Indi, and yourself doing the wonderful countryside of Your beautiful homelands justice(albeit slightly damp). Thanks for sharing OT, always so lovely to see you guys wending your way through verdant Green to a great camp.. superb steak sandwich and love the sound of the river.ATVB2U. Scott Somerset England
Thanks for another great (and different!) video! The snow is deep here, so watching this is a treat. I wonder about not allowing dogs in national parks in NZ although I think I can understand why. Seems a shame though. Here we can have our dogs with us as long as they are on a lead. Glad Indie could join you for this one 🙂.
Brrr 🥶 sounds chilly where you are. Yes it’s a shame not to be able to take Indi everywhere but then we live in a very unique ecosystem with some very fragile species and it’s good to preserve and protect them, so I do understand the reasons.
Hi Cathy & Indi 👋 Vivian here ..... Another ENJOYABLE Vid 👍💯 Nvr give up....... [1 of many things my Beloved Mom always told her kids] May she RIP! Keep 'em coming 😍💋♥️Indi Till then ✌️ 😎
Really enjoyed it. Very jealous of your tarps. I've a smaller Vango one, which does, but I've been checking to see what larger ones you can get in NZ. Indie is such a lovely, calm dog.
Thanks. Never used to be many options but you can buy most tarps online now and I’m seeing more and more varied brands popping up in NZ outdoor stores.
Hello :) If there was ever a channel, that helped with relaxation and happiness .... yours does it!! Thank you , and best wishes from The North Island :)
New Zealand a beautiful place , my late Grandmother wanted to vist this country , now I know why , thank you , for sharing , more blessings ,,, sounds of wind , rain and birds singing , most of al frash air
Now that’s what I call a steak sandwich. Understand how you feel about solitude and feeling comfortable. It’s good to see others enjoying the fresh air, but not in the same place as yourself! Great new video by the way.
Yes there is something very special about knowing you won’t be bothered and gave the place to yourself. So hard to get down time in this modern world. 🙂
Winter here in South Western Pennsylvania. Always lookin for your next adventure. They are very inviting. I watch several UA-camrs that provide camping content like yours. As a new camper, seeing how you set your equipment up in various configurations and locations is informing.. I just retired and will begin to camp more than the 5 or 6 times a year that were available in the last 2 years in my previous "productive member of society" role that I was forced to do for 42 years. Thanks for your efforts in recording your adventures. I will be patterning mine similarly.
I think that your persistence paid off very well this time Kathy. You didn't find the right spot at first but you found a pretty nice alternative. Good on you for continuing to keep your focus on long enough to accomplish salvaging your journey. Thank you for sharing your and Indies adventure with us, I will see you on the next one. Enjoy the outdoors.
@@adventureot most welcome beautiful take care. Love to see your beautiful camping video i always watching all new one and old day by day. Good night from fiji island
Your right if it doesn't feel right you should go home but I'm glad you found somewhere else you have a beautiful country it reminds me of my home country of Scotland indi is as gorgeous as ever thank you for another video and thank god you didn't spill your coffee I remember the video where you spilled your coffee while trying to get away from the annoying ducks lol I felt your pain I couldn't go without my morning coffee keep up the great videos love from Scotland
😂 oh yes, who could forget those ducks?! So annoying. I’ve heard Scotland and NZ share some similarities. I’ve not been to visit but hope to one day. My grandfather grew up there.
Like your videos alot, you are very good at rigging up your tarp!.gives me some good ideas for some of my tarp setups..thanks for taking us along 😀 😊..Stay safe out there..!
An incredible video!! I so liked your comments at the end about the coffee ritual in the morning when you’re camping. I always have those. My heart ached with your conversations with Indi at the end and you’re getting ready to pack up. I’m in the States so it’s Winter for us now but come Spring I’m going to miss those conversations with my Lab mix who has crossed over the rainbow bridge. Indi gave me my dog fix tonight. Thank you! Happy New Year to you Cathy!
That is a cute tent. I'm sure you can find a creative way to make the tarp have an overhang. And I would have moved from the first spot too. Ear scritches and hugs to Indi!
Yes I think you are right. I was so tired by then and couldn’t be bothered 😆 but I think I could make it work with a bit of tweaking and get it so it has an overhang 👍
Hi from Dallas. Looks like you were barefoot walking around brushing your teeth. Does your area not have grass-burrs or stickers? Or nuisance items like ticks, fleas, etc that could bite or sting your feet in the tall grass?
Hi Cathy. Always love your vids, thanks! About how long does it take to pack up everything? (In real time, of course!). Also, that passion fruit looked amazing. Yum! Does it grow there?
I think about 15min, or there abouts. We can grow passion fruit in the north of the north island. It’s hit and miss further south, I’ve always failed due to frosts 😭
From time to time. During the summer I’m up in his neck of the woods so you might recognise some areas as similar. I make a point of never stealing his spots tho 😂
Good on you for sti king to your plan , not cool to have others In your space, seen a german camping and Bush craft influencers get mentaly and physically threatened by randoms , I pray it doesnt happen to you and Indie . Suppose sollt season you gotta expect this to happen happy new year
@@adventureot Oh I didnt know I have only been to Australia and the outback. We were at the Anglo Australian telescope and they warned us about the little black snakes that like to lie on the hot road surface lol
Yes, I recall the same warnings in South Africa. If you are out walking in the early evening or early morning the snakes are often curled up on rocks trying to draw warmth from them.
Plan B went very well. I knew you would not abandon the mission. You feast better in the field than me at home. Fantastic.
😄 you are getting to know me then. I usually don’t give up.
@@adventureot Exactly.
Bedankt
You are so welcome. Thank you for the support. 🥰

I really like the ideal how did you’re camping with the net tent. Love. Louise Canada

Another great spot ❤ Lov the both of you ! For what ever you need 🫶🏼 lots of love from Germany 🇩🇪
Thank you, thank you 🙏🏻 I have my eye on a few things. This will really help.
Don't apologize for river in background, it sounds good and relaxing!!
That's good to know. After hours and hours of hearing it while I edit, its hard for me to tell.
Great hiking and camping. The nature is so beautiful here 😊

Did you have to deal with sandflies?
Ohhh yes 😭
@@adventureot You handled them well, then. I hear they're ferocious! I really enjoy your channel!

Oh yes! 👍

Hi, do you camp in the same area in NZ as Tony from AB camping?
From time to time. During the summer I’m up in his neck of the woods so you might recognise some areas as similar. I make a point of never stealing his spots tho 😂
Love your videos, I thought I recognized some of the lovely locations.
Good on you for sti king to your plan , not cool to have others In your space, seen a german camping and Bush craft influencers get mentaly and physically threatened by randoms , I pray it doesnt happen to you and Indie . Suppose sollt season you gotta expect this to happen happy new year
Eeek that’s not cool, poor guy. Yip fingers crossed.
Oh, bare feet. What about snakes etc. Fortunately in Northern Ireland we don't have that problem. 😊
We are lucky here too, no snakes. There were bees in that grass but I ran the gauntlet none the less.
