I couldn’t really find pictures of Steve playing a rickenbacker or a thunderbird. I did however found a picture of him holding a Yamaha BB1100 for a magazine. You probably already found this one but I thought I might share it.
I assume that they were used for rehearsals or just for personal use, and there might not be any pictures of them.

An Epiphone Thunderbird was my very first bass.
Couldn’t play the thing back when I got it at 10 years old, still can’t reach the G string tuner now, as a fully grown adult!
Lesson learned, just get a Jazz Bass!

First off I appreciate this video. Always was super interested in Steve Harris and his BASS journey. When I listen to his basslines, he reminds me of classical guitarist. His uber busy basslines in particular (which I'm aware most all of his basslines are essentially lead basslines which) that with his signature Precision Bass, SPB-4 pickups and ultra heavy (low tension) flatwounds makes Steve Harris standout amongst every Heavy Metal and even Rock Bassist. He's actually part of the reason I play a p bass with flats exclusively. There's no way any bassist can't respect Steve Harris, whether it's your style or not.
Glad you enjoyed the video Dan. Well said, Steve approaches metal with an absolutely unique methodology and makes him one of the best bassists in the biz.

@@WhichBass I think my main criticism with your videos on Geezer's rig is that it felt incomplete as it mainly focused on the classic era and the post reunion/13 era and not what was in between which some of it was addressed in part 3. It would be great to get a clearer, more comprehensive picture on Geezer's rig during the early 80s, GZR, 90s reunion and Heaven & Hell eras. I would imagine Deadland Ritual would probably be unchanged.
There were some basses Geezer used aside from Lakland and Vigier like a Yamaha (I think this was before and during Lakland, not sure) and he's used a 5 string bass. I'm sure there's more info out there but this is what I know.

That wasn't a Telecaster bass, it was a Precision.
It may be worth having a look a Gimages, they are defo called Shaftesbury Telecasters 😉

They knew Fender would sue if they used 'that' name.
