Thanks for making this video. It's very helpful to learn how to fly this great bird! A cool thing I noticed that I had never seen before is the sign in the radio operator's section: translated from Russian, it says, "Attention!!! The enemy is listening!"
Thanks for that information, it's cool to know. I do so much translating of Russian to English letter by letter I only do what I see I need to figure out what the hell is what in these cockpits. Figuring out how to make the Pe-2 easy to land was a pain as well. I was focusing on the 3 point landing for so long, then just said screw it and went for wheel landings :-) It's very nice to fly in general though.
The Air Combat Tutorial Library If you learn how to pronounce Russian words, you will notice that a lot of words sound very similar to their English counterparts, just like English does with many other languages as well. This unfortunately doesn't apply to plainer words like "speed" (скорость), but if you pronounce "температура" (which sounds like "temperatura"), it's self-explanatory. Though, you'd probably already guess it by the huge C°.
Thanks again for this series. Not enough mayhem to make your videos wildly popular, but deeply appreciated by those of us just trying to get these birds on and off the ground (without being victims of self-inflicted mayhem).
+RequiemBoS *For the Petljakov-2/3, I noticed that the pilot has a reflector sight.* What fixed guns or cannon would the Pe-2 pack in addition to the gimballed dorsal and ventral 12.7x108 Pulemjoti Berezina and dual-midship-flank 7.62x54R Pulemjoti Shpitalnogo e Komaret'skogo?
Thanks Supercalle, it is definitely plenty of fun. I flew as a gunner in one today and had a blast in the top turret. It certainly packs a punch against those 109s :-)
Just got the game and I cant get off the ground in this plane, stuck on the ground taxing in a circle, full rpm rads. At 30% throttle i dont move and slightly above that the plane acts like I left the right main parking break on. Im trying to upload a video that shows this issue, but in the mean time, please help!!
The Air Combat Tutorial Library Haha...yea...well you see, I’m so used to flying single engines, that when I throttled up and only saw my first engine notification, I didn’t think twice about it. I never had my right throttle bound to my joystick setup. Kinda hard to do anything on one engine lol
If it's not a control assignment problem then you're either: A - probably pulling back on the stick too early, so you're not getting to a high enough airspeed. B - Propeller RPM is not set to maximum

No worries Old Guard, thanks very much. Maybe I could livestream one day to add some mayhem, hopefully to a target and not against myself! :)
Great ...but I did watch it at -o,75 speed....mate take it easy jajaja😉👌
Good quality and clear Pe-2 control tutorial video (Means also other BoS tutorials), thanks.

Excellent tutorial as always. I'll be looking forward to trying this one out myself :)

I can never get the artificial horizon or the VSI to turn on in any of the game's planes?
Yeah they aren't functional yet, a lot of stuff is still WIP since its beta. It's due to be fully complete in September though.

Happen to have that video Kollider? Or did you figure out the issue...

@@Kollider115 my advice. Ditch half your fuel.
Very informative, thank you. :)
You're welcome Uncle Ork, there are a couple of things missing I couldn't figure out though unfortunately.
Muchas gracias un saludo desde Alcalá de Henares, Madrid.
De nada :-)
