Thanks for sharing this. Just finished reading "Health and Beauty Mastery" - what an eye-opener! This book exposes so many hidden truths about the health industry that no one talks about! I completely changed my habits
While there is the heavily processed sausage we find in the frozen section full of all kinds of bad things, I think it might be okay to buy the freshly made sausage you can buy at the meat counter at Whole Foods. It's just meat and spices. They make it there, like you would make at home.
Thankfully I don’t drink alcohol, wine or anything. I rarely eat processed meats, maybe once every three months, no smoking by me or anyone I know. I’m on weight watchers eating healthy foods and less of everything. ( I’ve lost 15 pounds and working on losing another 15 of fat. I just started strength training again after three months of being off. ( I used to do 20 minutes every day and walking for 30 minutes every day for this year.) before my cancer diagnoses I used to walk 3-4 miles daily and strength trained 4 days a week. I’m a cancer survivor, invasive lobular cancer in my breasts and 6/13 lymph nodes, also B- cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. I had a double mastectomy, I have one more chemo session in one week and then will start 30 sessions of Radiation. I love listening to your You Tube Videos, thank you! I think the one thing they may have contributed to my cancer is I would drink one or two Sparkling Icee Drinks they are sugar free and have great ingredients, they do have Sucralose, not sure if that’s a contributing factor. Now I’ve cut way down to maybe 3 - 17 ounce bottles a week, now I drink mainly water. Even my DNA and gene reports were good.
Your comments were very helpful to me as I had a double mastectomy three weeks ago for stage 3 DCIS. I just visited with my radiation doctor this past Friday who told me that my HER-2 samples (twice done) have come back equivocal, meaning that a determination of whether my HER-2 is positive or negative was unable to be made. He is waiting on a different kind of report that will hopefully give him the information he needs to help him/me decide about chemo. He thinks I most likely will need chemo, maybe herceptin, probably radiation and definitely aromatase therapy. I am post menopausal. Thanks for reading all these details about my cancer! How many rounds of chemo did you have? Were you able to drive yourself to and from your chemo? I am widowed and live alone. I admire how hard you are working to stay healthy. I eat a fair amount of processed meat and I really love diet colas! I don't drink nor smoke. Any help you can give me would truly be appreciated. Diane in NC
I guess some peoples are lucky I have a buddy who had stage4 esophageal cancer and he still smokes cigarettes and drinks beer and he’s going on his fifth year out I can’t understand it he’s blessed
The fuel of cancer is not meat itself. If metabolic fatty acid oxidation and glycolysis are stopped cancer or tumors cannot grow. These can grow with "engineered food": plantbased or animalbased food. Consider that all plantbased fat has high metabolic fatty acid oxidation in the west the chance of developing cancer is now almost 50%.
I hope you will be okay. I am almost 5 years in remission from very aggressive breast cancer. I've never smoked, rarely drank, have been a vegetarian for about 15 years, and was a little overweight. There are no guarantees.

avoid processed meats, alcohol, unhealthy body weight, tobacco; set protein target & eat adequate protein every day, get target exercise levels every day, eat plants as your majority food, eat high fiber diet,
Weight is only associated with cancer. May not be the direct cause. In fact high IGF-1 is thought to be a risk - and this increases when eating more protein. Overweight people generally eat too much protein already. The key to losing weight is low energy density foods. Keep it 100% wholefoods, ideally make your own food. Modern food products are designed to be addictive. Create a new palette.
I received a lot of chemo for a long time for non Hodgkins. A female friend had lung surgery and got duxeltine. I did not, and the peripheral neuropathy is bad. I guess im asking why they prescribed Claritin. Magnesium is good I feel.
Yes, but that promise is for heaven, not for here. God said there will be tribulations here on this earth and look at what Paul and many others went through in the Bible. The day is coming when there will be no more sickness, if we are Christians, but it’s not now
The processed meat and alcohol make me wonder about comorbidities. Most fast food meat is processed. The buns, fries, and either sugary drink or artificial sweeteners likely have more to do with cancer than the meat itself. Also, alcohol is a stressor that people consume to deal with stress. Could it not be the stress/depression leading to the drinking that has as much to do with cancer as the drinking itself? For the record I avoid fast food and don’t drink.
The think is I have Never eating processed meat I eat very healthy food and end up with lung cancer 🤔some time I didn't think it's always with food but just luck 😢
About 10% of cancers are genetic. The rest are lifestyle or exposure. Just bc we don’t fully understand your cause doesn’t mean it’s “luck” you have a lot of power
I’m so sorry to hear that. I hear quite often about people getting cancer that have been eating healthy for years, so it’s not uncommon. Sometimes it can be genetics, stress or the environment you are in. There are many reasons, not just food. I don’t believe food is the main reason. I do try to eat healthy, it makes me feel better at the time, but there’s no guarantee against cancer. Sending prayers for a complete healing. 🙏✝️
Hi there. I'm just wondering if the advice you give for estrogen positive breast cancer would be the same for estrogen positive endometrial cancer?? I have the latter and want to make sure that the plan to prevent recurrence for both estrogen positive cancers is the same before i end up sabotaging myself??
We need to take a different approach for endometrial cancer vs breast. There will be some cross over with hormonally driven cancers but it needs to be customized to your diagnosis
Do you have any videos specifically for estrogen positive endometrial cancer? I see alot of breast cancer videos but not endometrial. If you don't have any- would you be able to do a video on endometrial cancer? Please, and thank you!!😊
Dear dr. Amy, greetings from Croatia❤ I have just finished with my chemo (16 over 5 months) for breast cancer. Can you please answer is it ok to take supplements of vitamin B complex and other, like vitamin C, minerals like zinc, magnesium etc? I take vitamin D. There is many contradictory information on the Internet about vitamin B supplements during chemo. Did you take supplements when you were on therapy? How can we improve our immune system after chemo and after radiotherapy? Thank you
@lynnberger7164 I will advise you to take this Natural Vegetable juice 🥤 including , White Pumpkin, Red Pumpkin, Carrot 🥕 Beetroot, Bitter Gourd, White Gourd, Curry leaves, Tomato 🍅, all in small quantities nicely washed RAW and put in mixer and crush properly with water and drink empty stomach in morning and do not have anything after taking it for 1 hour
Interesting, my Gyn Oncologist is a great supporter of eating a Plant-based, whole food diet with little or no animal products. She tells me that my risk of recurrence is 3%. That said I will follow your advice to add more protein at each meal and exercise more, including strength training which I have been missing. Thank you! There is no way, I will ever eat meat, due to animal welfare concerns, which is also a reason to cut out cheese and other dairy products, not to mention all the hormones and anti-biotics pumped into animals.
You don’t need to eat meat to increase protein. Plant based or plant forward diets definitely lower cancer risk. But plant based doesn’t mean the absence of meat. It means more plants!🌱
I worked many years in agriculture game fruit and vegetables the amount of sprays they use the hole items is toxic ,it’s through the hole fruit and vegetables can’t wash it off ,we have been lied too about fruits and vegetables as being healthy the body has a hard time processing them ,ask yourself what do you see in the toilet or if you been sick ? Chunks of vegetables 😂best to eat a low carb diet and stop listening to bs studies on fruits and vegetables payed for by big agricultural corporations.
Is it proceeded meat or meat with nitrites or celery? There are companies that now make nitrite and celery free. Interesting that the protein chart included beef. Yet I was told by 3 doctors NO BEEF.
I recommend you read "The China Study" by T. Colin Campbell. Then you will understand that you are giving out wrong information about recommending chicken, turkey, fish and yogurt and cottage cheese to increase protein for cancer patients or for anybody.
I only eat white meat as had breast cancer and Red meat isn't Recommended, I eat soya yogurt not dairy, so if white meat is bad then what do we replace it with ? Will end up eating nothing
@margebonaker1041 thanks for letting us know ,constantly told different things ,have found it all confusing wonder if Dr.amy knows this ?I have started to drink soya milk instead of cows milk ,so glad I changed it now !

Too any carbs and sugar increases risk of cancer, not prosciutto. Fibre is also not essential and neither are carbs

Agree. Carnivore (low carb) diet, lot of fat, lot of unprocessed meat, to loose weight.
she says that meat cause cancer though. As all meat is processed.....
