This was the best narrative about MARILYN'S LIFE. The complete woman who needed to be loved,understood. And yet she really did not know how to love. The camara was her true love affair. That is when she was the real Marilyn. So many of her movies I have watched,not only was her body language speaking to you but THE EYES. She and Betty Davis could preform and communicate with the " eyes "...in my humble opinion, the best. I did not realize that she was so well read. You pay a high prise for being beautiful and SMART.
Marilyn was the most photogenic actress who lit up like a sun all the places she went. Her fragility, her empathy for others and her search for a father in each partner she has had transpires from your personality. Her "woman-child" side made her an adorable woman. She perfectly knew how to give Hollywood what Hollywood expected of her; nevertheless unfortunately many have taken advantage of its fragility and generosity.
And her multiple early sexual abuses as a young teen set her up for a hyper-sexuality without any tools about what a ‘forever’ trusting relationship could even be. You've done an amazing job and it's a very interesting documentary, but I'd like to point out that there is no way Marilyn could be named after Jean Harlow, even though her mother did like the actress and Jean inspired Marilyn a lot. Jean was born in 1911, and when Marilyn, or Norma Jeane, was born in 1926, Harlow was only 15. Harlow's career began in 1928-1929. Regardless, Marilyn was an amazing, strong woman whose life was cut short when she had so much more to offer. As for my favorite film of hers, I can easily name several. I love Some Like It Hot, it's my favorite movie of all time, although I'd say that Jack Lemmon is just as much of a star, if not a little more so, his performance is hilarious while Marilyn is ever so charming. I also love Don't Bother to Knock for showing us that Marilyn was capable of playing more serious roles, just like she did in Niagara (not Nicaragua) and, in a way, The Prince and the Showgirl (a script of her choice) as clever and bold Elsie. And the unfinished Something's Got To Give takes a special place on my list because we see Marilyn at the top of her game, having come a long way as an actress and an artist, and yet she died before the film was finished, before she could give us more, show us what she had learned. I'm glad that the other remake of My Favorite Wife, Move Over Darling, was made. Doris Day is so lovely in it, and so funny too! But oh, do I wish we got to see the full version of Something's Got To Give.

she comes from a devastatingly low-end horrifying background.. yet she had the courage and strives to move on to achieve her dream. the things she had to go through to make up for her incomplete education and overcoming her weaknesses despite the fact that she was born a beautiful person. This aches my heart that her life was so inscure and miserable a lot of the times. The fact that she only received like $500 for regular salary while other smaller roles got paid whole lot more disgusts me.. getting bankrupt even after being famous. Wish her next life in heaven will be compensated for what she wasn't able to live in the past life.

I’m half way through this and still no discussion of her very serious addictions?! Sadly Marilyn’s addictions really screwed her up……uppers, downers and alcohol in amounts that would have killed the average person, causing her to cost the studios a fortune, not to mention making her weak and even more vulnerable to wolves….very similar to the Judy Garland saga……Her addictions changed her and I’m sure she wasn’t even aware of just how much of a dangerous line she had crossed….so sad and a waste of a truly talented, beautiful person…….we are very fortunate in this modern world to “stand our ground” in the face of sexual harassment…
One video talked about how celebrities would be prescribed these dangerous drugs and they just trusted their doctors and didn't question them. People of that day were naive to drug addiction. It wasn't a known thing yet.
So it's really the fault of Rockefeller funded medicine. Even doctors today don't realize the dangers they do to patients because they're trained this way. "The institution say it's okay, so it must be okay" type of thinking.
Her addiction started because she had terrible insomnia, then escalated due to her anxiety & unhappiness with being treated as a dumb blonde, one trick pony when she wanted to be a serious actress. Addiction is often due to trying to numb emotional pain, a very dysfunctional coping strategy.
I like the movie she star with Victor Michael in movie “the river of no return”she sings and acted naturally. A good wife and mother, no just a dump blond.

She had a very sad life. Loved by millions, but no real happiness in her personal life. She was beautiful, terrific comedy timing,, and she under estimated and used by many men. So sad that many actresses had to deal with the casting couch. A beautiful woman that worked in Hello Dolly came into the restaurant that I worked at. Her date a man that could have been her grandfather. She told me that he's helping her career;.So he was using her, by saying he could get her a role in a movie. So glad that because of the "Me too" movement, actresses are speaking out about the casting couch. Marilyn didn't realize how good she was as an actress. The coroner said that she didn't have any drugs in her stomach and there was a needle site on her body. That sounds pretty fishy to me. Also her death notice was late. Giving someone time to go through her possessions to make sure that there wasn't anything suspicious to find.??:??
Someone at the scene said Dr Greenson put the injection in her when she was coming to consciousness. The guy at the scene said initially he thought it was an adrenaline injection.

You've done an amazing job and it's a very interesting documentary, but I'd like to point out that there is no way Marilyn could be named after Jean Harlow, even though her mother did like the actress and Jean inspired Marilyn a lot. Jean was born in 1911, and when Marilyn, or Norma Jeane, was born in 1926, Harlow was only 15. Harlow's career began in 1928-1929.
Regardless, Marilyn was an amazing, strong woman whose life was cut short when she had so much more to offer.
As for my favorite film of hers, I can easily name several. I love Some Like It Hot, it's my favorite movie of all time, although I'd say that Jack Lemmon is just as much of a star, if not a little more so, his performance is hilarious while Marilyn is ever so charming. I also love Don't Bother to Knock for showing us that Marilyn was capable of playing more serious roles, just like she did in Niagara (not Nicaragua) and, in a way, The Prince and the Showgirl (a script of her choice) as clever and bold Elsie. And the unfinished Something's Got To Give takes a special place on my list because we see Marilyn at the top of her game, having come a long way as an actress and an artist, and yet she died before the film was finished, before she could give us more, show us what she had learned. I'm glad that the other remake of My Favorite Wife, Move Over Darling, was made. Doris Day is so lovely in it, and so funny too! But oh, do I wish we got to see the full version of Something's Got To Give.

Poor Marilyn,feel so sad for her ! She so wanted stronger roles but was denied ! There was so much more to her than looks but sadly the male dominant industry only saw women as objects. May you find much true 💕 love and peace on the other side norma jean
Bus Stop was a very challenging role. Marilyn did a great job of it.
MM is a great example that orphans can find success that you can make it without anyone. You only need to have that crazy drive, work ethic and determination.
