Having been living in Sydney for 10 years, I would say Brisbane is better suited for people who care more about work-life balance and quality of life, as It’s sunny, cheap, friendly and laid back. Sydney is expensive, busy and full of rude people, hungry birds and screaming alcoholics at Saturday nights.
simple but really useful video! i will move to Australia next month and i was worried about which city i should choose. But this confirm my desire for going to Brisbane. Thanks!
I think living in a city as a student isn't a great way to evaluate it. Also the Brisbane coastline isn't all mud flats ... Manly, Wynnum, Cleveland, Redlands, Sandgate, and Redcliffe are all swimable. Also the largest two marinas in the southern hemisphere; Manly and Gold Coast/Southport. Edit. Spelling
As someone who lives in Redland bay IMO, the Wynnum Manly Redlands area definitely has the best beaches in Greater Brisbane. But Brisbane is overall a really bad place to move to for people from dry climates because the humidity ranges from annoying to debilitating.
@@beenwk4194 the humidity is a factor but it's not everyday. I reckon half the summer (cumulatively) is ok to great, the other half is oppressive but that's where water and aircon are your friends. 35 degrees and a pool (with a beer) equals awesomeness. And it's net over a year. Judging brissy on the summer months isn't fair. It would be like judging Melbourne on winter only ... that's ridiculous. Brissy is mostly great 8 months a year and 4 months of very hot (outside). And about 2 months of quite uncomfortable to oppressive. Mostly the second half of summer, say Feb and March. I think there's a real mistake that brissy is also considered by its cbd and 10km radius but that's not brissy... not even 5% of it. In fact looking at a map the greater/metro area clearly shows it is a coastal city with a river running through the middle of it 😁
My son lives in Australia moved there about 22 years ago trained to be a chef is now a head chef at a golf club wish I move out there I'm to old that's life
Excellent assessment from someone who has lived in both places! Wynnum in Brisbane has a small child friendly beach and since we have small friendly child, we are headed back there.
One of the things that has got under my skin a little since moving to Australia many years ago is when people move hear for the good things & then want to change it to what they have escaped from.

Quite surprising of myself how i am,a 15 year old german boy who loves Australia, watches a video about where to live in Australia😅 Just love the climate and the people (even tough i had never vacation there and i often ask my parents to do one time a long-distance-flight with me,we already flew 18 times lol) Yeah,i don't think it is like your venomous spider is your neighbour like everyone thinks of this country. But thanks for this video,it has many details and so on. Just a note you could show a photo of f.e a park when it comes to the topic climate. Again, greetings from Germany!
Good video, however, I think maybe you're referring to London rather than the U.K as a whole. I grew up in both Devon & Cornwall and folk would certainly show concern if you were being sick in public. Just an observation 😁

Totally agree 💯
the worst thing in Brisbane is hot and humid in summer.

Be warned summer is not nice.. high humidity heat 🥵 and no daylight savings
Thank you! Very interesting and helpful! Uk-Oz and deciding if we want to go to sunshine coast, Brisbane or Sydney..
No problem! Glad you found it helpful.

Glad you enjoyed it Tad!
Queensland has the best beaches in Goldcoast
Nope. Sunshine Coast is better. Why the heck high rise buildings on the Gc?

Hi! Can you do Brisbane vs Adelaide? Planning to relocate soon. Thanks ❤
Thanks for the suggestion. It is on my list!
The best thing about Sydney is the road out.
Fair enough, ha ha!
Thanks!

Ah, shame you didn’t move out here. Hope your son is enjoying it here!
fun fact: gravity is stronger in north australia which would explain the slower pace :)
That must be it!

Thank you! I've never heard of Wynnum, but it sounds lovely.

Yes, you've got to embrace the Aussie lifestyle and fully enjoy it.
weather is different and temperature is different
Can you please make a Brisbane vs Melbourne video? 🙂
Thanks for the suggestion!
both are full of bugs, rain and humidity
Why are ‘Queerslanders’ so well balanced?……Because they have a giant chip on ‘both’ shoulders.
Where is the graph for comparison thanks 🌹

Thanks. Yes I specifically meant London with the vomiting! As Sydney’s the largest city in Australia I was comparing the two.
I never been in Australia but I think Brisbane Is better
Bruh I’d rather live in Sydney seeing a nice blue harbour than a brown water
He he, yes Sydney Harbour is beautiful!
sydney is way to busy
If you have a view of it from your home, then yes. But if you don't live near it, then its a fairly moot point.
