      Yes Sir Malcolm. Glad I could help a little. Be sure to watch tomorrow’s video. Fishing the way I will demonstrate in the video makes a lot of difference in the amount and quality of fish I get. Hope it helps.

    Jimmy glad to see you are up and around. Interesting video. I like many more on here happen to have a couple of tiller steer trolling motors laying around and this looks like a worthy project. Thanks for making this video! I know it has to be tuff after the surgery.

      Hey bud. Glad to hear from you. I t has been tuff. I just got through with the exercises and so discouraging. Things I was doing a few weeks ago is a struggle to even think about it now.
      I hope this will help you. Take the bolt out of the tiller head to shaft and turn it 180 now the handle will be to the inside of the boat.

    Sir you have convinced me as well. I hope you get well soon. I am already making plans in my head for a crappie brake. Thank you for your videos and I appreciate your time and advice. God bless you and prayers for a quick recovery Sir. Like I said, you got me to thinking. I’m like you Sir, I have came up with several DIY things for fishing. So what power setting are you leaving leaving the rear trolling motor on ? You didn’t mention that Sir. I have a 2000 yr model Tracker 175 Crappie Pro. Thank you Sir.

      Hey Fuzzy. Glad I can help a little. Thank you very much for your prayers. That’s a Great thing when someone lifts your name up to the Lord Jesus.
      As for the settings I just leave it on 4 That’s all the power I need for my tracker but full speed want hurt a thing. It’s so far from the fish it doesn’t bother them at all.
      Thanks for your kind comment

    Thanks for taking the time to make this video great idea to stop overrunning the fish. However, you must never use your aluminium boat as a ground for wiring as it can cause electrolysis in the aluminium of your boat.

    Great stuff as always, How do you aim the back trolling motor? Do you always have it aiming towards the back, if so what keeps it from spinning around? Thanks

    • @601Crappie
      @601Crappie  2 місяці тому +1

      Good morning P.G. I took the screw out of the top head and spun it around 180*then put the screw back in. Now the handle is inside the boat. The lock screw on the bracket keeps it from turning and the lock collar sets your depth. After you set it like you want it you don’t have fool with any of that again. You press the button and fold it in. And yes it’s always aimed towards the rear so it will back your boat up The front trolling motor is for forward motion.

    What gauge wire did you run up to your pedal

    • @601Crappie
      @601Crappie  2 місяці тому +1

      I ran 12 gauge. It really don’t have to be big wire because you’re only bumping it at times. You’re not standing on it backing up a 100 yards. But bigger wire certainly want hurt anything. Just make sure you put a fuse or circuit breaker on the positive pole. Thanks for watching and commenting. If you haven’t already please subscribe.
