Thank you. Just made sense to do it that way! Today I spot welded in the side members and took the floor out to prep for welding! Should be the front end finished soon!

I admire your work, what a craftsmanship! With so many repairs, is it still worth to repair? The costs will overgrow the worth of the car?
Thank you. The build will likely outweigh the value of the vehicle but I don’t see why that’s a problem. When you buy a new car it depreciates and you lose money. When you join a golf club you don’t get your money back. In fact there aren’t many hobbies that cost nothing. And ultimately classic cars will likely go up in value so when the owner is done with it it may well be worth what they spend or more!
keep the faith, its only time, money, energy, hard work, frustration, sore muscles! But it will deffo be worth it.
Don’t forget the cuts and bruises too 🤣🤣 I really enjoy these big projects and there’s light at the end of the tunnel now!
Looking at the whole thing so far, I think less than 50% of the original sheet metal remains. What a rotten car!
I think it’ll be much closer to 80% new metal when done!
