    Hahaha also if my mustang ends up looking like yours I'm sorry lolol. But your mustang is turning out to be one sexxxy stang . Don't worry mine is another color. but so far I added the same wing the splash guards. And now have these scoops on their way. Your Content is a+

      Thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate it. Just as a funny side note, my Mustang is the Blue one (with the white stripes). The Orange one is owned by @pumpkineater_s550. That Mustang does look better than mine.

    At first I thought these were passive scoops and I was gonna tell you to cut part of the fender so you can have them as a working heat extractor for the engine bay.

    So the coating is basically just a ceramic coating for the reflection or is it mandatory?

    • @mcgurrentertainment
      @mcgurrentertainment  Рік тому +1

      It's mandatory. When a car is painted, it has three layers on the body: sealant/primer -> paint -> clearcoat. The clearcoat provides a permanent layer of protection and allows the color to shine. Ceramic coating is a temporary protective addition on top of the clear coat (similar to a wax finished).

    Hey man it’s me again so I listened to you and took it to a paint shop where they painted my fender and half of my door but for some reason there’s a slight difference in color paint even tho they used the color code that’s located on the door. I understand there’s always going to be a difference between the bumper and fender because it’s made of a different material but I could notice it while on the other side of the car, the one that wasn’t damaged I can’t tell at all

    • @mcgurrentertainment
      @mcgurrentertainment  7 місяців тому

      Im sorry to hear the paint didn't match the color perfectly. Sadly, It all depends on the paint shop. Some do a better job at matching paint colors than others. Matching metallic paints based on the paint code alone is a gamble when trying to obtain a perfect match.

    Can I do the exact same steps to paint a fender. I just broke mine and I’m buying a new one but I’m new to this whole painting thing so do I just follow the steps to paint a new oem fender ?

    • @mcgurrentertainment
      @mcgurrentertainment  9 місяців тому

      Pretty much. The trick is to keep dust and bugs off of it while you're letting it dry.

      Now, that's a whole different process. If you want that level of perfection, you may want to goto a paint shop

      @@mcgurrentertainmentwould u say it’s worth going to a paint shop for a fender. I’ve called around and they are charging me 1300.

    • @mcgurrentertainment

      It depends on the color. We seem to get lucky with Twister orange; as you can see, the scoop matches the paint very well. However, metallic paints can be a pain (such as Kona Blue). You can see in this video (link below), the blue looks good, but it's not perfect.

    Saw a guy at a car meet recently that had these on his car. They were horribly painted and darker than the actual paint on the car. He talked a hard game, but when he popped the hood, the car was stock. Gotta love people who blow more money to make their car look "cool" than they do under the hood. lol. Mine is FBO and E85. I have maybe $500 in cosmetic mods, and over 2K in performance mods and tuning. Yet these 3M tape bois will talk over you like they know their shit. LOL
    That being said, I do like side scoops, they just have to be done right. I tried running mine black with just a clearcoat and ended up stripping them and color matching them.

    • @mcgurrentertainment
      @mcgurrentertainment  2 роки тому

      First of all, thank you very much for the support. It really does mean a lot.
      Second, yea…cosmetic mods can get out of hand; it’s a slippery slope. And as you know, individuals can get very passionate about their Mustangs. Sometimes car mods and upgrades can start pretty “heated” debates. Owning and maintaining a Mustang creates an emotional connection and as owners, we always want to customize these badass rides to something special which makes us happy. The owner of ‘PumpkinEater’ asked me to paint and install these scoops and I said “no problem, I will do my best.” She couldn’t be happier with the results, which made my day. I enjoy working on these cars. 😊

      @@mcgurrentertainment And your fender vents are actually done right and color matched. Yeah, its a pointless mod, but it does look cool and is certainly cheaper than buying the GT350 fenders. I just found it funny how that guy with the poorly painted side scoops was lecturing the guy with a brand new Mach 1 on how to mod his car... Of course I defended the Mach 1 guy saying all he needs is a catch can and maybe an X or H pipe, and Mach 1 guy agreed. He was a nice dude though, he insisted my car is probably faster than his and I was like "Close, but I doubt it" lol

      Learn to respect everyone's builds my man, that's a lesson I'd recommend for you. Not everyone wants to add tons of money for performance parts, some people like to make their car look cool. Which is what I'm in the process of doing, so yeah I guess I'm one of the 3m tape boys.

    • @mcgurrentertainment

      Thats actually a good question. Some local paint shops quoted prices ranging from $175-$250. And some of the cheaper shops don't always provide good quality. I've seen dust embedded within the clear coat on simple jobs. Plus, it's nice to provide how-to videos for just sharing the knowledge.

      You realize that with bolt ons and tuning a 5.0 can match or even beat a stock GT350 right? Not to mention GT350s tend to burn oil. For the price of a GT350, you could get a 5.0 and supercharge it and have money to spare.

    • @scoobyproper13

      @smasher Devourer If you think the gt350 is all about straight-line speed then you obviously missed the point, my friend. It was only a joke btw buy whatever makes you happy. The 5.0 has insane performance for the price.
