I showed my parents _Lochdown_ yesterday, and they were nostalgia tripping on the cars, my mother kept worrying “these idiots are gonna ruin these cars aren’t they”, they laughed at the funny moments, but this scene made they bust out completely laughing.🤣

So basically combination of the "Seamen" episode and the Top Gear US Special. That could be entertaining. I'd predict the same boats would be seen as in Seamen, except for May who would have a small stern-wheeler.

Hammond has used an outboard before though?
He bought one for a million pounds off Jeremy for dampervan 1 and IIRC 2. But I think it sunk before he fired it up.
But that was an enormous one. I think the steering was tied into the van's systems somehow, because you can't operate those big ones by hand. So this type of outboard motor my well have been his first.
@@Aine197 it was a tiny 2.3 horsepower one he bolted to the back rail. It was after he snapped his propeller/prop shaft when entering the water and had no forward power.
So this was a slight improvement.

The guardian said these special was so staged that it painfull to watch, and here iam just enjoying what ever these 3 man doing while they still at it.

@@jkflipflop98 looked pretty real to me tbh. He’s an old man they fall over easily. Though I agree he probably knew the caravan was filled up, it didn’t matter to me while I was giggling like a maniac.

At this point of watching it, I was thinking about how Hammond hasn't crashed his car yet... Then he crashed the boat!
They should rename them "Compo,Clegg and Foggy"
And rename the show "Last of the Summer Gear".
I am pretty sure this wasn't scripted AT ALL. He had no life jacket inflated, the water is FREEZING. They were cold just pumping gas and look what Jeremy and the rest are wearing. ITS COLD.
Then i saw on some interview he forgot to pull the life jacket cord or something, and he is in full boots and clothes and jacket, thats hard to swim in.

Yeah the fact that they are still out there for us and still doing this. No matter what episode no matter how bad still hats off to these chaps. Will admit though that I still haven’t seen a bad one so idk what people are talking about. They are great and are really just making everyone laugh.

The ending was disappointing

Should've been James to use the boat as the tow, at least he would've understood the physics at play with a tiny boat pulling a big weight while not tied up at a center-point. As soon as Hammond gunned the engine I knew he was going down lol
I mean, the angle at which he's holding the outboard motor just before the capsize definitely didn't help... It was unstable anyway, but giving it full beans in that position pretty much guaranteed he was helping himself to a cold bath...

The only funny part... the rest of this episode they were just wasting money constantly and switching ideas every 10 minutes.

Then always go to places like Edinburgh and Glasgow??
Like yeah, that's not really Scotland. They're just places to house tourists and idiots.
Go to places like Aberdeen, Inverness, Nairn, Elgin, Breamar, Ballater, Aboyn, Beauly etc.
Because that's the real Scotland. That's where you'll find the best people....who are actually Scottish. Because 90% of the people who live in Edinburgh and Glasgow aren't actually Scottish. And they gave forced horrible accents that have been made to sound Scottish rather than actually being Scottish.
People in Aberdeen speak a genuine Scottish language called "Doric" it's genuinely incredible to listen to and impossible to understand. And it's not like Glasgow where it's all forced to sound more Scottish, Doric changes words into a complete different language and it's beautiful and their culture is brilliant.
Honestly, go to Aberdeen and you'll see what I mean. Nicest people in Britain (them and folk from Inverness and Nairn)

That was a tiny boat, and a massive pier. Also, Clarkson loves boats, it's one of the few things he's done well. So, why is he standing on the pier telling the brummie how to do it, while the Physicist of the group watches in silence. He could clearly see that that tiny boat was not going to shift that massive barge that wasy.
