@@gloriajanik1981 Thank you Gloria for your comment but number one you do not have a lot of money because as I’ve said many many times before I am a retired school teacher. Now I may seem to have a lot of money if you come from another country such as Nigeria or Cameroon etc. etc. but I do not have a lot of money. And I don’t believe the lady in Australia said anything about leaving her kids she said it was a dream of hers but she still has her children to raise. And that’s exactly what happened to me I came here in 2018 and I was going to move here but I still had a daughter that needed to get out of college so I had to stay. Hi Janice. I hope you are as happy as I am living here in France. I lived in Paris and then moved to Bordeaux and then to Fountainbleau. Fountainbleau is such a cute, little city and everyone was very nice and I loved the chateau. I did move there a few months before lockdown, so I didn't get the full experience for very long. Just something to consider... if you want to do frequent trips into Paris to explore and travel to other countries Fountainbleau may not be the best home base. The travel by bus and then train each time to go to Paris to explore or catch flights and trains is not the most convenient. You might consider a town connected directly to an RER into Paris such as Versailles or Saint Germaine en Laye. Bonne chance.
I certainly have considered it like this morning I’m going to Versailles so I have to get up early because if I lived a little closer I could pick a choose another train etc. etc. etc. but in the long-haul it’s Fontainbleau for me
Hi Janice. Just came across your UA-cam channel today. We have much in common. My husband and I are planning to retire from Naples, FL to Nice, France, in spring 2024, when we are both 70. I actually created my UA-cam channel to eventually share my journey on this process and our new lives adjusting to a new life in France, filling in temporarily with our travels elsewhere. You are blazing the trail on the move to France! You have already saved me some research on a few things. I look forward to watching all of your videos. 🙂
Well please let me know if I can help in anyway. By the time you make the move I may know a little bit more hopefully anyway. I would love to see your UA-cam channel let me know what the name of it is and I will visit you

You showed up on my feed as my husband and I are considering a move to France. I have two cats and I’m very nervous about the flight with them so I hope you will share tips with us. I wish you all the best on your new journey in 🇫🇷
I had a cat and a dog but you certainly can take two cats one will have to be handled by your husband and the other one with you unless they’re small enough and go into one crate. I would advise you to do that nonstop flight. I regret not doing that but I thought it was going to be easier on the animals but it turned out not to be. I’m not sure where you’re traveling from but I was traveling from Atlanta so it would’ve been an eight hour trip and they could’ve gone eight hours but what they ended up doing was a lot more than just eight hours. So that would be my tip for you. Of course I have to have paperwork from the vet and they have to have a current Raby shot within a certain amount of time there’s some videos of done on this so anyway if you need any extra help our inspiration or just a little shot in the arm to do what you need to do let me know

I just took a cafe writing in Paris class with Patricia Tennison who is a part time Parisian and a part time Chicagan. My travel partner and I spent 10 days Between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2021. It was the first trip since covid and we were wild to be at the Hotel Jeanne D'Arc.our home away from home in the Maris. We enjoyed the Christmas Market, found new favorite restaurants and the nearby Monoprix that we love for a baguette and inexpensive bottle of wine. We did some Christmas shopping, I did a lot of writing. It was a joy to be baxk!

My daughter, my son-in-law, and granddaughter live in Paris and I can't wait to be near them and be in the city I love! When you are in Paris perhaps we can meet for lunch. I love your positive attitude. Let's keep in touch!
My name is janice
When you get to Paris let me know and we can have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine

Sounds good! I've visited Paris since 2009 for months at at time. I would love to meet someone my age to have coffee with and good conversation. I don't want to intrude on my daughter's life. I want to be a support to her. I have some friends over there. Particularly, Jacqueline, who is French. She's a delight. She speaks very good English and she is very funny. Anyhow, I would like to meet a nice French man, as well, for companionship. Thank you for responding! Look forward to life ahead.
@@justranda1 Hello! Shall we all keep in touch? I should be in Paris, God willing, by April. It would be fun to meet for coffee or wine!
I am also moving to Paris in April! How funny to find this video and all these posts of other women my age doing the Same thing. We should meet for drinks for sure! And start a network.. Everyone has something fun and new to bring to the table. C u in Paris.
You give me hope! Age doesn't define what we have to do in each decade of our lives.
No it certainly does not
Just when I thought I needed To surrender cause it's to late to make my dreams come true you gave me a reason to change my mindset, having health issues also keep me down. I'm so exited to have gotten to your channel to try to figure out and realize it's our mindset the one stopping me from growing and moving forward to change my lifestyle.

Hello Trinity, how are you doing?
Hello Janice, how wonderful it is to have found your channel. I'm delighted to see someone with so much resolve without much concern for age. I will soon be 75 but do not look the age. I adore France and would do anything to live there. I have already subscribed and will follow you around while settling up there and all other trips as you make your life's dream come true. Immensely happy for you. I've playing with the idea of moving but I'm married and my husband doesn't seem to want to make the move.
Hi 👋 Clarita, how are you doing?
Yes I know what that’s like. Before my husband passed away in 2012 we had been talking about moving to France. He absolutely hated France but he said he would move to Italy… So we were going to have to have a compromise. I do understand please continue to follow me and if I can be of any help in anyway please let me know

Bonjour Janice! Can’t wait to share your adventures in France, and how brave you are to take this massive step. My ideal would be to live in France for 6 months and then come back to Australia for the rest of the year. To me that would be the best of both worlds. Take care and enjoy yourself🇦🇺
Well I think you want to try it
you can't just up and leave your kids ...you have to be single and have a lot of money
We understand that moms have to do what moms have to do but we also can dream. Thank you for your comment I just wanted to make sure that you understood what she was saying. I also wanted to make sure you know that I’m not rich. If I were rich I would be living in Paris

Thank you so much for your kind words Wendy and have a great weekend

Of course I have to have paperwork from the vet and they have to have a current Raby shot within a certain amount of time there’s some videos of done on this so anyway if you need any extra help our inspiration or just a little shot in the arm to do what you need to do let me know
Awww I love you!!! You're such an inspiration and absolutely beautiful!!! Looking forward to joining you on your journey!!
