For me, this was the strongest lineup Kittie has ever had. They all got along, musicianship was at its finest. They really pushed past being “that all girl metal band”.
They’re much more mature now. They were teens when they started and when Talena was around. So if the issues would’ve happened now as adults, maybe the outcome would’ve been different.
Man these girls were the shit!!! I think they were ahead of their time. They would've been bigger if they were on the scene now. Too bad..I will just enjoy what we have of them....\m/
Summer Dies was my favorite song of this setlist, I love how Mercedes harmonized with Morgan during the chorus, that song is just a masterpiece ❤ The Funeral For Yesterday album is extremely underrated, it's my favorite album in their discography

They are releasing a DVD called Origins/Evolution that's an anniversary of sorts. It was supposed to be a 20th year anniversary, however due to difficulties such as director replacements- it's taking a little longer than expected. They just did a show at the end of October with a career spanning set. They had Tara and Ivy perform first for the albums 'I've Failed You' & 'In the Black'. Next they had Jennifer "Jenncity" Arroyo and Jeff perform 'Oracle' & 'Until the End'... The best was when they had the OG Kittie lineup from 1996- Fallon Bowman, Tanya Candler, Morgan & Mercedes Lander. It was awesome seeing Fallon playing "Choke" and Tanya singing "Paperdoll" (she's the one who wrote it and originally sang it. To see the performances, you can head over to Kittie's Facebook page or search "Kittie 2017" on UA-cam. They did an awesome tribute to Trish Doan- the Asian bass player who passed away last year. They dedicated "Funeral for Yesterday" to her with only Tara on acoustic and Morgan and Mercedes both standing and singing their hearts out.
