Hey Micheal, Your CBG build and lesson videos have really inspired me. I'm about 2/3rd of the way through building my first CBG! The neck is shaped and fitted in the box (which I built myself as I've found it tricky to find genuine boxes here in the UK), the fret slots are cut (that was a scary job first time around) and fret wire has has just arrived so I'm ready to move on to fitting the frets. Keep the videos coming. Thanks for all the great advice and ideas.
Good stuff my friend, it really is a lot of fun to be able to rattle out a tune without reading or following a specific piece of music...hey here's another saying from the 80;s for old MTV heads, who said....You wanna be a flower, you gotta be a seed...
Thank you very much! The lesson was very easy to follow and understand. Although I’m having trouble with the one finger/barre chords, I’m gonna keep practicing! Keep the great work!
What amp is that little white Vox sitting in the background? You mentioned it in another video but I can’t seem to find it, and I really liked all the features you mentioned for a startup amp!
Hi I've just watched this again , and it is a very easy lesson especially for a idiot like me ! But , theres always a but , lol , I cant contorted my fingers into position to play the chords , have you a lesson for the one finger that is idiot proof ? Thanks .
Thanks Tony, I do have more lesson videos, where I use 1 finger chords here's a link to the Lessons Playlist ua-cam.com/play/PLsVq_J4z4mmUNjoQcGFi5zYS_AJBMTHC7.html

This was a fun lesson. I really like the sound of that Paint Can Resonator, in the outro. M~
Me too, must make one.
@Adam Bright I think you should.
hi, thank you so much for your tutorial, i can’t read sheet music at all and i’m hoping this will help😁
Clearest, simplest and best lesson on cbg chords on UA-cam. Thanks.
Top geezer👍
Thank you Blrry i, I appreciate that. and thank for checking it out. M~
Another great video, thanks from Nottingham Uk. I will be watching that progression about a million times until it starts to sound the same for me!,
Thank you Adam. I don't mind if you watch it a million times, but I don't think it will take that long to sound good lol M~
Nice licks! Well taught with humor. thanks
Glad you liked it! 😊
I need to learn to play this !
Thanks Tony. Yes, I agree, its a cool tune :) M~
Loving the tutorials, not so much the dad jokes, keep on cheering us all up!

Thanks Rod, The first time you do your own frets, its a little challenging, but pretty easy the next time around. Good luck with your build. M~
Just what i needed Mike...just learning how to play my CBG...i can make em...just can't play them 😊.
Thanks Harry, Well, just think, a lot of people can play them and can't make them, so you will be doing both. 😀
@@SouthernFireGuitars lol i guess your right...never thought of it that way.
@@harrymaselii9889 There's always 2 ways of looking at something lol

Cool! Which is the root note of the first chord shape that you're showing?
Hello¡¡ What do you have for open G but tuned D-G-B (second, third and fourth strings of a normal guitar)
Hi, I'm using Bronze wound 040 030 022 gauge strings. You could use them as well. M~
Hi Mike, great lesson. I'm receiving my first cbg next week. It's got diatonic tuning. Will I still be able to follow your lessons
Thanks. The fretting will be a bit different. but sure. M~

Thanks Chels. That is the Vox Mini 5 rhythm amp. They may have stopped making it, although I do see them sometimes on Ebay.
@@SouthernFireGuitars Thank You! I will hunt around and see if I can find one!
