I like this idea. You can use ship's boat to get to islands to replenish water and food. For the hard simmers, being able to carry small cargo on this boat like boxes of provision and water barrels to and from the ship is a bonus. And of course, positioning the kedge anchor to warp the ship. If you were to implement courier missions, using the row boat sure beats taking the ship into harbour just for small parcels.
If no one has pointed it out, the movement of the oars when turning is reversed, the oar that should remain still is moving and the one that should be rowing is still.

Thank you -- I've had a few cases of reversal hah. I've done a lot of updates on the rowing since this vid, but don't think I've fixed that yet.

Will you be able to position your ship’s anchor using the rowboat?
Currently no -- but I like the idea. Anchor placement is simplified to a degree, but I definitely get that many folks would prefer a more 'hard' sim.
