"Krsna slava" is the celebration of each family's patron saint, which is held on the holy day of the given saint. There is a very important Serbian tradition of celebrating it which goes back to ancient times.
During WWI, Serbia lost more than 1,25 million people (over 55% of the male population, about one third of the total population of the country).
