Well-played, Baxter! I’ve had a Lowden for 23 years and still can’t make it do that. I see by the other comments, I’m not the only one here humbled by your prowess. More of this sort of thing, please!
Wonderful guitars, but I really enjoyed Baxter's fantastic playing in this video. I'm so used to watching him and Jonathan just chat on this channel I wasn't aware of what an amazing player he is!!
Very tasteful playing Baxter. I couldn't even justify having something so beautiful in my home. My kids are attracted to expensive things like magnets.
@Baxter Just beautiful. I love how your left hand actually makes chords and such. I wish mine still did. This month, just when I was gearing up for a second surgery on my left wrist... Wham! we are now gearing up for a FOURTH surgery on my Cervical spine instead. Please pray for me ya all, and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays
@@keestoft250 Hey Kees, Thanks a lot! My wife thinks I play great so... that's a gift. I keep playing/practicing/hoping. Thank you for the kind words, man I can use them. Happy Holidays!
Guitars all sounded really good. The playing was exquisite! Baxter you need to do some additional plugged and unplugged videos so we can enjoy your guitar magic
I have an F35 redwood/cocobolo. I'll probably never be able to afford another guitar that good, but that doesn't matter as the one I have is probably the best sounding guitar I've ever heard ❤️
I love Lowdens and have done since first hearing Richard Thompson when I was 12. One day…one day. Can’t help think that the Sheeran tie-in is going to do more harm than good. I know three long term Lowden players (including an uncle) who have switched brands since he came on board.
What, you mean they got rid of their existing Lowdens just because of the Sheeran connection? Seriously? 😳. I don't much like that either, but they will have to prise my F35 from my cold dead hands!
No pickguards, yes!. I always wonder why higher end guitar makers put pickguards on the top of a guitar. That is the part that is supposed to vibrate and create the sound. The pickguatd has to dampen much of that. No? Edit. I see they are there and clear. But my question is the same.
Strangely enough way back in 1990 I went into Ivor Mairants guitar shop in London with the intention of buying a Martin .......and bought a Lowden O25c instead . still have it
Awesome playing 👏
Beautifully crafted. Thanks making those sing, Baxter. Great way to start the day.
Those all sounded really nice. Baxter… You’re playing on this was fantastic! Really great video.

Baxter playing the Lowdens (in any of the Lowden vids) is a very special thing - can really feel the connection.
Cool. The playing tells you exactly what you need know about the guitars. Really relaxing to listen to with a nice glass of red! Thanks.
The cedar walnut is incredible.
I've had my Lowden S27F since 1983, it's simply the best guitar I've ever had
The Made In Japan Series?
@@markwarnberg9504 Yes the Yairi shop in Japan
I have one myself, serial #1443. Bought it winter 1980. Beautifull guitar, wonderfull sound.

Beautiful !! Both the guitar and your playing Baxter. A great way to wake up !! Thanks.
as usual wonderful playing ... thank you for taking the time , beautiful
Wonderful group of guitars. All sounded really good. Nice playing Baxter, always enjoy your work.
Absolutely love the F50 sinker Redwood, and I think that is going to be my next guitar.
Love my 32se but the warmth of that F50 is unreal.

Good luck with everything, hope you can still play guitar enough to enjoy yourself and relax, I'm sure it helps.

Stunning guitar tones...
Nice performance too😎👍
😎👍❤🖖
Hard to beat a Lowden in an alternate tuning. I’ve had my F12 for 25 years still my favorite guitar. Nice playing too!
They were hard to beat when you bought yours
Amazing playing on some amazing guitars!
Thanks, Baxter🙏
Beautiful playing on an amazing instrument
Thanks Baxter what a great way to start my day!

Great sounding guitars, and great sounding playing!
Great playing and lovely guitars.
Great playing, but man those Lowdens sound Amazing!!!
That sinker redwood sounded the best on my computer speakers. I may have to grab my headphones and listen again.
One of the best things to come out of Ireland without a doubt!!!
Gorgeous guitars

Wow … that’s an amazing tone.
I’m kinda digging the clear pickguard.
Great viz! Would you say the Lowden S is exactly the same size as a classical guitar?
Mesmerizing
Amazing playing. Instruments sound so good too. Interesting the choosing to cut off your head visually now though. Lol
Doesn't want to distract anyone with his amazing hair? 😂
Is that Sitka spruce on the S34? It looks much whiter than normal Sitka.
Next have Johnathan play all the mini guitars. Up first the baby Taylor….
Baxter the folkie!
Surely spoiled for choice here, they are all beautiful guitars.
⚓️ Thanks Casino 😎 Sounds good 🥴 not $5K+ gooder 🎸

Lowden uses transparent pick guards, it's what drew me to mine when I bought it. They are thankfully not very thick so don't dampen the sound, IMHO.
They all sound much too trebly and thin in tone to me. Not the sound I like from an acoustic guitar.
Great guitars, but you need to find a better guitar player. He doesn’t do them justice.
Lowden are not as good now as they were in the 90's
=== HOW is that possible Mr. tbeau6663? Do you know how much improvements they have made in guitar building techniques from 30 years ago? ===
Stunning guitars, but a bit outside my means…I’ll have to stick with my Martin until I win the lottery….
