In Silent Hill 1 there are some Portishead posters. You can see one in the diner at the beginning of the game. I love Portishead so when I noticed I was stoked about it.

The movie was based off there as far as I know. The first game I don't think was based off that town. I live near Centralia. Visiting there was unsettling with how empty it is.

The back door of the house where it goes from light to dark i fell face first off the back step then picked up the basketball and played for about 10 minutes , yes you can do more than you think.

Tbf. Resident evil is having a bit of a renaissance lately. The first three silent hill games are incredible though. (Ive played a bit of shattered memories and own origins. Haven’t played the others because I low key refuse to)
I might get hate for this but i started playing on xbox with sh2 never had interest to play the first one. I loved sh2 and it will always be my favorite. I didn't get around to playing 3 but have watched others play it and enjoyed it. I hated 4, it wasn't scary just annoying sounds and I can't stand enemies that dont die. I swear its the most infuriating thing being lost and being constantly distracted and attacked by enemies that dont ever die. Even though sh2 was my favorite I still didn't find it scary just cool and creepy sounds. I wonder sometimes if it would have been better if it was in first person because sometimes the camera angles sucked. I did enjoy origins and homecoming. Downpour was ok but didn't really feel like a silent Hill game. Still haven't played any of the others. I know people criticize the movies but i admit I liked the first movie, i was so excited when it came out. I didn't feel disappointed by it but revelation eh seemed to flashy i guess being in 3d. It was cool but didn't feel like silent hill to me, rather arcade like not believable like the first one.

I love both Silent Hill and Resi franchises. Silent Hill 3 was always my favourite SH game.
