la dispute drinking game: listen to somewhere at the bottom of the river... and drink every time jordan says darling, dear, love or asks a question. xD
1.New Storms for Older Lovers 0:30, 2.The Castle Builders 5:30, 3.Bury Your Flame 9:04, 4.Andria 14:50, 5.Edit Your Hometown 19:10, 6.How I Feel 22:17, 7.Why It Scares Me 24:13, 8.Sad Prayers for Guilty Bodies 28:50, 9.Damaged Goods 32:37, 10.The Last Lost Continent 36:46, 11.Said the King to the River 51:00
I've had the privilege of seeing la dispute live, where they didn't take the stage but the floor, and asked everybody to gather round them. It was the single greatest night ever. i was litterally face to face with jordan dryer the entire set. they also played with touche' amore' that night. I'll never forget that night
This is by far the best live video I've seen... never saw a crowd so compromised with what the band was singing, they even knew a twelve minute song complete, and that alone means how much La Dispute music means to them... The Last Lost Continent is an amazing song with so much to say, yet so little time to be said in. There's so much to say... yet I'll just say that I'm starting to love their music and hopefully they'll come to my country one day, along other bands from the "scene"...
something that probably goes unnoticed, I love how the video starts during daylight with a heavier set,and then the hype dies down a bit as it fades into night, Great set.
I don't know, but if you're looking for bands in this genre then Touché Amoré and Me Without You are too. Other similar bands (some are a stretch): Listener, Pianos become teeth, Million Dead, Defeater, The Elijah, My heart to joy and Brand New.
@horrorshow64 That's Jeremy Bolm the vocalist from Touché Amoré. The song is called why it scares me and you can find it on the split Searching for a Pulse/The Worth of the World from La dispute and Touché Amoré. Fucking love that song :D!
@horrorshow64 That's the lead singer of Touche Amore. La Dispute did a split with them, I don't remember the name of the song exactly but it's on that split.

Their sound is definitely original. No Post Hardcore band, excluding early Mewithoutyou match up to this standard of poetic lyrics, musical alternations/shifts or intensity.
There is a genre called "The Wave" underneath it fall five artists: Defeater, Touche Amore, Make Do and Mend, Pianos Become The Teeth and La Dispute. So I guess you could call this genre The Wave, there's a bit of info on it in the "Influences and Legacy" part of LD's wiki page. And before anyone says shit to me about how this isn't true, relax: Jordan said this stuff in an interview...
new storms for older lovers is so good live i saw them last night and they played it and is was fucking great.only baad things were that they played mostly wildlife. i wish they played vancouver or somewhere but watcha gonna do
Which reminds me... I'm going to a Touché Amoré concert tomorrow... I have no idea why I'm writing this, but I just read my own comment so I feel like it.
This is the way a show should be, if people didn't go on stage and try fucking with the bands. People who hate bands go to their concerts and throw shit at the bands, and because of them there's security gurads and barriers. If you don't like a band, don't see them live. Simple as that, let people have fun and enjoy the show.
Spoken Word Hardcore I guess. If you're looking for similar bands, check out Silencer by MewithoutYou, some Touché Amoré (especially the split-album with la dispute) or maybe Million Dead.
Because THAT'S what you meant by download. You buy music on iTunes. You should probably suggest that instead of telling people to just download music. Even if it's not what you meant, I don't really care but it's not what other people are going to think when you say that.

+Tony Murguia that's my dream, you're lucky!
out of the hundreds of shows and bands I've experienced live, nothing has come close to that expierence. Can I go back? pls 😢

This style of music has no genre, no boundaries. It is simply an artform for your ears and heart.
great crowd. GREAT.
Imagine a crowd like this after Rooms and Wildlife?
thanks for posting! one of my FAVORITE bands that I still need to see...
+Annette Kim Peacock and i have to ask, have you seen them already?
Yes. Finally saw them at Mohawks on 3.23.14 Hopefully seeing them again in June at Emo's East.
This band was playing shows in my basement 3-4 years ago and now look at them. Holy shit...good for them.
I love how they shout out and praise the other bands who played at that festival. Very kind gesture
hearing a crowd shouting the lyrics that I love, beautiful.
i was really upset about everything and then i came to youtube and watched this show and JESUS THIS IS FUCKING EPIC I LOVE THIS BAND...
something that probably goes unnoticed, I love how the video starts during daylight with a heavier set,and then the hype dies down a bit as it fades into night, Great set.
wow this must have been amazing! i love how the sky gets darker and darker as they play and stage lights up :)
thank you sooo sooo much for the upload! :3
i have never heard a band, more amazing that la dispute. my god, this is beauty.
love it how it slowly fades to night over their set, pefect
I don't know, but if you're looking for bands in this genre then Touché Amoré and Me Without You are too. Other similar bands (some are a stretch): Listener, Pianos become teeth, Million Dead, Defeater, The Elijah, My heart to joy and Brand New.
Fantastic guys, keep coming back to Oz.

THANK YOU, MrTruffle!
@horrorshow64
That's Jeremy Bolm the vocalist from Touché Amoré. The song is called why it scares me and you can find it on the split Searching for a Pulse/The Worth of the World from La dispute and Touché Amoré. Fucking love that song :D!
it was wonderful.
La Dispute is such a great band
I can't wait to go to a show like this.
If I could get a chance to sing with Jordan.
I could just die right there and be happy.
so perfect.
The energy is like no other
skvělej zážitek! vraťte se! .))
Jordan's little shuffle is the most cutest fucking thing I've ever seen.
Thanks !
Best band ever♥
@horrorshow64 That's the lead singer of Touche Amore. La Dispute did a split with them, I don't remember the name of the song exactly but it's on that split.
I was gonna watch a movie but I watched this instead.
Hell yes.

This was right before their best album imo, Wildlife, came out.

Woot! Saw em in Orlando. It was epic.
Who cares what genre it is.... It's different and it's AWESOME
Seeing all these random people go up on stage and jump off makes me smile so damn hard :') I wish every concert was like this!!
meine Favoriten
möchte sie nie mehr missen
WOW!!
Their sound is definitely original. No Post Hardcore band, excluding early Mewithoutyou match up to this standard of poetic lyrics, musical alternations/shifts or intensity.
seeing them the 26 omfg omfg omfg
Last Lost Continent was beautiful.
I love this bands fanbase
La Dispute Genres: Post-hardcore, progressive rock, spoken word, screamo. Screamo is an actual genre lolz
There is a genre called "The Wave" underneath it fall five artists: Defeater, Touche Amore, Make Do and Mend, Pianos Become The Teeth and La Dispute. Also check out Pianos Become the Teeth.
I counted the numbers of stagediving that occurred.. A shit-ton is the answer.
You cleary didn't see a Touché Amoré concert yet...
Which reminds me... I'm going to a Touché Amoré concert tomorrow... I have no idea why I'm writing this, but I just read my own comment so I feel like it.
DerTomatenToaster Oh damn. Hope you have a good time. Do a backflip.
Workard I'll try my best and tell you if I did :'D
Nope... all of the crowd in front of the stage was a mosh pit, if I did a backflip or even stagedived I would have died xD
i love la dispute. BUT THE DREYER SHUFFLE IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.
I recently saw them.. Today, and they were amazing, I fucking love la dispute.
Como me gustaria verlos en vivo
emotive post-hardcore mate, that's what i call it
In my country you don´t see a crowd like this anymore only people with a fucking phone and not even feeling the songs.
Interesting comment.
I love how people are just flying on and off stage.
yo dude. set list in the description would be great.
Who cares what "genre" this is. It's MUSIC and AMAZING is what it is.
1:22 insanely good.
@tijnmans Ok i wasn't sure about that , but the voice made me think about TA :)
1:30 is kinda cool
Me, my tofuburger, the sunset, La Dispute = Fluff Fest 2011.
Just download both of their albums ;D
Ty vole, I was there...

Looks like a gig in front of a horde of zombies. Zombies with a good taste in music.
Ed, I think about you often.
Jordan.
@drahcirrelyt "new storms for old lovers" off their first full-length
yes it is linked to melodic hardcore. he is right. what would you call it?
they are classified Post-Hardcore .. but to me they are something more than the average screamo band
Spoken Word Hardcore I guess. If you're looking for similar bands, check out Silencer by MewithoutYou, some Touché Amoré (especially the split-album with la dispute) or maybe Million Dead.
new storms for old lovers
The true screamo.
fucking awesome
i think it fits indie. neither this nor that a happy medium enjoy:3
polar bear club, touche amour and la dispute. i need to go abroad for a new of festival
first crowd to ever tap on tempo.
where are the wedges? or are they just using side fills? or in ear system? or nothing? haha...
nice, btw
Usually classified as post-hardcore (whatever that means). Just please don't call it screamo. That's something else entirely.
Someone post a setlist?
could i have the song order for this set?
Where did that toboggan or whatever it is come from at 30:32? o.O
what is the setlist for this show?
42:10 Best crowd surfer. Ever.

Set list?
Oh yeah.
@jamjam5656 Why it scares me off of their split with touche amoure
But its fun.
