Sounds like when you got to college you felt like you arrived. That's maybe why you didn't work as hard as you did when you were in high school. But you given the grace to have another opportunity and you took advantage of it. Now look at you. Killing it. Showing others the right way to achieve their goals. Keep up the good work my brother.
How do I get to heaven? Will my good deeds be measured against my bad deeds? Do I need to be a good person to go to heaven? How do I know if I'm good enough? Well the bible says no man is good, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. So how do we get to heaven? Answer: By believing on Jesus Christ who took the punishment for our sin on the cross. There are no amount of good works we can do to achieve salvation because salvation is a free gift of God. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
@@markkhardaway2017 I believe you. Basketball due to the limited size of a roster is the most "dog-eat-dog" team sport around. It's possible you were the best skilled player on your team. I was pretty good at basketball myself, but I understood why I often didn't make the team. I made the team as a senior, but my pride refused to ride the bench. And that was on me. Looking back, I should have stayed on the team. I knew one guy that easily should have played division 1 basketball, but he was never given good direction. Overall, there are several ballers out there on the HS level that are easily div. 1 material. Unfortunately, the ones that get to go to those special AAU camps often get recognized first even if there are plenty of players outside that bubble that may be better overall basketball players. I still love the game of basketball.

Been waiting for this for a long time. A stunted growth from the man himself. I've always been interested from hearing your story. Merry Christmas to you and may you be blessed with the best!
1) Thanks for being brave enough to put yourself out there. This really highlights the value of people studying Kobe's obsessive focus from the jump or the Troy Bell college mentality you mentioned. I think that was valuable. 5) All of your journey led you to an iconic top 3 YT basketball show of all time. So you definitely made it! Why this channel doesn't have 100k is beyond me. Best basketball videos on UA-cam. Thanx again. This is my story, too. I found a second chance playing in other countries. It saved my life. I feel you, bro.
Props to you fam on this...you gain the MOST respect when you should that you too are vulnerable by sharing your journey and your "stunts". I followed your page because of a similar story and watching the ones I either played against or looked up to and seeing them not hit the mark we all thought they would. It's important to know this and learn and also to self reflect! The irony is that I have a son who is going through his own journey. Played against D'aaron Fox, played against Dennis Smith Jr. and for a lot of reasons ended up the NAIA route when he was clearly D1 good and is now trying to get a gig overseas and is about to play semi-pro in California. Funny how all this works man, but at the end of the day, it takes those NOT making the NBA to make what NBA players accomplish special, and just being able to make a living off of basketball in anyway possible is the blessing in all of this. The best basketball player from my town was a 6'9" super athlete who was T-Mac before there was a T-Mac and he was GUARANTEED to make it to the league, but died his Sr. year in a car accident coming back from a party...and with that and where I am now, I know what happens is all in God's plan. Peace to you bro and keep doing what you do!
Much respect to you for sharing your story with us. Growing up and maxing out at 5'4 as my adult height I always knew the NBA wasn't a possibility for me but outside of the lack of genetic gifts it seemed impossible even with them. There are a hundred thousand basketball players in North America alone not including the overseas guys and only 13 roster spots. So many things in your life have to go right to even get to draft day its crazy think about it
Excellent as always Bro! GODs Plan! I definitely feel u! BBall was always my favorite sport and had a chance to pursue it in college, but was offered more in the 2 other sports I played in high school! But did reach my NFL goal for the short time I was able hang around! Thanks for sharing your story Bro! Keep up the great work! Let's Get It!
I be watching your videos unconsciously. This video got my full attention. It was dope and inspiring. The part where you didn't get draft and you wouldn't be consoled was hilarious. Thanks Man for telling your story You have my full attention
Awesome to hear you’re story and experience. Love to see guys share knowledge with younger dudes so they can learn from others mistakes. Keep it up brother.
On the money. Your journey, your story should serve as an inspiration to all. I can identify with everything you mentioned. Awesome to see you shining JC.. Keep doing you fam..
JC thank you for sharing your story. I could relate to your story in so many ways. I was a kid who had natural talent but no guidance. To the point where I shut down potential collegiate scholarships because I was tired of school and honestly did not know what a scholarship even meant. No one in the fam attended college so me closing that door was easy. It didnt take long to realize it was a mistake. I figured I was so good I could just show up anywhere and make it because thats all I did. But now ive been blessed with a son who has some natural abilities. Everything you touched on in your video I have told him the same thing and I we will be watching this one together like we have done with numerous videos of yours. Salute!!
Great video man, rly opened my eyes on how your mindset matters so much and how you should enjoy the journey rather than worry bout the end result of it. Ngl you have one of the smoothest left hand shots I’ve seen 👀
Good deal JC! Happy to finally see who Mr. Stunted Growth is... lefty from the islands. Keep pressing sir and helping these young cats to the truth of the NBA grind!
Very inspirational story brother. It's sad you didn't have any guidance that young. Your right, you did make it. Maybe not the path you thought it would be but the path God had laid out for you. Your a success and the reason is because you never quit. Salute to you

I heard it in your voice, thank you for sharing that Brother that seemed like you pulled a knife out your heart!! Life/God has a tricky way of humbling us all.. god bless man, stay up 🙏🏻
JC I enjoyed your stomach love story you very much so I too love basketball I stopped playing after one year High School sometime in life you allow situations where people could take away your dreams and your hopes and aspirations and when you look back 20 30 years later you can't blame anybody for you but yourself for allowing someone to take away your dream your story was very touching it made me think it made me know that is she happens to not just you me it happens to a many people I'm many talented people that could have went somewhere should have went somewhere thanks a lot
I’ve always seen sports as a metaphor. Your journey applies to life, in general. Everything about sports applies to life and vice versa. Both are about hard work, dedication, commitment, teamwork and most importantly, passion. You have to love what you do. Without love and passion; you’re wasting your time. Sports and life teaches us that our real competition is time. We’re not competing against the other team or each other in life. We’re competing against the time we have in this world. We have to be the best we can be at all times, on the court, on the field or as a person.
Appreciate the story. Takes courage to expose self to a bunch of strangers. I associate with the creating and not loving the performing part of music. Definitely know what it feels like to almost get there. Keep doing your thing. 👂🏾🧠❤️👀🙏🏿
Real shit I salute you bro. There are way to many "certified" people talking about sports and have barely played even recreational ball. So its refreshing for you to speak about your real story and show the youth. I will make sure to spread the word on your you content. #onelove #keeppushing
I appreciate you sharing your story..Former D1/D2 hooper myself. I never thought I would make it to the league, but overseas for sure. Tore my ACL in 01, b4 I got to college and was never the same..In HS I was very good, nike all American camp, nba camp etc..but at that time after the ACL tear my body never was the same, not being able to move or play how I was used to playing it was extremely frustrating. I just wanted to get out of school, debt free and graduate. By the grace of God I was able to do it. Basketball has taken me far, coming from Toronto to where I am now. I didn't play overseas or the NBA, didn't play much in college, but I was on a basketball scholarship. My 1st goal leaving Toronto.Basketball has changed my life.. appreciate the story. I'm sure a lot of guys you talk about, would look at their game wishing they did this better or did more etc if they could do it again.
JC Thank you for this feature. Hindsight insight and foresight knowledge wisdom guidance are POWERFUL. A lot of us didn’t achieve what we perceive to be our full potential. I’m glad you shared your story. Making it in the NBA may not have been for you but you appear to have made it in life in another way. How I do anything is how I do everything cherish every chance you get in the gym class room etc. what good is a man with no plan? Every goal must have a routine attached. I’m 25 and aiming to get better in life the game never stops. I made it out the hood south side Chicago finished college got a decent scholarship but looking back I could have got a full ride anywhere I wanted to and i did that with no guidance really. I treat life like a game working on all aspects skills trying to be an all pro 1st team in life in every aspect. My NBA is never broke again. Thank you for the features and keep them up YOU MADE IT IN YOUR OWN WAY.
Greeting from Greece JC! I love your videos, and i am promoting your channel to the greek hoop fans! Many of the featured players did great in Europe and some of them are considered legends (i.e. Acie Law ). Keep up the good job man!
Criticism aside you bring the best content in this type of genre. The fact that you got that close is incredible. I did ok juco and struggled at NAIA d2 so hats off to you big time. Tell me why you can hear the bahamian accent on video but not in the audio lol. Big respect.
I appreciate your story. Goes to show how many levels to this exist. I don't think your growth was really stunted. Even with all the breaks there was no guarantees & maybe the other opportunities would have never opened up.
I can relate to this video J.C this happen to me in high school I had a uncle who tried to tell me and my kinfolks who can hoop to stay at it and we didn’t. I lost focus and regret that all the time. I went from getting in the game to stop coming to practice wanting to bullshit with friends who I don’t hang with no more who wasn’t even real friends just jealous scumbags
Thank you for sharing your story. When pursuing a basketball career, if you didn't make the league you are a failure. This is not true and that mentality does more harm than good. I see countless young men who had hoop dream stuck at I didn't make the league and not living in their lives. Bruh you are a success and your story is inspiring. Keep giving back.
Bro, I think this is the best video you ever made. I could feel the emotion when you talked about your journey and I respect you didn't blame anyone else. Shows your maturity. I believe in you and think someone with your resilience to fight thru adversity can do great things and I believe you will
This is probably a lot of our stories. I did the same thing. Focused on ball and was the first to do it and once I was free in college I gravitated to the wrong crowd. Guidance is key. I refuse to let my son down and go down that path because it's a lot of pain. Great video
Man I been waiting for this for a year now lol. And it couldn't have been better. It coulda been a hr longer. Loved it. Man I had the same problems growing up just in life as well. Lack of guidance, mindset, focus. That will stunt ANY person's growth and life. Beautifully done. At one point basketball was my life as well. That love and passionate you develop from a young age, that stays with you for life. And look at how you refocused and traveled, worked hard, went to Japan and opened businesses? Damn bro. Love it. Keep Goin.
Dope episode, fam We all knew the haters were waiting for this jawn to drop The music version of Stunted Growth is a good look...I'm interested to see the artists you showcase...keep doing your thing You most definitely should look into coaching, or talent development, because your analysis is on point Do an episode on Mychal Thompson; he's from the Bahamas, and he did his thing in the University of Minnesota and with the Lakers P.S. I'm interested to listen to your music, because two joints at the end were dope Peace 💯

Thank you for sharing your story JC. You’re one of my favorite basketball content UA-camrs. Your videos are A1 and I look forward seeing who you’ll profile next. I will definitely be subscribing to your Stunted Growth music channel. Keep up the good work young brother 💯
This was dope. I honestly wasnt evn planning on watching the whole thing, but it was over before I realized I watched it in its entirety lol That's how I know a person is uber talented-when they can get a person to sit thru, basically, a mini documentary, without making you feel like you're watching a documentary. I saw the time length and was like, 'I'm not watching all that. I'll just watch the beginning and Im sure I can figure out the rest thru context clues, but, I ended up handing on every word he said, including, his song at the end. JC is so freakin blessed. His mother, I KNOW she is proud. I would be BEYOND proud to have a brother like him. Oh, and the music channel is how I discovered this channel.
Excited to watch this, been waiting! Merry Christmas, thanks for the amazing content!
To do a self-analysis is growth. Keep up the work and thank you for sharing your story.
Salute✌️💯✌️
💯💯💯
Much respect to you for sharing your story with us. Growing up and maxing out at 5'4 as my adult height I always knew the NBA wasn't a possibility for me but outside of the lack of genetic gifts it seemed impossible even with them. There are a hundred thousand basketball players in North America alone not including the overseas guys and only 13 roster spots. So many things in your life have to go right to even get to draft day its crazy think about it
Plot twist: JC made the NBA he goes by the name Jamal Crawford
🤣 Shhh
He reminds me of kareem Rush
Thank you JC!!!Hope you have a blessed one bro 🙏🏾✊🏾💯💯💯
This just makes me appreciate u even more bro hope this channel never dies
💯
Excellent as always Bro! GODs Plan! I definitely feel u! BBall was always my favorite sport and had a chance to pursue it in college, but was offered more in the 2 other sports I played in high school! But did reach my NFL goal for the short time I was able hang around! Thanks for sharing your story Bro! Keep up the great work! Let's Get It!
Not only a teacher but one helluva story-teller. Thanks for sharing your story and I wish you the best for your endeavors in 2021

Same herr
You are a great story teller! That's the reason why I gravitated to your page. Thanks for your humility and for sharing your story of vulnerability.
Thank you!
@@stuntedgrowth you’re welcome young man.
Great channel and great video. My fave of yours so far. You should play RBtheBreakthrough 1-on-1
I be watching your videos unconsciously. This video got my full attention. It was dope and inspiring. The part where you didn't get draft and you wouldn't be consoled was hilarious. Thanks Man for telling your story You have my full attention
My boy Magnum Rolle from the Bahamas also. Love the story bro please keep up the work!!!!
Salute to you
I respect and appreciate the transparency. Luv this vid. I'm a say this in regards to ur Stunted Growth. Ur not mature until ur mature. Point blank period. Salute! Luv the channel and will continue to support.
Your analysis is on point Bro! You're a Basketball Savant. (And I DON'T even play the sport) You're the Jack Ramsey of UA-cam!!!
Much respect to you JC 💯
Only a real Hooper can relate and understand
I appreciate all the Stunted Growth stories you do but much much respect for providing us with your story 💯💪🏽🙏🏽
I watched all 42 minutes of this video. I love your channel & content, bro. You are one of my inspirations to start my own UA-cam channel.
Love this video Salute 💯!!! I would love to see you play Jxmy Highroller one on one since he was also a former D1 college athlete.
i feel bad, i suggested a Forte and K. Bogans but I'm new and didn't peep the Forte one. love the channel
That’s real bro 🙏🏼 I’m sure it took a lot to be honest w yourself and let your viewers know what “stunted your growth” but as a student of the game n someone who plays on the regular, there’s politics involved n there’s levels to it, much respect ✊ my dude
👂🏾🧠❤️👀🙏🏿
Your Abdul Rauf clip got me started but your own testimonial is the best clip! I forwarded to my son immediately. Thank you! God Bless
Real shit I salute you bro. There are way to many "certified" people talking about sports and have barely played even recreational ball. So its refreshing for you to speak about your real story and show the youth. I will make sure to spread the word on your you content. #onelove #keeppushing
Daaaaaam how did I miss this and I've been waiting for it let's go my man JC stunted growth big shouts 💯✊🏾💪🏾
Brother, you're a success story. Inspirational
@@FoxNewsChannelSux Amen brother. Thank you. Very fortunate.
JC
Thank you for this feature.
I live in Greece
Your vids are the best man. I love all the 90s players you talk about. And the music beat is dope
Criticism aside you bring the best content in this type of genre. The fact that you got that close is incredible. I did ok juco and struggled at NAIA d2 so hats off to you big time. Tell me why you can hear the bahamian accent on video but not in the audio lol. Big respect.
Props man, I’ve been waiting on this!! Super dope.
"No one is talented enough to succeed on talent alone"
I appreciate your story. Goes to show how many levels to this exist. I don't think your growth was really stunted. Even with all the breaks there was no guarantees & maybe the other opportunities would have never opened up.
I've been waiting for this even tho I'm so late. Big props to you for letting here your story
Facts
Roll one sip sum to this later...been waiting on this one!!!!!!
@Donte Erb I feel ya
Yes iam bout to stop the vid and finish watching it when i get lit
Damn bro. Love it. Keep Goin.
Good work SG!
Beautiful video congratulations on having the self awareness to realize who you were and are.
Dope episode, fam
We all knew the haters were waiting for this jawn to drop
The music version of Stunted Growth is a good look...I'm interested to see the artists you showcase...keep doing your thing
You most definitely should look into coaching, or talent development, because your analysis is on point
Do an episode on Mychal Thompson; he's from the Bahamas, and he did his thing in the University of Minnesota and with the Lakers
P.S.
I'm interested to listen to your music, because two joints at the end were dope
Peace
💯
You left your soul bare in this video and it came across as authentic and relatable. Huge respect for making this video and thanks for continuing this unique channel.
U not just talking you can actually hoop from one hooper to another I appreciate that my boy
I think everybody was looking forward to hearing this one. It’s good for everyone to hear your testimony.
Great upload on ur Journey and insight experience in game. NBA Basketball nowa days is a big ass Finest fess Now .everything is watereddown and commercial. Thats great that you found ur Lane and perseverance through ur grind on music and stunted growth videos came out overall solid .You are right about How everyone is About Resumes when it comes to sports They can be hypercritical .
You didn't owe anybody any explanation, but it's a wonderful thing that you were honest, transparent in openly sharing your story and I certainly appreciate you ! Great work, do what you do and keep it up
Thank you for sharing your story JC.
Just when I thought he couldnt be any more talented, I find this channel lol
