I wanted to add a bit to what you said. To anyone new to tarot. The energy that comes from your deck is the energy of the person who created it. Everything is aware of its own existence.. therefor the cards are aware of themselves but they aren't all knowing. They are an extension of YOU. They represent the phone you use to dial in with the cosmos, higher self, or w/e it is you connect with to get your information. Cleanse the cards like Maven said, to rid them of energy that does not benefit you or the accuracy of your readings. That being said, for anyone new to tarot, I recommend using the decks to get information from your higher self. The answers coming from your higher self are always in your best interest, always. Ask your higher self to energetically connect you "both" through the deck. The real magic always comes from you, not the cards.

Or maybe the cards are just a channel for the energy coming from a higher power and decifer by us.

I just got my first deck of oracle cards (I also ordered tarot cards but they're not here yet) and I am still a little questionable about this and I picked the first card while bonding with it and it said 'Trust the great mystery' and I am shook haha

Every evening I draw one card from a tarot deck and one card from an oracle deck. Then I have a journal; in the evening I write in the journal the meaning from the guidebooks (not exactly every word, but what speaks to me at the moment). Then I put the cards on my bedside table. Sleep. A day pass by. And either next evening or the evening after that I write in the journal what I have learned, what has happened in my life, that is connected with the meanings from the guidebook. Of course sometimes the same card comes up over and over; then I really have something to work with. And different days the same card can mean different things; I see different things in the images for example. /Henrietta.

I am known for wearing White Diamonds perfume. I infused my deck with that and also the pouch that they live in. I also chose my favorite material that speaks to me to make said pouch. Just a couple ways I've introduced myself to my new cards, and them to me. I also find that shuffling them makes me feel connected. Gee, I hope they like me too. 😂 Great video, thank you.
When I got new cards, I like to talk w/them, introduce myself, & say thank you to them before using. After that, I like to see the picture & detail on each card to make each of them get to know me & my energy. Your suggestion abt. sleeping w/them & carrying to let them see our lives is very interesting! I will do it! Thank you ❤️

I bought my first deck a few months ago, finally started reading for myself, and honestly... It's connecting with my life alot, I already feel like I'm bonding with it. I feel love from the cards.
I like doing a no reading shuffle with mine and watching how one or two fly out/pop out - absolutely love it. Lol. I carry and talk to my deck and palo Santo my BEST FRIEND. ⭐

Just slept with my new decks last night. They instantly brought me joy as I opened and touched them, made me want to spend more time with it but since I was tired to bed we all went.😁
I’ve been carrying my decks with me in my backpack/handbag since I got them and didn’t even know that I should. I just felt inclined to do so. I have Angel tarot and the Modern Witch tarot and I just ordered some Oracle cards from Amazon today! Thank you for such great information.

I'm bonding with my 1977 vintage Le Grand Jeu de Mlle Lenormand deck. It is obviously used. Very rare and very expensive and I feel that it's THE cartomancy of choice meant for me. I've been sleeping with it the past two nights and this afternoon's nap resulting in very intense but vivid dreams worth jotting down in my occult diary.

I also sometimes do a magic spell with the cards. I just keep it really simple and I also like to call on some of the spirits shown in the cards and try communicating with them. I also love using the colour your own tarot book. That really helped me connect with the Rws and some people reproduce the image on paper or with a tapestry. Some people cut the boarders off and edge it and use it a an oracle. Storing it in a way that's special to u is good. But yes great tips I always learn something from UA-cam

By the way, my personal ritual is to sleep with a new deck under my pillow for my favorite number of nights, 7... and to maintain the deck, cleanse it from time to time by putting the deck back in order from the Fool to the King of Pentacles and occasionally knocking three times on the deck whenever I feel its energy is low... I love how you explain the different ways to bonding, I went out and got a cheap deck I think it's called the spencer deck which was like my 6th or 7th deck from the rider waite smith decks and it wasn't but like 8 bucks. But this deck is so easy to read with for me, it being a mythological creature deck. This deck was a ways off from the Rider-Waite decks but I would love to see another deck like this. Whoever the artist was on this deck they did an amazing job on it for it's price.

Oh yeah I also have to add that when I use a deck it helps to ask it really intelligent questions that I really want to know about. That come from my centre. So centring and grounding helps and clearing excess mental energies before you use it with a brief meditation. And some people say don't ask the same question more than once hoping for a better answer, just record in journal what you initially got and review it. Also some people only do a reading once a month on the full moon and that can seem to give the messages I get more authority, but I actually use tarot and oracle cards almost everyday
Before learning about this i guess I was fortunate enough to have a fairly clean beginning deck. Really got some wisdom out of it

Before i ever watched this video i did hear about putting it under my bed. I cant remember the dreams but i do know i felt very tired that morning as if i had given it my energy the whole entire night. I also looked through the deck at my cards one by one. I loved the art for the lovers card and i felt very pulled by the devil card as i had grown up Christian. It gave me shivers despite me not considering myself a Christian anymore. So that was fun. I had some options at the store i got them from. I held them close to me with my eyes closed as to not be swayed by their art. I got the very common Rider Waite Tarot deck because of the feeling i got when i held it. It was subtle but i felt it grab hold of my heart.

I’m new to tarot. I’m still researching about tarot. So why do you have so many decks? Is that normal for a lot of experienced tarot readers?
From most I have seen and met including myself I'd say totally normal. Sometimes the attraction is there for the art only at first or for some that is all. But many of us sit years with our first deck/s before we actually make reading a regular thing. It's ok because you will know when you want to or should use them. If the time comes embrace when ready. Nothing about tarot is forced. If you don't feel the calling just enjoy the card collection,the art and one day when you have given them lots of love maybe you will find other young readers that you may feel an urge to gift cards to. Maybe your collection is meant to be given at some point. Or you maybe selling them in future..it's ok to make money😁 I'll share my very first deck was "found" because someone was kind enough to treat them with respect and not just throw them away when they didn't want them or maybe they knew it was for me so they left them out downstairs in my building 25 + yrs ago almost perfect condition first print orange snake back 1970 Aquarian tarot !!!! And I know they were supposed to be with me , didn't know much about them... Barely had internet but I knew something. Anyway they are about to have their 50 birthday and I'm so happy I received them and held on to them for decades now. Rarely do readings with them but my gosh the love I have for them....

The instructions said put it under your pillow but wrapped around using a silk or purple silk. Idk why purple but put it under your pillow for 7 days before using. Lol

What if you don't have the Guidebook?
Some guidebooks are available online or to be purchased separately. If not, go with standard meanings and use your intuition.
Could I use my pendulum? I always ask my pendulum to clean clear my deck then when it does I give it a good shuffle. Something told me to cleanse and clear my tarot that way and that’s what I have been doing seems to work for me

I have a deck that I bought when I was a teen (shadowscapes) but I haven't don't it I almost 10 years because life happened. I wanted to get a new deck that I feel more connected too . Should I get a new one? Or start again with the old.
Also could i use a deck of cards called the clow ( card captor sakura anime) to use as Oracle cards even thought they are used for eastern based readings?
I am not familiar with the clow deck, but if it resonates with you don't be afraid to work with it! As far as Shadowscapes, it was one of my very first decks. Work with whatever deck calls to you. If it's not Shadowscapes anymore, thats okay too :)

Nothing is ever a must love. Go with what feels right and good to you! You can use visualization with white light or words of intention to do the same thing.

If you mean you don't want to talk to dead people, then yes you can proceed like that.
To avoid unwanted interference you should cleanse your cards and yourself of negative energy and ground yourself before starting. Creating a ritual space is one way to focus and protect. If you think about 'energy' rather than spirits that's helpful. It's your own energy really. It's a balance of intellect and intuition you need.
