Edward Lodewijk Van Halen was a Dutch-American guitarist, known as co-founder and guitarist of the hard rock band Van Halen. He was not only an innovator in rock music, but also technically, including guitar design, guitar reinforcement and guitar effects.

My favourite Dutch artist of all time is Floor Jansen. She has a musical career since 1997 and is considered by many as the best and most versitale female singer of our time. Currently she is member of the Symphonic Metal band 'Nightwish' from Finland. The common 'introduction' to this band is the song 'Ghost Love Score' from Wacken 2013. The feeling you get when she is hitting that last note is called a 'Floorgasm', so be prepared for that. Since 1997 she was in the metal bands 'After forever' and 'Revamp' before joining 'Nightwish' october 1st 2012 on very short notice (she had 48 hours to learn the whole setlist). She performed in several side projects and featured in many other bands as guest. Since a couple of years she persued a solo career also besides 'Nightwish'. Go visit her UA-cam channel and unpack some of the many presents she left there.

When my daughter was 4 years old, the drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk came to my daughters school to give a drum session. At the end he asked the kids: "Who of you boys wants the be a drummer like me?" On which my daughter said: "No, I want to be a drummer just like Phil Collins!"

Tash, I love this band called nightwish, the band originate from Finland, but Floor Jansen is the lead singer is Dutch, married to Hannes, he is the drummer from Sabaton, a swedish band, he is now married to Floor and they live in Sweden with 2 children...

I grew up with the Goldon Earing, the former drummer was my neighbour. I am born and lived in the Hague, Netherlands. the city where they come from. I have seen them a few times
Radar Love did not get released here in Canada until the spring of 1974, when I was 19. It quickly became the anthem of that summer. I ran out and bought the Moontan album, and for my money, side 1 is one of the best rock LP sides I have ever heard. Radar Love, Candy's Going Bad and Vanilla Queen. A time stamp on some of the best years of my life.

Hi...thanks for your response video, unfortunately you didn't play it all the way, after the drum solo the song continued. I am a young woman and grew up with Golden Earring thanks to my father who was a big fan (he is no longer alive). Golden Earring has a treasure chest full of music, do yourself a favor and delve into it. Unfortunately, the Golden Earring stopped due to the illness (ALS muscle disease) of singer/guitarist/founder George Kooymans. Great to see someone on the other side of the world appreciating Golden Earring!❤❤
The greatest Dutch band of all times. I've known them since I was a little girl. Unfortunately they had to stop performing a couple of years ago due to ALS of one of the guitar players, George Kooymans (the one with the white hair).

They were the support act for The Who.
Best concert i've ever seen.
Later in the 90s i was at an acoustic performance from Golden Earring, in my home town,Den Bosch (Duke Town)😉
Even acoustic they rocked the room.

Radar Love is an underrated song.... Homer requested it on KBBL in S13 of The Simpsons.
I've traveled around Australia, ready 34 years ago. To my pleasant surprise I found Radar Love on jukeboxes in pubs in almost every outback village. Turned out the song still was very popular. Most popular song (especially in the biker community) was Born to be wild by Steppenwolf. I had a wonderful time down under. 😎✌️
They played for more than 50 years. Unfortunately they had to stop recentely because guitarplayer George Kooymans has ALS. I worked a couple of times for them as a technician. And! They are from my hometown of the Hague.
Funfact.. Angus Young lives for 2 decades in a small farm town in the Netherlands. Just google the place name Aalten and Angus Young

I have the AC-DC Tribute band. From the Netherlands/Belgium. Already seen 14 times. And February 17th again. Just like Slashs N Roses and Metallica Tribute band. I also saw Metallica live twice. Once in Utrecht 1997 and in Landgraaf, at Pinkpop 2014. Greetings from Spakenburg, the Netherlands.

ACDC is briljant. Hello Aussie, the most epic song is from Focus, called Hocus Pocus, a progrock band in 1973. At a show in the US, presented bij Gladys Knight. A 8 min. song had to be cut in 4 min.. They said, "no, we will play that song twice as fast". That song is absolutely crazy. We also have a power girl in Anouk. Live she is great. You will like her. Thak you for thhis post.
