I feel like Tube Screamers always sound better when other people play them. I’ve never liked them in my rig. I just can’t bond with them.
I only use them to boost other pedals, or give a mid boost, to cut through a mix.
Don’t like it by itself.
I’d rather use a Bluesbreaker circuit, to do what the Tubescreamer does.
I know the feeling,I had one for the longest time and finally replaced it with a JHS Morning Glory…just spoke to me the right way

Sounds pretty good..your vibrato is getting down right nasty. Maybe I'll trade in some of my oldies..just ordered a new Peavey Classic 20..finally found what I was searching for without taking out a second mortgage..looking forward to going through my pedal board and see what I want to keep and what might need upgrading..you guys have some great products and content..well done mate!

If you have a technician and he can't get a TS 808 to work, you don't need another technician you need your first technician. Lol. Now make things interesting and go find yourself some original cat whisker germanium clipping diodes as big as your pinkie, and set them up for non-linear clipping... and then you'll have a player! I've had every iteration of tubes screamer... I can 100% proclaim the TS808 Easily has the most mojo... Indeed, The only one that you can pick out of a lot that sounds unique unto itself.
