Hello Bob and Jenny + Poppy! It was great to see you there ( I was the guy who stopped to say hello and had the 2 crazy Golden Retrievers) Hope you had a great stay. I'll keep an eye out for you on other sites. Great to meet/see you in person! Best wishes Peter!
Lovely site that is Great parking to large pitches Great shower and toilet facilities look really immaculate I’m worried with this Covid thing but I would definitely use those As long as you use anti back gel frequently I think you would be okay And I love the new van as well Great choice very smart And I love the videos I’m watching three a night Great viewing Stay safe on your travels Kind regards Dave
We’re out in our first motorhome and drove up to Harlech north wales. Caravan and camping affiliated site. Very nice. We’ve been looking at your old videos. Picking up tips and tricks and ideas to plan our trips thanks guys I love York May do that one. To ❤️
What a coincidence we passed you on your way to the site. At 2 minutes 41 seconds that’s us in our Hymer! This is the site we use to store our motorhome. Glad you like the facilities, sorry to hear about the thunder flies. Good to see that Poppy has her own chair! 😊👍
Hi there you three...weve been there lots of times ..we love it ..we also just came back from there sister sight naburn lock which is the other side of york mixed adults and children with a separate adults only part and you can catch the river bus into York from the river bank which was great..enjoy..xx🤩🤩
Lovely video Bob and Jenny. The park looks nice and only 40 minutes from home for us, definitely going to try this one. Kirkham Abbey is beautiful and the Stone Trough pub just up the road on the left is a great place for a spot of lunch. 👍🚐
Nice site. We have enjoyed all the Tranquil Park sites so far. Sue said that’s a shower for two 👍🏻 So Trev is definitely booking this one 🤣 Oscar approved for the doggie walk. We had flying ants last weekend and we used the zapper and a vacuum cleaner to get rid. Have a great time in York 👍🏻🚐 Trev n Sue
Hi Bob n Jenny We were there with our caravan a couple weeks ago on pitch 7 Great site - recommended it to Carefree Caravanning Handy bus stop and only 15 mins into York Plus a great chippy couple miles away Google Jim Collis fish and chips - with an Indian take away opposite Thanks for the vlog Regards Howard
Hi Bob & Jenny we stayed there about two years ago site was good shower room toilet were massive just lock the door then you have so much room to your self We used the express bus outside day one to York on day next day went to Leeds next day Scarborough next day Whitby then final day to Bridlington express bus was excellent and we had our old age free national bus pass it cost nothing to travel with our dog as well Thanks Dave
I was just about at the back of the pitch. The trouble is I had a short hose, the water point is on the other side, and I think I wanted to use the mains filling kit!
Thanks. I was interested to see this as I’ve passed the site several times on the bus when visiting relatives in the area and have always wondered whether it might be a good place to stay. Might book a few days there next year
Go to Sands of luce holiday park Next because its awesome it's super relaxing and it has a huge 7 mile beach with some of the softest sand ever. 🌴🌊🌴❤️⛱️❤️🌴🌊🌴
We have been going for six years, just a forty minute drive away for us. We used to go 5 or 6 times a year, but the price has steadily crept up from £27 a night, it’s just cost me £119 for three nights. Apparently next year they are adding £3 on top a day for electric (in the price they say) and then you pay extra if you use too much, so could possibly be anywhere between £43 -£45 a night. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very nice site, bus stop just across the road, lovely shower/toilet block but as new pensioners we won’t be paying that so unfortunately will start looking elsewhere…😔
York is renowned for traffic jams at all the roundabouts. I was worried someone would cut in from the outside lane to jump the queue. It seems to be a bad year for insects, at least the swallows enjoy a bumper crop for the fledglings. An incentive after arriving and getting quickly set up is a generous measure of malt, I can't cope with beer as I get tipsy too quickly, each to their own I suppose. Guy.
By gum that’s expensive tyvm for the breakdown of price , it is very helpful . You enjoy it , that’s what your retirement is for , but it’s way too dear for me . I would have fainted if we had just rolled up to find that cost 🤔 , so thank you .
Bob Earnshaw Yes Bob And Jenny , But we stayed at an Exclusively for Caravan Club site opposite Queuelane Castle 🏰. It was marvellous , overlooking Ailsa Craig and Arran and Ayr . What a lovely site quiet and private , as I am shielding , waking up to that the sea 🌊 and Panoramic Views , we had meant to only stay for one night , but we couldn’t pull ourselves away . We ended staying for 4 days and I was sad to leave . We didn’t want to go but we had pressing matters the NC 500 and John O Groats . It was £12 a night in high season , and the people couldn’t be nicer . Mrs Mc Fadden was so helpful because you had to book through the CCC really . A nervous young mother was there with her son and her little tent ⛺️. So the farmer placed her in a sheltered place near their house and hedge because heavy rain 🌧 was due . A guy called John fixed our electrics on the back of our little Rambling Rose 🌹 caravan . I was so moved by the kindness , the peace and tranquility of the site and those who ran it . They didn’t charge others extra for leaving after 2 p m . Hard standing , Electric ⚡️ for £36 for 4 days . We are going to get another small caravan to return for a longer period next time . So , it’s horses for courses I guess !
@@BobEarnshawMoHo You only needed to fill the van's fresh water tank, right? Then you could turn the van around again. I'm no expert, but I thought you drove over the waste water collection point you showed us, to empty waste water. Although I do understand you could run a hose to the drain on your pitch. I'm not trying to be fasechist, I was simply trying to offer a simple solution to your short hose problem. I'm in the market for a van myself and have thoroughly enjoyed your excellent reviews, for which I cannot thank you enough.
Thank you, yes you are correct, but we were there for three days and I thought was easier to use the mains supply kit, so I didn't need to keep turning the van round, to fill up or empty. It's the first time I had a reason to use the mains filling kit and the first time my hose didn't reach the tap. Hope that explains.
for the thunderbugs get a cheap hi viz vest and hang it somewhere away from you they will flock to it, as an ex telecomms contractor who used to have to wear them i know it works they think your a big daisy.
Welcome to this Premiere UA-cam video scheduled for 18:00 BST, that means we will be able to chat live whilst the recorded video plays. Enjoy.

Hi Bob and Jenny really liked the look of this site. Might look at it later this year, after the Midge season has finished. Cheers P&J
Looks a nice site. I like the individual toilet/shower system, especially considering the current situation. Hope you enjoy your stay.
Looks a nice site, thanks for sharing

Nice park.
Hi both, hope you’re ok,great vid as always, when you were filling the water could you not have just reversed up a bit further

Hi Bob Have you ever tried a Ribbon water hose, takes up a lot less room and long enough to always go from tap to Van! Just a thought. Cheers Bill
I have one, just haven't needed it for a while, so it's stuck in the shed!
Go to
Sands of luce holiday park
Next because its awesome it's super relaxing and it has a huge 7 mile beach with some of the softest sand ever. 🌴🌊🌴❤️⛱️❤️🌴🌊🌴
Beth Corcoran where is that ?
Vsupremacy its just outside the village of sandhead on the galloway coast south of stranraer
I wild camp most of the time with ease i use a site to refresh the van.
Nice video Jenny and Bob, thanks. Hate those pesky flies. Did those shower/loos have any heating?
I don't know but I would be surprised if they didn't. Don't need heating this weather!

Hi both, great vids.got a quick question. We're do you get you outside seats from? I'm after one. Cheers
Think you mean the Oztent King Goanna seats. Think I ordered them from Oztent www.oztent.co.uk/acatalog/King-Goanna-Chair-37.html#SID=16
Cheers
@Keith Mak ta
You will enjoy Kirkham Abbey

It drives me mad all these roundabouts, great when you know which way to go, but don't get in the wrong lane. We went wrong twice getting there!
I'm due to travel up to York next friday. To Naburn. Is this the same site? Xxx
No this is nearer to the city.
Cathy Crowder Naburn Lock is YCP’s sister site.

Thanks, but it's the height of the season, fully serviced, adults only near a city.

That sounds lovely.
If you turned the van around for a few minutes, you could have filled up with the hose you had.
Lol, then the waste pipe wouldn't reach. No, the solution is, I will bring my longer flat hose in future.
