The knock on wood song is the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. They’re ska-esque as far as I remember. Cherry Poppin Daddies was more swing-like, but don’t really know classifications very well. I always loved the swing music though. So much fun. I actually didn’t know about skacore till a friend randomly showed me this. I think it’s energetic and fun. Plus brass kicks a- Thanks, guys!

My son was in a Ska band. There were guitars, drums, brass. He played trombone. This sounds about right, only they have way more experience, compared to high school kids. I heard the kids a couple of times, but they were only allowed at certain venues (like community centers) if they cut out the swear words. I know there’s metal in this band too, so I wasn’t surprised by a little screaming. Thanks, Dani, for requesting this today. I enjoyed the conversation about how y’all put together the fusion of sounds and what the song represents. Hope your weekend is going well and you’re able to do more exploring. Catch you tomorrow! 🎶 Cyd
