Kenny is 100% right when it comes to yearly triple A games. They're churned out every year with very little to no improvements. Single player games are really fucking good rn.
They’ve always been good, it’s just more obvious because the yearly releases have been abysmal
You also have to take into account that lively has missed a lot of the games that kyrie and Luka have actually played together as well. This team is really just starting to scratch the surface of their potential with the new acquisitions plus Luka and kyrie really starting to play well together. We still haven’t seen this team at full health. Maxi and lively can’t seem to be healthy at the same time and Exum is still out. I think this team ends a top 5 seed easily
The way the Mavericks were playing at the start of the season I was willing to bet on them to make the wcf. I still think there's a valid shot of them getting there. They upped their depth by a ton, the full team is finally now starting to get healthy, I think these boys have a real chance
I can easily see New York and Philly falling into the play in because of injuries. They only have a two game cushion with a super tough schedule
Easily seeing new York fall is outrageous, they are dealing with injuries right now, and are still playing real good basketball, this is a steaming hot take my brother.

i might be a biased houston fan, but the first 27 games of our season we were playing phenomenal defence and a mediocre offence, then half of our rotation got hurt and they're almost all coming back now. that combined w the growth that's come from guys like amen, cam, jalen being a post all-star break STAR historically, i think we could make a real push for play-in!

what sucks about the game industry is the people who make decisions don’t actually play games so they can’t relate to how they make us feel. they don’t understand maybe another yr or two of development can pay off way more than a rushed product. they use numbers and quotas to dictate deadlines when all it needs to be is when the game is ready.

Cool to see the Baldur's Gate 3 shoutout, I haven't played it yet but it's clearly an incredible game. There really are some amazing games coming out these days, and for every cash grab there's a passion project that will blow your mind. Helldiver's 2 has no pvp and doesn't seem like it'll ever add any, but that game is so fun and addicting that the main issue is server capacity with how many people want to play. I hope sports video games get a complete shakeup at some point but it seems unlikely anytime soon
For the life of me i will never ever understand people who whine about video games then you figure out they only play 2K, FIFA, Madden, and Fortnite. Its like complaining that the NBA sucks when you only watch the All Star Game and a couple Wizards games every season.
Meanwhile you could spend $70 on Baldurs Gate 3 and get 200 hours of some of the funnest and most engaging RPG storytelling of the generation.

The guy on video games is a casual. If all you play is COD, GTA and sports games, you'll think gaming is bad. 2023 was one of the best years for gaming on record. So many single-player AAA games were fantastic, and we're getting even more this year! Please discover new games! The AAA games that are filled microtransactions dominate most of the market because they're what casuals latch onto. Please, I'm begging people to try new games the same way you'd try new movies and TV shows.
Also I'm so happy Kenny has a rational take on it as a gamer and as someone who works in the industry. It's really refreshing to see someone who mainly does sports content that doesn't have a casual take on it.
With the spurs i only watch first 6 of the 1st and 3rd quarter and last 6 of the 2nd and 4th cuz thats when wemby plays

What’s the most ignored “possible super team” of all time?
Because I’ll say now that the lebron, Wade, rondo/butler teams are easily some of the most underachieving/under-appreciated teams of all time. Ain’t no way a 1 seed should even question the possibility of losing to an 8 seed pre play in tourney.
Honestly Doc is in a similar position to Xavi coaching Barcelona. Not so much regarding the situation in which they received the teams, but more so in regards to how both teams (Bucks & Barcelona) have very high expectations while not giving their coach both the freedom to provide their own ideologies (in the Bucks case this is evident through the players wanting to do what they have been doing for years defensively), and further the players themselves haven't been performing at an adequate level. I don't think this is in any way in relation to ego or anything ridiculous like that, but rather poor circumstances, and general lack of effort + lack of performance. So tbh I'm not really blaming Doc that much, his whole coaching career has been plagued with bad luck and unfortunate circumstances which is why I think the reaction the fans have towards him have largely been unfair.
