Awesome car but needs an aftermarket exhaust so really sound as good as possible.
the kids want a louder exhaust and pops. the intended owners are probably older and want a quiet smooth ride that doesn't stand out too much as they drive. maybe they prefer to listen to classical music or opera as they crush the corners. i personally prefer music over exhaust. unless i had a ferrari or hyper car of course. that is the music. this car seems like its for the rich businessman.

What does it sound like in person? Does it have a growl/rumble/etc or is it more flat/raw like a Ferrari V8 (but obviously quieter lol).
It's not as raw as a Ferrari that is for sure but it has a deep rumble!
Great car in my opinion but not sure about the price. Anyways, awesome video to end the year!

How would you compare it to the 7 series?
These cars serve two different purposes, as an owner of a 2018 f90 M5, and a 2016 750i, I would say the 7 series is DEFINITELY the car you want to drive on a daily basis... It's quiet, smooth, Pacey, and just has every comfort imaginable. The M5 is the car you want for your weekend aggressive drives. I find that it's a very firm drive, you will feel every road imperfection through the steering wheel regardless if the comfort setting.
Probably the M8 competition would compete with the new Audi RS7 and with the Mercedes S63 coupe.

tolles kfz keine frage. preis nicht nachvollziehbar. das innenleben/ technik ist ja komplett vom m5 f90 übernommen. ausser der verstellbaren bremse die der m8 dem m5 voraus hat. bmw betont dass die 8er baureihe nicht die alte 6er baureihe ersetzt sonder höher positioniert sei. sie orientiere sich der 7er baureihe :) marketing shice sry. oder warum hat dann das topmodell- also m8- nicht den v12 aus dem m760 li bekommen?
preisverfall wird jedenfalls enorm sein. schon innerhalb eines jahres. sieht man auch am m5 f90. aber wen juckt's. wer hat der hat. peace

Der m5 ist der klar bessere kauf was preis leistung angeht
@@hasangenc2922 sehe ich auch so. das coupe ist eben exklusiver und diese exklusivität lässt sich bmw gut bezahlen.

@@jonasd3700 because it looks like every other review. What will be the difference if the review was for M8 or basic G30? If I watch your video, I need to get some info that isn't obvious and to understand what's the difference in the competition from other cars. We talk about adrenaline, about speed, about Sport+ and here we see driving like testing new Ford Mondeo.
