For the life of me, I can’t understand why BATC developers don’t create the panel for VR out of the gate. I bought this darn thing months ago, and I’m yet to use it because I fly exclusively in VR and I just want to open it up in game. It’s annoying right now.
Thanks for the video, but no luck in VR. As soon as I switch to VR, the click spots are not active. Beyond ATC works fine outside of VR. I am in windowed mode, am using DX11, am using Windows 11, on the slow mode input speed (recommended for Windows 11), have tried the "Invert" feature, have followed all of your settings, etc. Just can't the interaction with clicks in VR. Tried it with V-Pilot, as well. Still no luck. Maybe my Oculus Quest 2 is the issue? I have a feeling it's a Windows 11 problem, which they sort of elude to. I'm on the 3 day trial program. Will not purchase if I can't resolve soon. I fly 100% in VR. Beyond ATC is really not useable in VR on any level without this feature. I wish Beyond ATC had it's "own" in-game panel. Maybe they will soon. Any ideas would be appreciated!! Again.... thanks!
@riidle609, that's too bad to hear. I'm not sure why some people have problems with FS Desktop. Only thing I can think of are mouse sensitivity settings, but you are not the only one who has problems with this software. I never had any issues, so I can't find a solution for you. You might want to try the developers discord. Cheers, Mike
I got mine to work with the exception I had to lower the input speed to slow (I too am on W11). Thanks for the tutorial man, definitely got me on the right track!
I tried FSDesktop with BATC after I saw your last video run Windows10, DirectX11 and two monitors, I startup MSFS and BATC in windowed mode, move BATC to the second monitor and the I switched MSFS to full screen and it works perfect in windows10 full screen mode. When i leave MSFS in windowed mode, I sometimes loose my mouse when i leave it in windowed mode.😊
Many thanks great help, I tryed yesterday with no luck, after your video following the correct procedure it worked so ill now buy it, thanks for the help 😊👍
I noticed that you also use the All In One Tablet. Which one do you like best? I was thinking of getting the tablet, but I like that with FSDesktop I can integrate BeyondATC.
My mouse will not work on the BATC panel in the sim. When I click on the BATC panel it pops up another BATC panel and disappears immediately. I have installed and reinstalled the program but the same thing happens.
After your video, everything was working perfectly…. Until yesterday! Now the VR window cones up blank. Everything works perfectly in 2D mode but as soon as I go into VR…. Just a white screen with tiny picker icons. I haven’t changed anything since it was working. I have been on Discord. Others are reporting the same but no solutions have been offered. So frustrating!
Hi. Thank you for the tutorial. I have followed it step by step but can´t get FSDesktop to work with the Flight Record app or any other app for the matter. I do not have Beyond ATC.Pressing the record or stop recording buttons does work through FsDesktop. Any ideas? I have the same setup you have showed. My monitor is a 4K resolution.
Hi, what percentage is your desktop scaling in the windows display settings? Make sure you use the same settings in fsdesktop. If it’s 125%, set the same in fsdesktop
My mouse does not work on the BATC panel in VR. I have tried everything that I know of to correct this. I am in the windows mode. In VR the panel comes into the sim, but my mouse will not work on the panel and when I click on the panel another BATC panel pops up momentarily and disappears. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
@@Virtusim Thank you for the quick response. I don't know how to put it in legacy mode. I don't know what mode I am in. Additionally I have the same headset that you have and can not use my mic in that headset.
Everything else works fine with BATC except in VR Mode. Additionally I thinks I may have to make my FSMS screen smaller like you suggested in your video so both msfs screen and BATC are on the screen at the same time. Let me try that and I will let you know if that works. I think that may be the problem. You have great videos.
I think I will be able to solve the problem. I understand legacy etc now that you mentioned it. Before I start the next time I will have smaller windows on my main screen. I will let you know how that works.
Hi, when you start the headset, a mic will be added to your volume and mic settings in the lower righthand corner of windows. You should choose the realtek usb 2.0 if I remember correctly. You don’t need to make your screen smaller. I can use both modes. Did you download the vr toolbar from the batc discord server? That one must be installed in your community folder. When installed and you are in VR, you can open the toolbar. I have it mapped to one of the buttons on my yoke. From the toolbar you can then open the batc tool and the window will appear in VR.
Hi . Is there any FPS drop using FSDesktop on VR ? I'm using Quest3 in VirtualDesktop WiFi and mainly airliners airplanes like PMDG 738 , FenixA320 or Asobo ATR 72 600, and they are FPS eater on VR, mainly the Fenixa320 , ( 20-25 FPS in high mode in Virtual Desktop fenix, 25-31 FPS PMDG and ATR72 600) I'm using Intel i7 12th gen , 32gb Rtx4070 win11 and Directx12beta
@@Virtusim Then you are a lucky guy ,it happend to me all the time in the early days off VR before i figured out that my windowed screen was the problem. But i appreciate your effort for giving a solution for the problem with FSDesktop. no go for me.Chris needs to adres the problem. :)

They have a VR toolbar app to download from their discord and website. www.beyondatc.net/download

@fred2108 awesome, glad I could help.
Nice one, will try soon hopefully!
Thanks a lot Rene. Have a great weekend!

I like them both. All in one for navigraph and other tools. BATC has a vr panel now.
@Virtusim Yeah, I just upgraded BATC a couple days ago and got the vr toolkit. We'll see how it goes, thanks.
My mouse will not work on the BATC panel in the sim. When I click on the BATC panel it pops up another BATC panel and disappears immediately. I have installed and reinstalled the program but the same thing happens.
Thanks. Could you demonstrate in VR switching focus in FSDesktop eg) from BATC to LittleNavMap windows?
Thanks, i’ll try to show that in a new video

Weird, I used it yesterday in a livestream. It worked fine on my end.

Are you in lock or legacy mode for cockpit interactions? I’m in legacy mode.

If you run fsdesktop with a high refresh rate, you might see some fps drop as with any other application you run next to the sim.
The problem with a windowed sreen in VR is that you click yourself out off the simulator . Its no option!
You saw me clicking on the fsdesktop panel and I stayed in the simulator. My mouse always stays within the screen of the sim. No problems here.

I am using it with DX12...
Really?? I have to try it in dx12. Thanks man! 👍🏽
