Had my anterior hip replacement about 6 weeks ago. Everything went awesome and I am glad I did it.
How are u doing now am getting mines in July and am scared
Thank you for this helpful video. I just had my hip replaced and I'm trying hard to take proper precaution.
You guys have contributed to my success in my OT degree. Thank you! X
Studying for the NOTCE here! This video was helpful to understand the precautions for hip replacements. It's nice they mentioned some activities and not just exercises.
PTA here NPTE in april
Thank you for the video
Love you guys! I had an accident this summer and had both hips repaired (not replaced). I assume the exercises you show here would be good for me too. One leg is healing faster than the other. I don't know why. One request...when you wear black pants and black shoes it is sometimes hard to see what the movements are. If you could wear different color shoes and pants it would help. I'm so glad I found your videos. Thank you.
Haha laying in the hospital for a Rt Anterior hip Replacement. Thanks for your videos. I have been using your excerizes... over n out
Very helpful! I wasn’t completely sure what 90 degrees looked like and I was concerned that you had to always keep your leg straight which would be extremely uncomfortable sleeping. I’m glad to hear that I can have some bend to my knee. If you have a posterior approach done, how do you sleep on your back or sit?!?
I had posterior hip replacement done 1 month ago. I am able to walk without a stick now. The only precautions my surgeon told me are: don't cross your operated leg over non operated one, dont sit down on the floor with legs bent inwards and don't decrease the hip joint angle less than 90 degrees. I asked him how long should I follow this and he said 1 year. Is that correct? Anybody got same suggestions?
noone says how long to take these precautions??? sure would like to tie shoes????m.k
I'm so glad I had Anterior hip replacement last year September it will be almost a year. I walk and I ride my stationary bike doing good so far.
Hi am doing mines in July am 53 how are u doing now still doing good?
I had both hip done, I must be totally bless, because I FELL like 5 time and once with a seizure a few months after hip surgery- but what I couldn't do, was ride the horse carousel anymore; now with a little help lifting the leg over the horse I can ride the carousel now. and run a little more with out pain, but now I have to work on my back pain. all this happen within a year, Iam a little rough on myself, but I'm bless, and I had a anterior hip replacement. So anyone thinking about it, go for it. it beats walking bent over like a duck. i was almost in a wheelchair, but refuse, walking is a blessing and people should walk. instead of a wheelchair, and I do have a electric scooter, that helps alot to.
I will be facing hip replacement surgery (left) very soon. Final MRI tomorrow. Watching the surgical procedure on YT hasn't concerned me a bit, but watching this video made me a bit worried... when you folks say "don't hold your foot this way" or "never cross your ankles or legs" etc... do you mean FOREVER? Or is this during a common sense recovery period? First-time viewer here. I'm enjoying your other videos.

Thanks 👍👍
Welcome 👍
Would like to see proper way if you want to sleep on side w/pillow how much of the surgical leg bend?
I had my hip replacement 6 months later it dislocated, had it redone, bigger head I believe, and it dislocated again 8 months, they put it back in. I wasn’t allowed to bend forward for a year. All that was 21/2 yrs ago. I was waiting to do yoga, I’m wondering what I should avoid. I have become so stiff, I need to get some flexibility and strength back, any suggestions!,
So after watching this pain show - is there anything that DOESN’T lead to dislocation??
Am having this procedure Monday & it’s ABSOLUTELY NOT the horror show you portray.
I actually liked your channel - up the Valium.
how long should i take this precaution to avoid dislocation???
I was told you have to be hit by a Mac truck to dislocate. I snow ski.....I am 63.....I am a bit concerned too!
A lot has changed since this video.
My hip replacement has not been cured since Feb 2022, still paining, sometimes I can't even walk
Thanks, for information, but was hard to hear you ,next time try another microphone so we can hear you ndtter.

I tie my shoes the day I left the hoisptal
