They start abusing the new supply (back-up) immediately, because they chose the back-up person as a substitute, pain reliever and as a rebound in the first place, knowingly using them, which is abusive. They didn’t even want that other person. It was all to prove something to themselves, stroke their ego and get back at you, because you refused to continue being manipulated and abused. They’ll be on good behavior for about as long as a typical 90 day probationary period is on a job…if that. There are exceptions, as Telsha said, because everyone is different, but rest assured the upgraded dysfunction and abuse will kick in. 💞

Incredible description of my exact scenario... I was NC for about 4 months and she reached out wanting peace.. we spoke and then she told me she had moved on with someone else, someone who had contacted her via Social Media whilst we were still talking.. He was "harmless" back then and she wasn't interested, but lo and behold, they're together now.. incredible.. anyways.. she admitted that she did it as a FU to me because I had had enough of her behaviours and told her I wasn't; going to speak to her anymore and she assumed I had moved on because new people had followed me on SM (even though I had blocked her she found a way around it and prides herself in finding her way around being blocked to see my social media interactions - btw, I hadnt' moved on)... the fact she admitted to rebounding to him to get back at me but then it turned to something more serious really did hurt I won't lie.. but I already know it will flop. She seems uncertain about him whilst he is obsessed with her (the usual soulmate chat and never met anyone like her etc etc) and it is a messy situation for her she admitted as he is 10 years younger than her with no kids whilst she is divorced with 3 kids and his parents don't approve...lol.. but she still wants to see how it goes.. its absolutely to get back at me, the callousness of their attitudes knows no bounds... sorry for the long message.. speaking to her again and hearing this news really messed me up when I was doing fine in no contact. :(
But she is the same person, he will find out the real her in time and I will not be around for any hoovering.

I discarded him a year ago. He hoovered a few times and I rejected each one. He finally moved on to a new supply and I suspect around 3 months of them dealing with each other they had a breakup and he tried to hoover again but of course I rejected. He was forced to makeup with her because I didn't want him. Well a mutual told me that he moved her and her teenage son in his house. I wish them all well. Better her than me.

This is so true! Ex narc and "new supply" were all smiles and together constantly for about the first 6 months. Harassed me at work, continually called my house, tried to catch me out socially to flaunt themselves. Now, new supply occasionally shows up at my work - ALONE! She's dyed her hair to my color. Has her son and other family members spy on me too. Just plain sad and disturbing!!! Guess you didn't win the "lotto" with that crusty old fool, did ya girl!!! 🤣

@Cali001 I'm having a hard time accepting she's that stupid to actually try and come back, especially after I told her to leave me alone. That and she's afraid of me, she has hoovered but I ignored her. She's blocked. Unfortunately the only way she can see me is either at my house or the gym but I think she's to much of a coward to actually approach me. And I hope she doesn't use her new supply because dude is also afraid of me. Unfortunately she brought out the worse out of me and new supply saw how violent I can be. I'm healing, using the gym as my outlet and meeting great people along the way. So I do hope she stays gone for her sake and mine. I lasted 2 years including 1 year of living with her. Her previous relationship was 3 years as it was long distance so I think her new relationship will be 2-3 years as it’s also long distance. The big difference is when you are close to the narcissist 24/7 you quickly see the mask fall off, which is why I only put up with a year of living with her

My personal experience..My ex narc already moved onto the new supply while he was with me. They are cold. Once you find out who they are, leave em and never look back.

My narc is heavy on me rn😭 I blocked him on all stoicism media and have been keeping and swerving no contact. My only concern is he knows where I live but not my whereabouts. He's lurking in the background and just waiting and plotting to see how he can catch me off gaurd. But my God is Almighty and I'm prayer strong 💪🏾🙏🏾😇. I rely on him to keep me safe and strengthen me to stay away, be a shrewd one and stay out the way

I read an online survey taken on 100 survivors of Narcissistic abuse. And according to the survey, the average Love Bomb time frame was 6 months. It was 6 months for male Narcs and 3 months for female Narcs. I know all Narcs are different, but most ppl I know who are survivors started feeling the devaluing around months 6 or 7. In my experience, he love-bombed me a good 5 months before I started to feel a shift change. Then he started becoming more cold towards me. I remember feeling I had finally found my husband and thinking how I never felt so good in a relationship. And all of sudden, it was like I was with a different person.
Mines has been trying to get his family! & he’s been hiding a baby with the new supply! All while begging me for sex, his family back & wanting to come back home lol

Abuse?? Abuse?? My ex narcissist before me, her husband of 4 kids committed suicide over her cheating. She lied to me and said he was using drugs. The man took his life and I heard less than 30 days of him being buried, she had a new guy in her car.

My person resurfaced yesterday after 6 months of not seeing her and little to no contact. And this is with us having 2 kids together. She went very hard with the discard and she was dating somebody else. Whatever tactic she using she called me with apologies, I’m sorry for what I did, I miss being able to talk to you, will you talk to me etc. This was my wife at the time and the divorce is still not final. So when I ask what the status of it was bc she filed, she responded like shocked that I’m ok with it going through. I was the calm to the storm and wasn’t appreciated.

I left him over 130 days ago. The first time, I tried to leave him. I wasn't quite ready. I waited 2 1/2 weeks later. I planned and prayed my escape. I blocked him on everything! I have been in No contact ever since. I don't want to go back to someone who hurts me. I thank God I got out. I just love my life now with no drama or chaos. Be strong 💪 and just leave if you can..

It was exactly 3 months for me.
My lovebomb phase lasted about 10 weeks! The old supply before me her lovebomb lasted probably less than 2 months. The new supply's lovebomb I believe lasted approximately 3-4 months. So, I believe that the info you gave was accurate with that.
I heard the new supply looks terrible and tired. She also called him several times while he was in the pub drinking. The poor thing is 9 months pregnant..

The new supply moved in with them in October after them meeting in April, theyve both caused abuse to myself, probably both narcissistic! I havent been hoovered yet!
Love bombing happened through the relationship and came with gassing up after ignoring and or gaslight then after 10 or 11 months there was a discard. We got back together a month later and after that he was flaking on me the first month and at that point not many nice things were done for me very often anymore no matter what they did. Blame started happening way more often instead. This person was very dismissive. From the beginning he would feelings personally and make it about him and leave and ignore. Also multiple problems were created on after the other as if making more problems would solve the other problems. Add and memory issues where used to explain this stuff away, yet there was no consideration to feelings. Empty promises were made and ofcaorse always broken

Honestly you never know … it can be years and years depending upon the person and circumstances which is sad for the new supply because it’s wastes years of their lives . So sad
