Just wow, you made that look so easy, I know it can't be unless you have real experience, this a professional at work here, thanks for posting your work, I have learned a bit. I like the sound track too!
Panel damage from hail and hitting kangaroo's common where I live, but the only corrosion you're likely to see is in a battery tray. I suppose you get lots of experience with rot on salted UK roads. Admire your skill and attention to detail. Looking forward to watching your progress with the 912.
It’s funny what people struggle with in different areas isn’t it 😅. Unfortunately you’re right, cars like to rust here. The problem with a lot of classics here (particularly British ones) is that they’ve had loads of patch work over rust to get them through MOTs over the years. I’d much rather restore a rusty but unwelded car rather than a broken patchwork quilt!!
It’ll certainly keep me busy for a while! The client is super excited now the project has started and has a lot planned for the build! Can’t wait to get the shell solid again so we can get stuck into the exciting stuff!
you could literally drain your veg on those panels, they're in a shocking state...that's some great fabrication work again.!...I'm learning using a flux core welder and it's completely unforgiving if there's any gaps in your butt joints..burn through central ! 😂...
WHY??? Great work and craftsmanship but why? What a piece of shit. I know you are getting paid but why would someone even want to spend bad money? Probably spend $125K on a $50 car doesn't compute...
To some people (and most of our customers) it’s not always about the cost of the build or resto. It’s about the end result and getting the car they’ve always dreamed of. That aside I would always recommend buying the most solid and original car (within reason) as a base as panelwork is labour intensive and expensive.
Also why do these things always have to make financial sense? Buying a new car doesn’t make financial sense, it’ll depreciate. Joining a golf club doesn’t make financial sense. Just saying

Thank you, I really appreciate it! I hope you enjoy the rest of the videos on the 912 as much as this one !
Great work again. Love these concise restoration videos, they are addictive.👍
Thank you! Really glad you’re enjoying them, makes it worth the effort!
Wow, that's a lot of fantastic work. Great you are bringing another early 911 back to life.
Thank you! Really looking forward to getting stuck into the metal on this one
Great as ever. Those doors take me back to doing mine which were like that in 1988!
Thank you 🤙🏻 That’s bad isn’t it!! 20(ish) years old and to be in that condition!
You’re a bloody genius mate 👌
Ha that’s very kind mate thank you 🙏

Are you sure that's a German car, it looks more like swiss cheese 🧀😁 looks like it's gunna be another top notch job.
😂😂 hopefully not too long and it’ll be less Swiss more German!

I suggested that to the wife but wouldn’t fit in the kitchen drawer 🤣! I’ve never used flux core myself, it looks like a pain! Go with gas if you can!
дякую, далі буде лише смачніше.)
Glad you enjoyed it
