GUILD WARS 2: The Untamed - Detailed Class Guide [End of Dragons Ranger Elite Spec]

This is an up to date Guild Wars 2 guide covering everything you need to know about the Untamed, which is an elite specialization of the Ranger. This video shows off all of the weapons the Untamed can use and looks at all of the individual weapon skills. It also has a look at all of the healing, utility & elite skills the Untamed has at it's disposal. It then goes on to look at the elite specialization for the Untamed and what each individual trait does for your character. The video finishes with a short combat demonstration with a basic Untamed build so you can see what it looks like when it all comes together.

Thanks for explaining, this specialization looks amazing. On one side super strong glass canon that transforms into tanky brusier when caught.
This will be the reason to buy the expansion for me, finally DPS side will be even stronger. Druid was a support and soulbeast wasnt really good for ranged dps and took my pet away which was tanking/stunning enemies so I never used it, there was no elite spec that would fit me untill now.

I never play GW #1, so I'm probably wrong, but I thought that bunny thumper was something like a class with a lot of targeting skills that let you do massive jumps towards your enemy, smashing your hammer down on them. So I was hoping this class would have a lot of flashy movement abilities. Basically, Imagine the will bender elite spec but as a hammer welding ranger instead. You jump in, do some serious melee damage, and then would jump back to where you started before the attack.

I am unsure about this one. Didn't play bunnythumper, but have been fighting one in jade quarry pvp in gw1. I like the focus on the pet and the interaction between the player and the pet. Wished the 3 skills were petspecific and enhanced versions instead of 3 of an unknown pet. I assume ranger unleashed also affects hammer skills only. so if you are using anything else you are losing out on dmg potential. But it still allows a lot more combos with regular pet command abilities so it might be more powerful than I thought.

Untamed is a letdown for me. TBH all I want from range is a rifle, with a rifle I would even play just core ranger.

Allows you to play an aggressive melee role with very strong defensives and non-stop AoE. It is exactly what I wanted

Should have kept a range aspect for the ranger class. Going full melee ... Other pure melee classes can do the job better. Using a rifle , sniper , etc , not melee . Meh...

The real issue I have is... Ranger? **HAMMER**??? Seriously? Since when the eph does ANY Ranger use a @$%% HAMMER, ffs!??! Rangers are bows and swords.
