I dunno, it sounded a little too thin for a good P90 to me. And I've got a bit of experience with them. But you played well.
I thought exactly the same at the first notes, went to hear later in the video and it was the same, good P90 LP is fatter than that for me too... this sounded more as a strat without the strat magic.
I agree. Perhaps it’s because everything he plays is so SRV drenched he just EQs everything that way. I dunno. But it also sounded like a tone somewhere in an awkward place between P90 and Strat.
On the Regent 7 site there are clips of some of their other models. The DC Junior sounds a LOT more like an old Gibson than this. And the "59" burst sounds VERY good (BLuesbreaker like) on the first video. I think the crappy tone on this video is caused by Pedal Pawn choice of amp/amp settings.

I'm sure it's great but I suspect the thin-ness I'm getting (with decent headphones) might be your rig? Would love to hear it thru a well miced amp . . . really nice playing, enjoy it! Just to clarify - the bite from the top end is fine, very '59ish based on my experience with Custom Shop Gibsons (PAF & P90's) and reminds me of some Peter Green stuff - anyway, but missing the low end a bit - Im sure it's there somewhere?

Very nice aging, looks awesome. It's not a hand made guitar though, it's a CNC machined guitar kit from Precision Guitar kits. They're the best kits out there though!

i don't normally 'get' relic'd axes as they just look fake. this one tho...i'm finding it hard to believe that it's not vintage. and those pickups are just golden. amazing, but outta my price range. i have your germanium fuzz, and it's worth mentioning that it's got a warm and gentle...subtle sound - i just leave it as always on.

The best non Gibson Les Paul which are absolutely stunning, are Pannuci Les Paul’s. Chris Buck playes a Goldtop from Panucci, and he says it is the best Les Paul he ever played..
Heritage in Kalamazoo are another excellent choice
3000£ for this is wild I thought it was gunna be a bargain.
why would you sell for low price if you can only make ~25 guitar a year? labour is expensive on such a time consuming build thats what ppl dont understand.

I love the P90 tones you're getting here, not muddy/mushy like some P90 demos I've seen so many times. What amp are you playing through here?
Regarding a small company who builds incredible relics (Gibson style, especially), in case you don't know them, you should check 8 Bomb Guitars! He makes an incredible job too (and great tutorials as well).

3400? That's like 4200! You could get many actual Les Pauls, for that kinda money. & that headstock? I'll take a Tokai, or a Greco, or a Burny, or an Edwards. Ha! Or even better yet, Epiphone Japan! & quite possibly, two of them for that much! Ha!

find it hard to believe those are hand made in the uk for the price , there website does not mention were they are made , if they were made in the uk i'm sure it would be the biggest selling point , i'm not saying they are not great guitars and aren't hand made , just not made in the uk ..

The sound lacks the growl of the Gibson. Nice playing though. Sorry but at 3400 pounds it's a hard pass in my opinion, at that price plus shipping, may as well get a real Gibson and relic on my own.

If I were Gibson, I would C&D them. Gibson have an active TM on their design, they should protect it. If you were in the same position, you would do the same thing.

I have an Agile AL3001goldtop that sounds better than this guitar and its under $1000 Canadian and has real abalone inlays, real rosewood fretboard and has more growl than this one. Im not nocking this guitar as Im sure there are some that like it. Nice playing by the way!

Don’t know if it’s just how you set the tone or the type of distortion you use but not impressed. Doesn’t have that deep dried out tone. Epiphone LP Custom Pros far out play it.
Thank you for the feedback! I can’t say I’ve had the same experience with my old Epiphone Goldtop, this is in a different universe from my experience 🎸
@@PedalPawn it’s all a learning curve but great playing. Think some times it’s really difficult to know how the sound will record. UA-camr Paul Stafford Cook uses his iPhone and gets some great results but when I try it never sounds the same.
Ridiculous, the tone is amazing and the guitar is super resonant.

@@danielktdoranie all depends on the experience and years we’ve been in the game and the guitars we’ve played and own. An honest opinion isn’t wrong or ‘rediculous’ it’s what makes the critique interesting and informative to make an informed decision to buy.
