughtered with no thought or remorse, that hes not such a monster. see you dont realize that. by that logic, school shooters, psychopaths, real murderers arent such a monster as we may think. because we get to intimately walk in kratos life, but you know nothing of a real murderers life and journey, it really is no different, maybe the real killers that you would see as a monster, is actually more like kratos than you could ever realize. maybe you just havent seen or walked with a real killer to see why and how he became the way he was and did what he did. if you were just one of his victims or a family member of his victims, all that you would know of kratos is that he is a monster. that is undeniable reality.

    its like im watching one of the sacrifices i made for humanity when i was 14 years old. nice exactly how it turned out too, when i was in a gate of hell, i made this same choice in my trials, then i was sent to the next gate of heaven, and my hearts light was acknowledged by the spiritual beings in the realm. the trials of valhalla remind me very much and deeply of my own trials i faced in the spiritual realm. my so called hallucinations and delusions of schizophrenia in my youth.

  • @zachariahreddragon9202
    @zachariahreddragon9202 7 місяців тому

    like honestly everyone in real life is like, you abuse an animal? you monster. i hate you you deserve so much pain and hate, kratos murders innocent children and countless families of loving good hearted peaceful women and men, everyone like kratos not that bad. see this is really whats wrong with humanity. right there. everyones cant see past their delusion, the truth doesnt matter to anyone, everyone in real life just creates their own reality, only see what they want to despite the obvious undeniable objective facts. this is why the world is the way it is. you all need to just accept it for what it is and stop struggling to shape reality into something that works for you. if you can forgive kratos and even love him, then truly you can forgive any monster, and love them too. if you can convince your self kratos is not a monster, by ignoring his real darkness, then you can do it for any other human being in real life. but you are all too egotistical and judgmental to admit that.
