Don't you think the car is quick enough as it is? I suppose if you are racing it more power would be good but the standard car has more than enough for fast road use.
I have different opinion. I much prefer G25 with A cam, I feel this is the nicest combo for street car, how they car should felt from factory. I am not a fan of stock and hybrid turbo's making lots of torque at sub 3500rpm once tuned. G25 is smoother delivery, less impact for engine down low and breaths much easier at the top. Good data and comparison, similar to what we are seeing on our customer yaris's too.
I've seen only one person promoting with such efficiency an all around approach to tuning. My automotive hero Steve Dinan of Carbahn. Furthermore, I remember you were talking about an innovative turbo upgrade from UK. Can't wait for your new coilover solution, too.
Thankyou Lambros, this really supports me in this venture, and I’m going to do better in the near future! We will see about those two mods, still no confirmation
Yes, not everthing shoes up on the graphs, but the EZ cams I got are quite pointless unfortunately: its either a good tune on stock or A cams from my point of view. Driving the car, you don’t really fell anything missing down low, but much more in the high rpm range!
@@PIRASMotorsport I am undecided between Syvecs or MoTec but the choice for my future build is clear. Your research shows the pros/cons of Ecutek and stand-alones and even with their new updates, not as performant as Syvecs or MoTec. Would love a sorted and stronger gearbox to mate with this type of profile! 450hp is my goal and I think what you’ve researched and reported shows the clear path for all G16E owners today!

@@PIRASMotorsport Agreed. My estimate for the parts on a solid build will be $20-25k USD minimum. By the time I have enough saved I’m hoping for a little more flexibility in that range. I love the video. All is there. The only thing missing is what is the costs for the different options. I guess this will change all the time so it might not be a useful question to ask you.
I know you can screen shot the details, I wonder if it's possible to have each comparison as a file or pdf so we can download them and zoom in more acutely.?
From the mouth of a friend (engineer working for toyota BE): "those engines are not made to endure much more than 320hp, so people shouldn't be tunning them at all, just enjoy it as they are"

Great video, thank you 👌🏼Is swapping out the stock turbo an engine out job?
HIGHLY informative! THANK YOU for this! Gives me clear context on the path for my GR Corolla.

Super informative! Thank you so much for doing this. Been thinking about cams and springs on my car so this is perfect

Amazing video mate, very informative!
Glad to bring you this information, it cost me a lot of money and time!
Apart from the numbers, it would be nice to see the experience of driving with A cams vs EZ, not everything shows up in the graphs

Have you also tested the A cams with no ECU tune?
Without an ECU tune the engine won’t work mate! Thankyou for your support
Very good video Adriano!
Thankyou!!
Wow really good info. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Hey, on the turbo graph I like the one with the green line, called "syvecs cams". Is that with stock turbo? which cams?
Stock Turbo and “A” cams: this shows exactly the difference with the EZ cams, that nobody should buy

Yes, we can dig into the costs more, although this does change a bit depending on where you go…
Great info, thank you!
My pleasure!
So no cams, but with syvecs ecu got more hp then with the regular ecu?
Almost as much as with the EZ cams on EcuTek, yes… Syvecs gives you much more flexibility and control in tuning, but at a huge cost
Do you have any information on how much torque the gearbox can take? The only info I've found around is that it's good for about 420Nm.
It should be good for 500nm prolonged use, provided you drive it sensibly
@@PIRASMotorsport Where did you find the info? Can you provide a link or a document?

Hi, what other mods were done to your car with the ecutek tune + EZP cams and what mods were done to the car with the syvecs + Kelford A cams?
Hello,
Basically same mods: intercooler, airbox, 70mm exhaust decat
Adriano , what about A vs B cams?
Unfortunately we don’t have hard data on those, but I can tell you that the B profile works better ok builds over 500hp
what psi on yaris ? g25 550 for 2000 cc will work ? 7000 rpm ?
I’m not sure of your question, but my map peaks at 1.8bar and tapers to 1.3
1.8 bar on torque and taper 1.3 on max hp for the turbo speed ?
@TheSol115 350hp
Is the HP quoted in wheel HP or engine HP?
Engine Hp, where these cars make 260hp stock
Great video! 👍
Thabkyou Sven!
Great info AJ, as others have said, you have the choice there and ifo to look at 👍

From the mouth of a friend (engineer working for toyota BE): "those engines are not made to endure much more than 320hp, so people shouldn't be tunning them at all, just enjoy it as they are"
This is true, but OEM’s usually have at least 1.5x safety factor on sports engines. Next week a video explaining the failings is due

NVH or not.
I just moved the turbo and made one 800hp going strong still so I like this platform to tune on.
