Saving as SVG to illustrator works well when the design is solely vector base. If you want to export something like a poster which involves text and photos from Affinity to illustrator, it is better to export it in pdf or eps. But mind you, you need to rasterize effects which are not compatible with illustrator. Pdf will keep the text editable. EPS on the other hand will convert the text into curves
Thank you so much! I don't like adobe and I didn't use illustrator since my school years in 2010 (and it was obligatory) so if I ever have to send a vector file, I now know what not to do!
So I can only export to Illustrator as pure vectors without effects etc.? Because even when exporting as PSD editable files, Illustrator will still not recognize them as separate vector files but will rasterize them, is that correct? Thank you!

hey glad to hear that! I don't like Illustrator too
Could you share that document with the summarized instructions?
Hi Tedd, the pdfs made are posted on our group and the design school www.vectorizeclub.com
I use Affinity since day one!! Although, the advantage of Adobe Brushes is that you can “expand” brushes to vectors, but not in affinity.

thank you!
Thank You !
You're welcome!
Great job Jhonatan!
Yes, shame on Adobe! I am tired of horrible companies like them.
Are PDFs the same?
pdf cause some extra problems I'd say, mainly with clippings, I suggest always svg if possible
Affinitys Vector Brushes aren't vector yet.
They are pixel based. Thats why importing
brush strokes from/to illustrator doesn't work.
Thanks.
How are you Peking with a sure sm7b turn your mic down dude
