@@iB4D3Rx No on the Ghosting. As far as response time it works very well, I use to play mainly console and I swapped over to PC. It’s almost too fast especially compared to what I was used to lol. I have an RTX 3070 and an Ryzen 9 as far as colors they are pretty spot on especially if you go into the nividia control panel you can do all the adjusting you want to whatever your liking is.
I just recently ran Ultra High settings on RDR2 and it looks beautiful. Definitely recommend the monitor especially for the price. I believe I got it for about $327 at Best Buy.
Just ordered this today, and watching this video after the fact. I'm excited to get this thing set up with my 3060ti. And was excited to see that I'll be able to do the 1440p 120hz Xbox stuff too!

I don’t know if he mention it but it does uses LGs nano ips panel so it will be somewhat a lot better when it comes to color accuracy than most gaming monitors!

Thank you. The other reviews I found in google were for the older version of this monitor that had a TN panel and I guess had some color banding issues with shadows. While I am on a 27 inch 1440p gsync monitor now at 144hz I really hate the TN panel. I have to use the spyder x elite monitor calibrator just to make the colors decent. After seeing this review I am going to pick one up at best buy and run the spyder x calibrator to make a nice icc color profile.

@@Reverse_Goat yea. Maybe since May but it was around that time. It works really well. The ips display is nice and vibrant and is very good for color accurate work. I do photography so I need a screen like that, but I also game a lot too so the high refresh rate is good for that as well. Also a very beautiful design.

Hp Omen 27i user here I had this monitor for 3 days now and its a phenomenon of a monitor. Its one of the most cheapest monitor in our country (Bangladesh). Its the same panel as the LG 27GL 850-B just at a lower price. I am really happy with my purchase and nice to see a big UA-camr reviewing my monitor. Now finally I can say I bought a no compromise Nano IPS panel........ If you need more information I can tell you here

@@TheLavac In our country this is the cheapest one..... Cheaper than LG..... and yeah this is just a cheap LG 27GL850 without the cons of the LG you have to change the overdrive settings for 60hz and another for 144hz but for the omen 27i LEVEL 2 is great and you are all set.
Damn, I wish dell, lg and msi could learn from such a aesthetically pleasing design here. They still beat this one in terms of price and performance for similar specs to this but their designs look terrible to me.

I am a casual gamer (mainstream titles Halo, FIFA, CoD etc.) and Graphic Designer. This monitor is hands down the best thing for the price if you're working with media and want to game.

I just bought this monitor for my pc for $500 plus taxes, and I’m shocked with its image, it’s Beautiful and the response time it’s ok. I’m really satisfied. I think the price is too high but I’m still satisfied with the resolution and details really good colors and Images.

Still kind of new to pc gaming . But I found a rtx 3070 pre build for $1200 . And it works and looks wonderful on this monitor. It’s a super upgrade from 1080p .

Just picked up a used one off FB marketplace for $150 and I’m stoked. I’ll use it for work and maybe my Xbox for now, 4070ti PC build is coming in the next couple months

Yup, got 2 of these, both at 165. But 165 is not always the speed at which games run. 2080ti and AMD 3900xt. Good enough for gaming.

any differences between this monitor and 27gl850? Which one and why?
The lg does have a bit better color accuracy but they both use the same nano ips panel so honestly it’s which ever you prefer as they both have great color accuracy. The lg does support hdr but honestly it just makes your screen a lot brighter so up to you if you want a brighter screen or higher refresh rate but honestly they’re both pretty much the same

This vs the samsung g5 vs lg ultra gear what would be the best?
Do you think ps5 will have an update to support it? I have the ps5 and a little disappointed but hoping they will do an update in the near future. Because I can’t find a monitor that does 4K at 60hz and also 1080 at 120hz for call of duty Cold War. Not sure what my best option is since I only have a week to return this

This monitor looks amazing, my 240hz Acrer Peditor monitor went out on me.. so I bought this off Facebook market place, "local pick up" and I was blown away how much better fortnite looked on this monitor, and at 165hz it's good enough to play, and waaaaay more beautiful then a 240hz monitor.. this was my its 1440p monitor.. and i LOVE the graphics... I love th view of the game.. just looks so much better! Go for it!

If you want a monitor with the same specs but "G-Sync" certified go for the Viewsonic Elite XG270QG but the 27i is a good alternative. Also cheaper.

@@robhewitt5640 With the G-Sync certified chip you get variable overdrive which just gives you better results at lower refresh rates. With G-Sync compatible you can experience flickering during frame swings and at 80hz and lower you get weak motion clarity than VRR off due to static overdrive. Only thing is you are locked to an Nvidia card 🤔

A lot, but from 1440p to 2160p isn't so noticeable, at these sizes anyway, for performance it's better to stick at 1440p at the moment and get a faster display refresh rate.

considering of getting this. but has anyone been affected by backlight bleed or clouding? not IPS glow, I know that’s a given with IPS panels. I’m talking about actual light bleeding through from a spot, or multiple spots that don’t go away no matter what angle you’re looking at.

How does this monitor support 120Hz on Xbox Series X when the monitor has HDMI 2.0 port? I thought they needed 2.1 to hit high refresh rates?

Hello I was wondering if this monitor is 1ms response time? I purchased one called HP OMEN - 27" IPS LED QHD FreeSync & G-Sync Compatible Gaming Monitor (DisplayPort, HDMI, USB) - Shadow Black. It didn’t mention anything about it being 1ms response, how would I know if it is?

Yeah, going for the rtx3080, so I'll be good 4k. But I'm a bit concerned really. It seems this gen is all about 4k, and I don't want to miss out on something that's really beautiful, unless 4k isn't that big a difference from 1440p
Yeah thats the question. If you have the 3080 id look at lg 950 and also samsung G7. There are screens coming q1 which are gonna be hdmi 2..(asus, acer, viewsonic).
P.s have been trying to decide. I might save money and go 3070 n samsung G7. (VA panel)
I'm building my first pc, and have been using your videos to learn about how a pc works as I'm not very knowledgeable in the IT industry. I getting a 3070, but I'm not sure about my CPU. I was going to get the ryzen 5 3600 but wasn't sure whether to splash a bit more and get the ryzen 3600xt or do I splash even more and get the ryzen 7? I won't be gaming in 4k, and I was supposed to be on a budget... that has been already broken by the 3070. Any advice would be appreciated by yourself or any other tech nerds in the comments :)

Lg850 you have to disable the gsync in order for you to get 1440 120hz in series X. Just got the Omen 27i. About to test
Got mine during the sring sale at best buy for 350, I love it but still use my 32" samsung curved 1440p 144hrz omen definitely has better colors and sharpness but the samsung looks smoother to me

Hm I doubt someone can read this comment now but well, I just got this model and discalimer - this si my first IPS panel and I see darker area near left and right edge. Specially when white backgroud is printed - webpage - it is disctracting. Now I am not sure whether is it IPS specific case or my model has defect.

I just bought this monitor and im super happy with it.. However there is a problem when watching netflix in the 120hz 10bit color mode.. it keeps showing up a more lighter big white bar in the center of the monitor.. The problem does not happen in the 8bit color space.. So basically the 10bit color thing works too, but not compatible with netflix app for some reason..

Hello, I purchased this for my xbox one x and it works great. My only concern is it does not have HDR nor DolbyVision. With that said when I connect my xbox to a dolby vision or hdr TV this monitor is still way better in terms of color accuracy. I notice something as small as the Black OPS colors being very red compared to my TV's its slightly red and does not pop. I purchased it for $400 so would you recommend this for the new XBOX Series X or are there other alternatives you suggest?
It has a contrast enhanced that basically does the same thing as hdr. The colors are super vivid and they pop and look great
