- Here is my bass cover of "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer from their self-titled 1998 album.
For my subscribers: Yes, I moved to a new apartment; yes, I'm finally playing a non-Fender instrument; and yes, my hair is dyed a slightly different shade. All "just because" :-P
Don't worry, I still got my cats. They're just lounging elsewhere for now.
And as I always mention, I like to throw in my own fills and transitions, it's not like the record.
Nicely played. Thanks for sharing with us. Congratulations on the move.
Constantine Isslamow Thanks man!
You absolutely excelled on that solo. Good job.
Great cover, pretty true to the original Columbia recording! Doesn't hurt that you're easy on the eyes...

Best regards dear Radagast
hey i really love your bass, which one is it you’re playing?
HI, Did you drop all the strings down half a step? I have seem tabs that suggest you do. Great playing btw :)
u look cool while playing 🥰
hey, it si very nice! l like the song and bass cover!I hope you can adjust good tone
How many guitars you got? Nice, I liked your playing.
Les Sawyer Hey thanks! I have three electric basses and one electric guitar. I also have an acoustic bass and a mini acoustic guitar, although I don't use them very much. I guess it seems like I have a lot of instruments in my videos, but that's just because I regularly buy/sell/trade guitars since I love trying new things. It's really neat how every instrument feels and sounds unique even within the same brand and model, and my playing is always subtly different depending on the one I use. My main bass will likely always be my charcoal frost Fender american standard passive jazz bass with custom noiseless pickups; it's just so beautifully simple. The other basses are active and have more nobs and switches to mess with, which can be nice, but sometimes I just don't feel like messing with all that stuff. Although I'm definitely making more use of them nowadays since I'm playing a larger variety of styles live. The musicman stingray that I'm using in this video probably has the best array of tones due to the HH configuration. I had a jaguar that technically had more options, but in practice I found that only one or two settings were any good and the rest kinda sucked. Pretty much all of the stingray's basic pickup settings are great for one type of song or another. The middle setting yields the best sound for slap bass that i've ever heard, which is getting me to give slap another shot (after having sworn off it for years). I haven't decided which slap-bass song to attempt yet, though. Hmm.
***** Thanks for lengthy reply, much appreciated. One more question, do you use flatwound strings?
yeah it sounds nice but your're allowed to smile while playing the bass!
Brother, can i get the tab?
